As long as I am in north Florida I will always get my cycling needs met through open road in Fleming Island. The staff always treats you right, is extremely knowledgeable and does excellent work. If you’re looking through reviews trying to find a top notch bike shop stop what you’re doing and go visit the shop, you really won’t find better!

This by far is the best bike shop around. Tommy is truly an amazing bike mechanic. Always super helpful in answering all of my questions. I would not go anywhere else. I've finally found my home bike shop!

Yesterday it was Father’s Day, so my wife and I decided to take our son on a bike ride together for the first time in a long while. I got our bikes down, filled the tires with air and we hit the road. About a mile into the trip, my back tire went flat and I figured I’d have to walk the rest of the trip, but we happened to pass by Open Road Bicycles on CR220. We went to the door and noticed the sign that they were closed for Fathers Day, but as we we continued on, the owner just happened to be in the shop on his way out and saw us going by. He noticed my flat tire, so he waved us down to come back in. He quickly took care of replacing the tire and got us back on the road for a fun-filled day. This kind of above-and-beyond service is such a refreshing experience to encounter. That’s the locally owned small business difference. It’s someone who pays attention and truly cares about the community they serve. We had such an enjoyable time on our bike ride and will be back again to support Open Road. Thank you so much for the friendly and speedy help when we really needed it!

Excellent place! Our family was taking a Father’s Day ride when my husbands bike tire went flat. We were close to Open road so we walked over. They were closed but the owner was just leaving. As we were walking away prepared for a long walk home on a flat, the owner called us back over. He opened his shop for us, changed the tire, and even showed us a bike we were considering. We were in and out quickly and so appreciative that he took the time out of his day to help us enjoy ours! Thank you! Open Road will be our go to for any bike needs!

So HAPPY with this place, my husband took my bike in Sunday am just as they opened, they completed repairs and had my bike back home by 3pm in more than enough time for an evening ride.

I bought a new bicycle seat for my new bike somewhere else. I couldn’t get the old seat off - arthritis in my hands. I brought it here to pay them to put the new seat on. They put it on and refused to accept payment for the labor, even after I begged. I’ll be buying any future bike accessories here from now on.
