I came to this location out of necessity after another tire shop a few blocks away was fully booked. I had run over a nail and simply needed a tire patch. It was late in the day on the 21st, most shops were closing, and I was about 45 minutes away from where I needed to be, so time was a factor.
The employee who assisted me initially appeared helpful, but quickly told me that due to the location of the puncture, a patch was not possible and that I would need to purchase a brand-new tire. Given the circumstances, I asked for pricing and was quoted around $220 for a new tire and installation. When I asked whether any used tires were available, I was told—without the employee checking inventory—that they only sell new tires and that any alternative would have to wait until the next day.
Feeling pressured by the situation and the urgency of needing to get back on the road, the recommendation did not sit right with me. The explanation felt deceitful, and the pricing was excessive, especially considering that a full set of used tires can often be purchased for a similar amount. At that point, it felt less like honest guidance and more like an attempt to capitalize on my limited options.
I decided to call another nearby shop before they closed and was fortunate enough to be their last customer of the day. They immediately confirmed that the information I was given at this location was a lie. My tire was easily patched for $5, within less than five minutes.
The takeaway here is simple: do not blindly trust the first recommendation you’re given, especially when you’re in a vulnerable or time-sensitive situation. Get a second opinion, do quick research, or consult someone knowledgeable if possible. Based on my experience, this location does not operate with transparency or integrity. Save yourself the money, stress, and frustration, and go elsewhere.
To further compound the experience, during the near hour I spent at this location while assessing my options and speaking with the employee, I repeatedly noticed him staring at my chest. As someone who is visibly transgender and has not had top surgery yet, this behavior felt extremely inappropriate and disrespectful.

Great service! I came in to check coz my tires keeps tripping and it keeps saying low tire pressure. I came in as a walk in and they checked it for free. Awesome people! Very reliable and knowledgeable!

Despite getting a flat tire on the way home, the crew here stepped up with excellent customer service to make sure we were all patched up before getting back on the road. Had a small tire issue causing quite an annoyance. Being stuck at the local hospitals NICU I was unable to address the issue myself. Kenny and his crew on Sunday 14Dec2025 we're simply wonderful. Quick, efficient, and got the small debris out of my tire in 30 minutes or less. Now I'm aired up and back on the road with my baby safe once more.
All three guys on site were professional and kind. So much so that Kenny himself did this smaller job for the price of an honest man's handshake.
Kenny and crew I hope the Lord blesses you this Christmas season! You gentlemen rock and I appreciate it deeply.

I've taken my car into Action/Mavis several times and have never had a bad experience. They are always extremely thorough, they always explain what's wrong and the fix (and I'm very bad with cars so I appreciate their patience with me) Highly recommend and they will continue to get my business as long as I'm here.
