As promised…my review from today’s visit. After brushing off not being “welcomed” into the store by employees as they did others, I still shopped and tried on clothes. The Mgr, Ariel was nice and asked if everything fit ok as I was coming out the fitting room and heading to the register. Once I got to the register, it was apparent my cashier Natasha H. didn’t want to be there. She asked for my email address. She said it didn’t take my email address (this email address) because the system sometimes think emails are fake. Ok. I then proceeded to tell her my daughter sent me a 20% that I wanted to use but she also received an additional 15% off for being a new customer. I then showed her the screenshot of my daughter’s emailed receipt. Natasha H. said…we can’t add 2 discounts to the same transaction. As I pressed her because clearly it was showing on my daughter’s receipt, I wanted her to make it make sense. After a little back and forth Natasha H. said, well, that was in Tallahassee, this is Orlando. I replied Ummm it’s still AE so what you’re saying doesn’t make sense. I went ahead and paid my balance, grabbed my bag and proceeded to leave after telling her I would call to verify the 2 discount issue. I was…ok’d through the whole transaction along with contemptuous staring like she was completely unbothered. What she didn’t know was that my mom was with me. Whom remained quiet the whole time. My mom heard her say “She can have an attitude and leave for all I care” after I turned away to leave the store, then Natasha H. stormed off to the back of the store. Thats when my senior citizen mom said to Carolyn B. also behind the counter “What is going on?” Carolyn B. then raised her hand, waived in my mom’s face and said “Please leave our store now”. My mom said NOTHING during this whole issue but she was asking my mom to leave the store. When my mom asked her why because she had done nothing….Carolyn B. had no response. That’s when she asked for a Mgr. Ariel came up , was very pleasant trying to find out what was going on. When I mentioned the additional 15% off ordeal, she said “Did your daughter get the additional 15% off for signing up to receive text messages?” I said “you know what she probably did but I wasn’t asked by Natasha H. for my phone number or name or anything after assuming my email address was fake. I wasn’t offered an additional 15% off for signing up to receive text messages by Natasha H.” Just no, no, ok, ok, no with a straight face over & over again. By this time Carolyn B. apologized to my mom for asking her leave the store for no reason. Even after hearing Carolyn B. apologize, Natasha H. made no effort to do so to me. She was just standing there, refusing to give Ariel (the Mgr.) her last name until she told her to write it down on the paper for my mom & I. Ariel, the manager apologized profusely and even offered to give me the additional 15% off back on my debit card. What she didn’t understand was, I just wanted Natasha H. to make it make sense. Why did my daughter get it 2 days ago and showed her this receipt from that transaction and I couldn’t? It was the principal. Somebody (Natasha H.) was just already defensive for no reason. I won’t blame it on race because it never came up but there was no reason for my mother & I to be treated that way. So…I refused the additional 15% off back on to my card. Natasha H. could of just done her job from the beginning and avoided this whole scenario. Like the saying goes “Pick your battles.” This should of NEVER happened. If you don’t like working around people or in front of people, retail is not for you Natasha H. You had 2 other individuals (Ariel & Carolyn B.) wrapped up in something that they were innocent to. I will be reaching out further to the Corporate/District office to actually speak to a live person about this situation. A google review doesn’t suffice for this type experience.

As much as I love American eagle clothing this store has to step it up in terms of service and cleaning. There were GIANT hair/dust balls in the fitting room... just gross. No one has to vacuum the store at night? Customer service was just "meh." I got into a fitting room and multiple times the same employee kept trying to open my room to let others in. She never once asked if I needed any help with sizing, etc. It's such a far cry from what AE used to be. I just feel like if they aren't ringing anyone up then you are not worth their time. Please try harder.

Plant and Madison went above and beyond in helping me find the right sizes in store and online. I’ve been to this location before and never had a bad experience in general but tonight they made me feel really comfortable as I went to the fitting rooms a couple times and had to swap out items. They were really kind and welcoming. Great location!

Customer service could be better. First time I went to the store, the employees were busy chit chatting with each other and barely looked up to hear that I had to say. The second time they were all glued to their phones, I greeted them and one with his head still down in the phone said hello. I understand they are kids but they could definitely do better. Kids work at chik fil a and the service is always great.

Great customer service from the staff! It was late and they all was eager to help and make sure I was accommodated in any way! I was greeted when I walked in and also asked about the credit card!!! The team was very helpful!! Thank you guys so much and I LOVE my Jean selection!!!

Came in today and the white girl at the front looked right at me, didn’t greet me. Walked out few minutes later, looked right at me again, didn’t speak or say bye. But she greeted everyone else that walked in… Not to mention all they carry is 00 in all the jeggings, not sure what goes that does.
