This company is a joke. I have a leak in their tank that i rent from them and they said there isn't a leak. I can smell propane and then they wanted to charge me to fill up my tank. Here is the thing, I spent over $700 filling it up and I don't have anything hooked up to it anymore. A couple days after filling it up, my hot water heater went out (the only appliance I have on gas) and I replaced it with an electric one. You tell me how is it possible to now have an empty tank when I am not using it and I smell propane coming from it. Worst customer service ever and the people that work there are rude, insulting and hang up on you when you try to use simple logic to explain your frustration.

On going mess for two month multiple phone calls to the call center was escalated 3 times ( yeah right) still no refill or common the tank being replaced etc etc... supervisor said they would get it to the team week later nothing. Read their reviews I really don't think they actually care.

i have had a 120 gallons propane take buried in my yard for 19 years. Heritage Propane put it in and Amerigas bought that company. In February 2023, I smelled fumes outside and Amerigas came right out and turned off the tank. They said a technician would come to service the problem. After repeated calls, he came in in April and said the tank was no longer good. Since I no longer use much gas and it was costly, I decided not to replace. The tech said someone would come to pump out the remaining gas and fill the tank with water. I was to be reimbursed for the remaining gas. After many more calls, to a foreign country, they came and pumped the gas. I got a bill for $302 for this service. Now I have to pay them hundreds of dollars to dig it up and haul it away, or continue to pay rent on it forever even though it's unusable! Terrible customer service!

As for the Amerigas Orlando Office, that is certainly a ONE to ZERO star. However, I contacted Brilynn at corporate and told her Amerigas in Orlando has a ONE star rating on Yelp and I know why. She was super polite, asked what the problem was then Brought the Hammer down. It took nearly two months for the AG Orlando office to figure out what to do with the 2 tanks they put in my yard and it took her like a day to tell them what to do. Then AG Orlando was supposed to fill the tank, as scheduled, no show. I contacted her again on a Friday evening and there was an AG truck at my door first thing Saturday morning. My rating is not for AG Orlando but for Brilynn at corporate.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Amerigas is the worst company I've ever dealt with when it comes to utilities. While every call with their godforsaken call center assures me I'm a "valued customer," I haven't had propane since May 12. Every time someone has come to repair or refill, it takes 3-4 days, and I still don't have working gas. When our hot water and gas stove stopped working, I paid for expedited service for them to refill the tank, which I didn't get. When I finally got them to show up, on May 16, I was told to schedule a repair. It was scheduled for May 22. They didn't show up. They "fixed" the tank on May 24, but couldn't refill it until today, May 27. Today, the deliveryman couldn't get the gas to work, despite trying for an hour. He put in a service request and I called. Soonest they can come is June 1.Every time I call they "escalate" my request and "expedite" what they can, and they still come at the very last moment. My gas delivery could have come 3 days ago if it had actually been expedited, and this problem would have been found sooner, but nope, that's not the way they operate. I didn't even know a temporary tank was a possibility until I started calling around for new service, and another company suggested it. I asked Amerigas customer service if they could bring one, and from what I can tell, even if they could, they still wouldn't be able to do it before my next appointment. Why? No idea.At this point I'm trying to saturate the Internet with as many bad reviews as I can. I have small kids and don't have any hot water, can't do dishes or laundry, and we're heating water in the microwave to bathe. I can't wait to switch companies. I won't be happy until there's either a class action lawsuit or they go out of business. Absolutely the worst company I've ever worked with.

This company is nothing but a crazy joke. My tank was half full, I asked for a delivery and they said my tank was under 0%. Not only they asked for payment in advance, they gave my a tine frame for the delivery and never showed up. When I called them they said that would probably take longer for the delivery. It took about couple weeks when finally fill the gas tank, only because my ex husband called them and give them a personal speech (he his army veteran). Now, the receipt showed that I paid more than I supposed to so I called them and asked for a refund; since March I am dealing with this disservice, I called several times I still not received my refund check. I sent an email and they answered that the refund has been approved on May 4th but it would take 2-4 weeks to finally have my check. This is ridiculous, I am seriously considering of taking a lawyer, but not sure it will works out, because thera are not actual administrative offices in my area. Everything is online or run by foreign people call centers. The worst company ever, I am not surprised to read is on the edge of bankruptcy

Since March 23 I opened a new account to this day my account has a service charge and I am still waiting for my tank to be refilled, a technician who has never come to verify the system. customer service that escalates my situation and nobody does anything. I'm still on hold for a refill and a $114 fee for services not completed. I really can't express anything positive because the experience has been a nightmare. Very disappointing.

The worst!! company to depend on. I am an health care business. We depend on gas delivering on time. I truly wish there was another company in town without Amerigas monopoly in the area. I was told gas would be delivered to my business with in 1-7 days. I request for gas delivery driver to contact me 15-30 minutes BEFORE showing up. A driver came and park on side of street. They did not knock on the door, open the gate or contact anyone. By the time my cameras picked up the truck and went out the driver left and without contacting me. I contact Amerigas and they said they would reach the driver to return. After hours and no gas I called again and was told they will place it as expedited and an emergency list. The day ended and still no gas. I called the next morning early, told the same thing. I asked for a manager and was told that the manager will call me back. I did not hear back from the manager and still no gas. Worst customer service and company ever.

Quite shocking they have a 2.9 rating, can’t believe it’s that high. Called 9/2 to get tank refilled, they said it could take up to a week (ok our fault we let it run out) it’s now end of work day 9/13 & still no propane even though they sure took our almost $800 payment 9/5! Customer service is a nightmare! If there were other options there’s no way I’d choose to give them my business or deal with them. We called 9/8, 9/9, 9/10 assured us each time they’d be out that day. Not sure the JYP is who is servicing us, but it’s impossible to figure out which location they are coming out of.

i got a quote over the phone for filling my newly installed propane tank for 307.9 per gallon. i get the written invoice and it says 398.9 per gallon. I called over the july 4th weekend and speak to a representitive over the phone and he looks back on the phone records and sees where i was quoted 307.9. He tells me amerigas will call me to correct this but i didnt want to wait for them to call so i called today. the rep at amigas said there is no record of being quoted 307.9 so i need to pay the 398.9 per gallon. How did the person that i spoke to over the weekend see the phone record and the 307.9 per gallon but the lady today cant see it? They have lost one customer. I dont see how anyone can recommend this company.

I have an existing account with an above ground tank. I want to change to an in ground tank. The customer service is terrible in the fact that they do not know what they are talking about, and I have to Call and Call and still nothing has progressed in this issue. I even called again and scheduled a 2nd site visit. When the Technician arrived, he said "I have already been here for this", I said yes, and nothing has happened since. He then expressed that he would personally get with his boss and someone would get back with me. NOTHING still. Just a terrible experience. Why is it so hard?

Worse company ever, they came in to inspect the house and my tank was at 50% out of 80%. I have in my account that I will call for delivery. The guy who came in to do the inspection told me that when it reaches 20-30% then I should call. A week later I had a delievry without my consent and now I have a bill that I'm not willing to pay, for something that I didn't order. I have been calling since October to speak with a manager and almost 6 months today I haven't received a call yet. Am I wrong? do you think is fair for me to pay for something that I didn't order and that I did order for it to get it removed? And they did nothing?

DO NOT EVEN TRY WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. So we use propane to heat water (Rinnai system) and the technician who filled our tank last time did not read the meter correctly, so online it said the tank was 53% full even though it was empty. Anyways, we have not have hot water since yesterday afternoon and the earliest they can come out is tomorrow. We have tried to reach customer service last night and today and it seems NO ONE CAN DO THEIR FLIPPING JOB. I do not recommend AmeriGas and I hope they get better customer service because we are now considering changing propane providers.

I've requested a gas delivery (like I have every year for the past 5 years) and received a text that they were unable to deliver today. When I contacted customer service?!?!?!? to learn the reason, I was told that my husband was the account holder and that they needed to speak with him directly. He was on a conference call for the next hour or so and unable to speak with them. I asked for a supervisor that gave me the same line. Five years ago, I ordered the tank and set up the account, I place the order every year and I pay the bill. My husband didn't have anything to do with it nor does he have anything to do with running the household. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Their customer service leaves much to be desired. I'd give them 0 stars if that were an option. UPDATE: my husband called to have me "added" as an account holder. When I asked why the delivery wasn't made, I was told that there was an issue with the driver, that's all. They couldn't tell me that when I called in the first time? I also asked to put the account in my name only and was advised that the process would take weeks as they'd need to make an inspection on the tank and gauges and also run a credit check on me along with paying a fee to do so. I felt I was being discriminated against because I'm "the wife". I'm contacting my attorney.

They SUCK!!! Trying to pay a bill is a NIGHTMARE!!! Talking to talk to someone is almost impossible.
