Here is a shout out to Jason at this Avis location. He was awesome and saved the day. I had just rented my car the evening before and when I got to my car in the morning the key fob was not working. After getting the run around with roadside assistance, Jason was able to locate a battery for my fob and got me back on the road. He was very professional and helpful.

I rented a vehicle from Avis at the Double Tree Hotel across from Universal Studios. Made my reservation online after receiving a coupon through my email account. The coupon was for up to 35% off and free upgrade. After making my reservation for a premium SUV, it would not give me an option to upgrade to a larger vehicle. So I called customer service and spoke to a lady, and she listened to my concerns and then told me I could not get an upgrade from the premium SUV. I told her that I needed a 12-seat passenger van, and I told her that I was a preferred customer with a business and non-profit. She made me a reservation for a 12- seat passenger van for two days and canceled the SUV. With my discount, she told me my total price was $337.67 for the two day rental that was with the e-toll added. I asked her what the total price was, and she said $337.67 was the total, and I prepaid for the vehicle, and when I went to pick up the vehicle they charged me an extra $290.00 after telling me he needed my credit card to verify my prepaid payment. I questioned the charge, and he said there was the additional payment. I have been renting vehicles from Avis for many years at other locations and have never had a problem. I only rented the vehicle for two days because I was not going to get back until late night on the day of the rental. When I took the vehicle back, there was nobody at the counter, so I waited a while before I called the customer service line. The agent was rude and told me I was getting charged because they closed at 12 noon. This location is at one of the largest hotels in the area across from Universal Studios it should not be closing at noon. And they should have a drop box. I asked if I could leave the vehicle and bring the key back the next morning when they open. He told me I would be charged and was very rude, so I asked to speak to his manager. He gave me a number, and after talking to the next agent, she just put the phone down and had me waiting when she came back to the phone I asked to speak to her manager and she put the phone down again and her kids was in the back ground playing and yelling. She never came back to the phone, so I hung up and called again and got an agent, and he took my complaint after I told him I had made a complaint about being over charged the day before. I will never rent from an agent over the phone, and I will not recommend the rental location at 5870 Major Blvd in Orlando, FL.

I’m livid!!! I’ve rented from Avis a few times and this is my first time having an issue. I called them a day before my rental was to be turnt in to extend. The first customer rep I got was all over the place with pricing and told me to call someone else because he couldn’t help me. So I called them right back and got another rep she was very helpful however she told me for the extension I would only pay an additional $47 once she made the modification it went to $221 additional! She did not know how to change it back or nothing. I’ve been calling them about this discrepancy and keep getting the run around I can’t get to a supervisor at all. To avoid all confusion I turned the rental in on time instead of the extension time and still was charged.

This was my first time renting a car in Avis and it was also my worst rental experience. My reservation period is from 10 am July 9 to 6pm July 11 . On the morning of July 9, I called Avis to ask when the car can be picked up at the latest that day, because something happened that day. Avis told me with absolute certainty that I could go to Avis at Double Tree Hotel Orlando and pick up my car any time before 6pm. But when I arrived at 5:40pm, the staff has already left !!! As a result, I made a trip in vain and did not pick up the car, which completely ruined my travel plan. I had to go to the Avis again on July 10 to pick up the car. I called Avis and was told that after returning the car on the 11th, Avis would refund me one day rental fare. But I was very angry that when I returned the car and called Avis, they told me that I could not get any refund !!!
Because of Avis' irresponsibility, I had no car at all on the 9th, which completely disrupted my plan. I don't know why I could not refund the rental fee for that day???

Well the customer service was lackluster. I made my reservation online. I get to the Hotel and the workers didn't ask for any information. I told them my name and a guy handed me a set of keys and said your in parking spot #8!!! THAT WAS IT!
I requested a SUV however they gave me a 2024 Cadillac CT4!! Very easy process I just hope they don't try to charge me for dents and scratches since they didn't walk out with me to view the car which all other rental places do. Overall I would rent with them again.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly place to rent a car. They work quickly and took my rental request last minute which was very convenient for me. Thank you Avis!!

I booked a car weeks in advance and when I went to pick it up, their ID scanner wouldn't scan my ID. We tried every license in my party (4 in total) and none worked.They refused to rent me a car because their machine wasn't working.Called their customer service and they were no help.Avoid Avis, especially this location. They are useless.

VERY BAD SERVICE, I'VE BEEN CHARGING FOR MONTHS AND ASKING FOR THE DEPOSIT TO BE RETURNED AND THEY ONLY ARE WORKING TO NOT RETURN IT. THEY ASK ME FOR DOCUMENTS AND EVERY TIME I SEND THE DOCUMENTS THEY COME OUT WITH SOMETHING NEW TO NOT RETURN THE DEPOSIT. IT IS NOT FAIR FOR THEY TO PLAY WITH PEOPLE LIKE THIS I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO MAKE A FORMAL DEMAND SINCE IT IS NOT FAIR.
