We truly enjoyed our night out at this restaurant. Our waiter, David, was great! He knew the menu so well, and gave us incredible recommendations. We were celebrating a birthday during our visit, and he made us feel so treated! His service was exceptional, and he was so kind and enthusiastic! We never felt rushed during our meal, instead we really felt like we were welcomed by him and able to enjoy our vacation. A much needed feeling! Our only critique would be for the restaurant decor to be “revamped”. We love Italian culture, but felt the decor was a bit dated. But we looked past this, as the food and service were wonderful! Highly recommend!

I was taken here for my anniversary. Our waiter Tony was perfect and gave great recommendations for us on the menu. For appetizers we had the Bruschetta. I would highly recommend to get it so amazing! For drinks I had a pomegranate martini & and old fashion. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to celebrate intimate or an event. Atmosphere was perfect for us and i’m sure would be for anyone.Dessert we had a flan that was brought to us for the celebration.

Just another wanna be high-end restaurant, filled with ego instead of quality food. You want to spend $200 to be dissatisfied be my guest, but I won't be theirs again anytime soon !

Edit: attached is a photo of my response to GM, since I over exceeded characters to express myself.*****I had my first experience at this restaurant Sunday, February 18th. I was taking my girlfriend for valentines day dinner since I work 6 days a week and was unable to take her on the 14th. I had made reservations at 8:15pm. We were seated promptly with no delay. This is were things started to go downhill. There was a "manager" by the name of Francesco (for only 1 night since the head manager, Emilio was off) who had a terrible attitude, a terrible way of talking to people and overall a disrespectful personality. I had asked him a question about what wine would pair well with the osso buco. His response was to get the bottle of wine (barolo), which was $120. Now, it wasn't about the money, it was more so the question I asked that did not get answered(which was what wine pairs well with the cuisine). Seemed like he just wanted me to order 1 of the highest priced bottles instead of recommending a wine that will pair with my food. Instead I was insulted because when I asked for a glass of his recommendation he said that, that particular wine is only sold by the bottle. To which he then said i can get a differenct since i couldnt afford the bottle. Not only was I disrespected in front of my fiancé, but he also did not recommend me a different option from the question I had asked earlier. The night continued to be a nightmare because when I ordered my food the risotto was undercooked. He offered to make another risotto, but by this time it was already 9:55pm. Earlier In the night he refused to let me hold a menu because at 9:30pm kitchen was closed and I could not order any more food since they would be cleaning the kitchen. Now how would they open the kitchen up at 9:55 to remake the dish? I told him no thank you, because it was getting late. When I asked for the check. Francesco completely avoided our table, had other servers box our food and clean our table. After about 10 minutes of avoiding us he finally bring a check where he only took off $10. Keep in mind the osso buco is $60. He tried to say he did us a "favor". That was unacceptable. You expect me to pay $50 for a dish that only came with the meat? It's not my fault the food was not cooked. He then continued to tell me that he was the manager while standing over me and yelling in my face. I had asked him nicely to back up because quite frankly I'm much larger and younger then him and you don't come up to someone and talk to them like that. sir if it was anybody else that you talk to like that, you'd find yourself on the wrong end of the board. all in all the food is delicious but Francesco is a terrible service representative. He will embarrass in front of your lady. Blame you for not liking how the food is (since they cook it correctly) - undercooked, crunchy risotto. God forbid you try to reason with him he will yell at you and call security because he can't man up and take accountability for a mistake on their end. I hope you do not experience what I did tonight, but make sure if you decide to go here avoid Francesco at all cost. All in all the food was delicious, I understand mistakes happen. But yoy don't blame the customer because it wasn't cooked to my liking (that's what he said).. hope you have a better experience then I did.

Was happy they accommodated our hearing impaired party with a quiet room. Tony the server was friendly, comical, knowledgeable, a true gem and was the highlight of the evening. The good review ends there. Food was mediocre at best. As a family of four, we pride ourselves on enjoying a great meal, no matter the cost. But coughing up nearly $500 for 4 cocktails, soups, entrees and wine and not enjoying the food feels like a slap in the face. I should have complained but I’m that customer who doesn’t like to make anyone feel bad, especially the server. The soup of the day was very good, and that’s it. My risotto special was awful. The “fresh” crab tasted like it was from a can, the Arborio rice was crunchy and the overall flavor was reminiscent of tuna fish. I cook risotto myself and after taking a bite of the dish at Bice, my husband agreed I do better. The tagliatelle pasta dishes my kids had were overly salty and the bolognese was greasy. Had dinner the night before at the Palm which was exceptional and worth the price. Go there instead and avoid wasting your money here. This is our second or third time eating here during a stay at the Portofino and my husband wanted to give the restaurant another chance, learned our lesson the hard way.

Mediocre experience overall. The hostess was very polite and polished, but the wait staff wasn’t very helpful or hard working. I asked if the gnocchi was in a tomato-based sauce or a white sauce, I then further explained that I tend to lean towards Italian food with white-based sauces. The server said it was red, but never offered advice on menu offerings that would fit what I had just described. I ended up with a linguine dish that was 70% clam shells and very bland. My beer glass sat empty for 20 minutes, I tried making eye contact with someone but nobody seemed to pay attention. No one asked if we wanted additional bread. My fiancé liked her tortellini, so that’s good. Quite frankly, the ambience wasn’t very special either. 2 stars might be more appropriate, but the bread and dipping sauces were good, the hostess was great and my fiancé liked her dish okay.

Superbly delicious. Best cooked squid I've ever had, I think - it's easy to make this too tough but this was done impeccably. And the ossobuco was amongst the best I've ever had as well. Tender meat, great flavor, superb marrow. The Amarone wine was great albeit a bit expensive, hence the deduction of one star for value. And the service was impeccable. There when we needed him, unobtrusive otherwise.

Our meal was wonderful. We recommend the raviolis. The ambiance was perfect. Our server, George, treated us very well. It was our anniversary and he made it extra special. We look forward to returning.

Firstly, the restaurant accommodated us with a quiet room all to ourselves for our hearing impaired guest. Secondly, Tony the server was out of this world...friendly, comical, knowledgeable, he made the experience. Thirdly, food was mediocre and in my opinion, not a great value. The soup of the day was exceptional ( potato & leek). The rest was so-so. The risotto of the day was crunchy and tasted extremely fishy. It was supposed to be topped with fresh crab and frankly it looked and tasted like tuna. The tagliatelle was super salty and the other tagliatelle with bolognese had a greasy taste. Cocktails were good but at $18 apiece, should have been larger. We love the Portofino resort but will likely pass on this restaurant next time. When I realized the risotto dish was $48 when I received the bill, I should have said something but I don't like to be that customer.
