Highly unprofessional and arrogant staff, we booked a car online walked there to pick of up , the staff was not there , there was a hand written note saying “ will be back around 4:05 pm. This location closes at 4, waited 15 mins, called budget , a young man casually walks in and replied “ you called customer service on me , you snitched on me” what an arrogant brat. Like we waited 15 minutes for nothing. Highly unprofessional and rude staff , should be fired.

We reserved a car months ago. When we showed up to pick it up there were in NO CARS AVAILABLE. There were at least 10 other families in the same situation, with reservations, that came in and out of the office while we waited 2 HOURS for a car. Why would you allow reservations for cars that don’t exist? Why wouldn’t you save a car for a reservation you know is coming in? Why wouldn’t you reach out to us to let us know if there is a situation preventing you from fulfilling our reservation so we can adjust our plans? I do understand if we were just walk ins, but you knew we would be coming in! Some of the folks waiting had been told there were cars available that very morning and even sent over from other locations. Why would you lie to your customers? I cannot see any reason why that would be a good thing to do for your business. Your bad business practices ruined our plans for the day. You cost us invaluable time and money during our thoughtfully planned vacation that cannot be reversed. I will never rent from Budget again and will highly encourage everyone I know to not rent from you either. I will say, the young man working by himself in the office was trying very hard to help and doing his best to find vehicles at other locations, keeping us informed of when some might arrive and maintaining a professional and patient attitude with frustrated customers.

Did our booking for a Corolla thinking it wud b jez nice for a family of 2 adults n 1 child. Only for a day, n we returned it for a larger car n got it exchanged for a Malibu. Everythin went well till dat moment wen we tried packing to head to Tampa n later to Miami. We had to get it changed to an SUV. Orlando was super accommodative and helpful over the counter! He offered a few choices of SUV n we opted Explorer. He even did cancellation of our earlier Corolla booking n got us refunded n paid d difference for d Explorer! Perfect start to our vacation in Florida! Thanks Orlando n Budget..

Worst service.I booked a 16’ box truck four weeks ago. It was schedule for pickup today. I went there and there was no truck. They send me to the OBT location to pick up the truck. There was nobody at the location. Now they want me to go to Davenport. ???

I had an extremely negative experience with Avis during my recent car rental. We were wrongly charged for additional services we didn't request, which were added to the contract by the desk operator without our consent. Initially, we had to wait at the desk because the operator wasn't present, causing a significant delay. Additionally, we were given an oversized car, forcing us to request a vehicle exchange.Checking Google Maps reviews of the car rental office, it seems these practices are common, which is unacceptable. I request a refund for the wrongfully charged amount. I had hoped for better service from a reputable company like Avis. Otherwise, I'll have to consider alternatives and strongly discourage others from using this location.

DO NOT RENT from this officeArrived at the office 15 minutes early, there was a sign on the door will return at 2. Returns, I give keys and do the final checkout says he will email me receipt. 36 hours later I get a charge over double the contract amount.I called budget corporate and the employee never closed the rental according to Budget Customer Service. DO NOT RENT from this office

Picked up a minivan here to take back to the airport on the same day. My rental was suppose to be for 1 day but somehow I reserved it for 2 days. Employee adjusted it for a one day period, so since it 11 am I still technically had it until 11am the next day, but/c 1 hour or 24 hours is the same price. I ended paying 1/2 of what I was originally quoted, thanks to him removed the next day. Quick pickup, van was clean. It’s wasn’t 100% filled up & he marked it on my paper also. Return to airport was quick & easy.

When my wife returned the car, was told all was good, we later found out they tagged us for $39 in fuel when she filled the tank 1.2 miles away.Would not recommend this location!! I'm thinking the FL AG may need to do an investigation to see if this is a frequent problem with out of town renters.

We are frequent travelers, and this was by far the WORST rental car experience we have ever had. Within a few minutes of picking up the car, it became apparent that the driver's seat was getting progressively warmer. Before long, it was not only warm but hot. We pulled over to read the car manual, watched Youtube videos, and then called the Budget office (no answer) trying to figure out how to turn off the seat heater. No luck. I'm not sure if the car just had a particularly strong seat heater or if it was malfunctioning, but I had to sit on several shirts in order to make the heat bearable. The anemic air conditioner only made the situation worse. By the time we completed our drive from Tampa to Orlando, my back and legs were drenched with sweat. It was so miserable that I decided to pay for Uber rides instead of getting back in that car during our stay. At 10pm the night before we were to return the car to the Tampa airport, our flight was cancelled. There were no other available flights from Tampa to Houston on Sunday, so we had to look at other options. The best flight option was to drive back to Orlando and fly from there to Houston. As much as I did not want to drive the heatbox to Orlando, at this point it was midnight and the flight would be leaving in 7 hours so I resigned myself to covering the seat with clothes and making it work. I called 3 Budget numbers before finally getting to talk to a person. I explained the situation, and the representative told me it would be more than $400 extra to change my drop off location from the Tampa airport to the Orlando airport (same drop off time). However, if I returned the car to Tampa and then immediately rented a new car (humorously the exact same model of car) to drive to Orlando, the cost would be around $60. Switching out the cars would mean an additional hour plus of driving. Even after getting a supervisor involved, they would not reduce the $400 change fee to the $60 it would cost for a new rental. I hated to pay the $400 fee out of principal, so I called the airline back and ended up accepting a flight with layovers just to make it home. Overall, terrible customer service.

I booked the car, unfortunately we didn't make the 4pm pick up on Saturday as our transfer was late. We collected it the next morning and was charged more than $100 extra. The man wasn't interested and said he didn't know why. Great car but terrible company overcharging us. I bet you don't make it good by charging me the correct price ?You have now took 2 payments out for £990 for 5 days car hire on my card! Disgraceful!

My experience was awful. First, when I arrived to pick up the rental in ORL, I sat in the waiting area for almost a half an hour before anyone showed up. It was just me in a silent office. I had a friend back at the hotel I was responsible for getting to the airport so I was indeed in a hurry. Of course, I was also on a route with no other option than to pass through a toll road, and with no mention of a toll pass (I am sure he could sense my frustration, and he was a very kind man, and he looked to be working alone, I get it) I am sure I signed the contract (again running late, because of the wait) so that should be fun to get charged for that. I called customer service, he couldn't locate my reservation (he eventually was able to), I told him my issue, and after being on the phone with him for quite a long while (a very nice gentleman) He told me he was going to refund my trip, but the system was down, so he would make a note, and that I would get an email once it goes through. Later, I was called into a last minute meeting I needed attend in the morning, coincidentally right at drop off time. Called customer service, again, and asked for them to graciously extend the drop of time by a bit. She was happy to do so for $300! I couldn't believe my ears, and it brought me to tears because of the frustruation. I declined and ultimately made it work. I am renting a car with Budget next week for about 5 days from Miami to be returned to Virginia Beach,VA, and I am seriously regretting it. I would hope that there could be something you were able to do to make it right. I know that I, as a business owner would.
