Awful experience. I paid $138 to rent the car initially, and then got stuck with a $290 charge off additional services at the counter. The personal at the desk continue to yell, "ACCEPT ACCEPT!" as you tried to read what was going on, I have awful anxiety and this made it worse. Failed to mention insurances purchased will be a daily fee. Also claimed gas was cheaper if they did it, not the case $44 additional fee. Never received a receipt at the counter either. Only redeeming factor of the whole experience was customer service on the phone, which must have to deal with a lot of angry customers, who were able to refund me for $30.99. The customer service on the phone were sweet people. Worst of all this was a trip I was budgeting for, it was only a two day trip, and was thinking I was saving by going with budget. I will never use them again.

Not impressed with the overall quality and performance of this Chevy Trax seems like it was into some accident. It hardly would accelerate and felt rough and made a noise. I paid too much for unnecessary things insurance wise thinking that they would clear up and explain at check in desk since this was my first time renting and am covered by my own car insurance company in the US.

Although I had pre-booked the car and selected the one I wanted, the line after I arrived was extremely long, and there were only two agents on duty. However, the biggest disappointment was the state of uncleanliness of the car. It was dirty on the outside, and the wipers were very noisy to the point of being quite distracting. Since it rained in Orlando, we had to use the wipers and it was not a nice experience trying to hear the driving directions over the noise of the wipers. I must say the agent at the desk was patient and quite helpful, and the rental rate was reasonable. We did like the KIA SUV we got (although we had requested a Toyota Camry) - but if only it was clean!

Upon arrival we received a rental less than quarter of a tank of gas, car was dirty not washed and the suspension was loose and wobbly. We asked for another rental and instructed no more rentals available. As a returning customer with Budget very disappointing. The last experience was the most rude female attendant whom I tried to nicely communicate issues with rental would not acknowledge or make eye contact with us. She was ill-mannered impolite discourteous and impertinent. Deprecating customer service! . Happy Thanksgiving Budget never again

Miserable experience. Miserable employees. They are overworked. Slow slow slow experience. Stood in line for 45 mins while the one guy at counter tried to get a date. He wasn't successful but slowed the line by at least another 15 mins. It was the only rental comp within my company financial guidelines but it's NOT worth it. I have super high status everywhere else. Including Avis. But trust me. You will need an hour minimum to get through line.

I couldn't believe this happen again. First it was dollar rental now budget. My car wasn't at the parking spot. Had to wait in line to get another car. It was filthy when we got it, and a cheaper car then the one I was supposed to get. Called for a discount on my bill and had to barter a decent discount. Such a cheap company.

Three hour wait to get a car at the rental counter in Orlando upon arrival on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. Absolutely no explanation from any employee as to why we were waiting. I will never rent with them again which is unfortunate as I got a favorable rate through my Costco membership. If negative score was available it would apply here.

maybe it's nobody's fault that at 1am there was an hour and ten minute wait to reach the rental counter. But the minivan we reserved a month in advance was not available. Instead we were "upgraded" to an Expedition MAX, which sounds like fun. Here's the reality; it was a nightmare to drive/park this monster in Orlando, it wouldn't fit in our garage, it got bad gas mileage, and only had the same number of seats the van would have. Then there's my complaint about this particular Ford. I don't mind that the transmission would slam when shifting out of park, and the engine would surge/hesitate going down the road. What I did mind was that it smelled like someone hotboxed an entire case of menthols in it 10 minutes before we picked it up. When I tried to bring this up to the Budget representative checking cars out, all he said was "mahalo" and waived me on. At 2am I was tired and decided to try and live with it. Mistake. It made my eyes water and gave me a headache by the time I reached our airbnb 20 min later. And would not fit in our garage (the reason I ordered a van). We developed a rotating responsibility within our group, who was going to go air out the Ford before we all got in to go somewhere each day.Besides the odor, there were crackers stuffed in every nook and cranny, and when I rolled the windows back up I realized someone had jammed a gummy candy inside the window track, which smeared all over the glass. Nevermind the sand and other random dirt you don't expect to find between the seats. The seats that are supposed to fold forward to gain access to the back row would regularly jam and require multiple people to push back into place, and the ride height made entry/exit challenging for two remembers of our group (the other reason we reserved a van).I spent a good part of my vacation feeling like I should have just driven the 22 hours from home in my own car.

The rental I received was very nice however. I found the next morning damage on it and when i called in was told since it was minor and to take care of it when i turn it in. So I cut my vacation time short with my family and return it to Pittsburgh which i picked it up in Orlando. After driving it from Orlando to Pittsburgh I take it to Budget return and tell the gentleman who was great that I have a damage to report I was informed it was from a previous renter and it was not my doing. So i call into your customer service only to be offered a one day free rental on my next rental I then informed her that my last rental was 10 years ago that was the best she could offer me. SO AGAIN I CUT A FAMILY VACATION SHORT TO COME BACK TO FIND OUT THE AGANY AND STRESS OF A DAMAGED RENTAL CAR WAS NOT EVEN DONE ON MY RENTAL AND WAS NOT TOLD OR EVEN OFFERED COMPENSATION FOR IT. NOT VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE SOME ISSUES THAT NEED WORKED ON INTERNALLY. James Savage

Very easy to book- I had reserved a very low cost, no name rental. They took my Amex to reserve, but didn't accept it to get the car. I was able to book this on the way back to the airport. The car was amazing IMO- heated leather seats, sunroof SUV. The pricing was also better than others in the area.

Amazing service very efficient, caring reliable. It was just something that you can depend on to come through and some thing that you won’t need to worry about as far as you know. Oh what am I getting? What does it look like budget was amazing. Their quality is top-notch lovely service. The staff is very empathetic and helpful. I would definitely rent from budget for all my car rental needs. They’re awesome.

DON'T RISK YOUR LIFEI rented a car from the Orlando office with serious damage, the tires were damaged from use, with the wires cut visible. On the way to change the car in Clearwater 1 of the tires exploded.I made the claim at the Orlando airport office, incredibly they did not give importance to their lack of professionalism and negligence that put my family's life at risk. That office is negligent and dangerous, do not rent with them

If I could give it zero stars I would. Before we even got to the counter, I could see the Budget lady talking to another lady from a different rental car business. As we approached, the Budget lady, her name was Wendy, didn't even acknowledge us. After about 10 secs, she stopped talking and addressed us. Then she kept trying to sell me insurance. I told her 3xs that I didn't want it. She kept saying "you know we don't stop the rental if you wreck it right?" I was annoyed and told her she's not listening to me when I deny coverage. And then she tried to charge me $50 for the toll pass. I didn't get a good feeling from her so I told her never mind and told her I was going to a diff company and didn't want to be rent anything from her. I walked right over to Alamo, was greeted on arrival, was never pushed to take their insurance, and she didn't charge me a toll pass. I questioned her about it though and she explained that if I use the toll, it would charge me a couple dollar fee on the day I use it. But that there was no $50 fee like Budget tried to charge me. Do yourself a favor and AVOID Budget @ MCO! They are awful...and Wendy (with her LOUIS VUITTON bag on the counter) should not be working directly with people. Zero respect or personality.

Take photos of your receipts. Currently getting scammed for supposedly not returning the car with a full tank of gas which I have receipts for. Who ever took the car just noted the amount of miles the car was driven and then charged me for the miles without viewing the fuel gauge. They also claim to charge you 9.99 per gallon to refuel but it's clear they're charging me for more. Also, the agent that checked me in lied about the amount of tolls there were. I had no problem avoiding the one toll to get to Disney property as there are no tolls within the Disney boundaries contrary to what she said. Just CYA.

Overall, my friend and I had a great rental car experience here: flew in via JetBlue (Boston & Hartford) to terminal C and rented the car through Paisly. The signs to the rental car counter (terminal A/B) were easy to follow. While the wait time at the counter was long (given it was a Friday night in September), the pick-up and return processes for the car were smooth and efficient. I liked how the keys were in the car ready for us. Also given this car was a Mustang convertible, putting the roof up and down was easy (and great for long drives in the nice weather). The only downside was the abnormally large gap of the back window on the passenger side when putting that window up and down: this didn't cause any immediate issues, but we were worried about water potentially flooding the backseat of the car during any rainstorm, etc. Fortunately, that didn't happen. However, I'd recommend fixing this window ASAP for the next guests to avoid potential issues down the road. I'm attaching a snapshot of the passenger side window (odd gap) with the driver side window (normal) for reference.
