“They did a fantastic job installing lvp in the majority of our home. My experience is most contractors cut corners including 3 other installers I interviewed who talk a good game but none would commit in writing to follow the manuf install instructions including properly leveling/flattening the floor except Creative floors. They charge a small fee per bag of leveler used (if any) but that’s better than the economic incentive being to not level it and 2-3 years later you have squeaking, buckling, or cracking. When that happens, they’ll blame something or someone else and that 20 yr manuf warranty is void.
If your installer says they eyeball it and just know if it needs leveling because they’re that good, you know they’re not doing it to the flatness required, so go elsewhere and avoid massive headaches and cost later.”
