I’ve had my late mother’s belongings stored at this CubeSmart location since November 2024. These items are irreplaceable heirlooms that mean everything to me and my children.
While I’ll admit my payments are often late due to my pay schedule, I always pay along with late fees. I’ve never skipped a payment, nor have I ever tried to avoid my responsibility.
Recently, I received a harsh letter stating that on day 31 of being past due (which has only happened once), someone would come to inventory my unit for auction and a $100 lien fee would be added. That email alone was enough to shake anyone—especially someone storing things of sentimental value.
I called to discuss this and was connected with an employee named Jen. That’s where the real issue began.
Her tone was cold and condescending from the start. She repeatedly spoke over me, showed zero interest in listening, and made it clear she wasn’t there to help just to repeat policy. At one point, I had to raise my voice just to be heard. I was spoken to as if I was irresponsible or trying to get out of paying altogether, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
I work two jobs. I’m a single mom. And I’ve never taken this bill lightly. CubeSmart has gotten paid every single month. The way Jen treated me was humiliating, unprofessional, and frankly dehumanizing.
I’ve referred multiple people to this location two of whom still rent here. But after today, I regret that. The customer service has completely shifted since I moved in. When they’re onboarding you, the tone is friendly. But the moment you hit a bump in the road, the tone becomes cold, dismissive, and judgmental.
I was literally told to pay my bills on time. As if I’m a bum.
This isn’t my first negative interaction with Jen.
If CubeSmart values its customers, corporate should seriously look into who they’re allowing to represent their brand at this location. No one deserves to be spoken to that way. I think Jen needs to realize it’s the customers who pay her bills. Without our money late or not she may find herself falling on bad times and having to call a company in hopes they understand and work with her. Humble yourself a little .

Great customer service, easy and convenient move in with no situations to deal with. When you're making moves like that you need peace of mind knowing everything is going to run smoothly and cube smart did a wonderful job helping with that situation.

I don’t think I will be keeping my items here beyond the first month that I prepaid for. I paid extra to rent an air conditioned unit. Got there, and the air was clearly not working. Also, the entire building smelled so strongly of moth balls. When I spoke to the employee, he already knew there was a problem with the AC and that there were moth balls, but it was concerning that nothing had been done about it yet. Instead, he said, “Yeah, we need to make a call about it. It spread so fast.” Very alarming that they know there’s a problem and still need to get around to making a call. Meanwhile, it’s going to continue to spread and get in my things.

I highly recommend cube smart self storage in orlando on orange ave, rented for 8 months, Domingo has excellent customer service and is extremely helpful and caring every time i came and he is truly a blessing to the company, thank you for all you do 🙏🏽😊

Just had a great experience with Domingo and Jenn while renting a new unit. I made a mistake on some of my online paperwork and Domingo got it fixed right up. I was in and out! Very grateful for their time and expertise!
