It was my first time here and, after doing a lot of research for a good haircut specialist in Orlando, I’m so glad I decided to go to Wayne. He listened and understood what my goal was then made it happen. He was not pushy on anything and really focused on getting me where I wanted to be as I told him I’ve never had a memorable haircut before. I’m excited to finally have a stylist l who can cut and style my hair incredibly well.Rosy gave me awesome recommendations for hair cleansing and my hair wash was absolutely relaxing and refreshing.I’m excited to keep coming back here and would do it every week if I truly could. My hair looks and feels beautiful ???♀️

I honestly don’t want to bash this place or my stylist- I won’t be putting her name here, but I did not have a good experience and won’t be coming back. My color is not at all what I asked for. My first appt (12/29), didn’t start until 1.5 hours after my appt time. It was busy for new years, but my stylist was clearly over booked. I was there from 1:15 pm- 7:15 pm for a balayage and cut. I had an event to go to and ended up leaving the salon with wet, unfinished hair (and not the color I wanted) just to make it back in time. The stylist was very apologetic and told me to come back next week to get it fixed.I messaged my stylist and came back on 1/5. This time it took another 6 hours 9:30 am- 3:30 pm, and still not the color I asked for. She took pictures and it looked good styled, but it’s not the dark, blended, balayage look I asked for. Now less than a week later, it looks damaged and honestly terrible- very brassy and orange. For how expensive this was (over $400), I’m so disappointed in this. I’m not going back to get it fixed again because I’m not willing to sit there for another 6-7 hours. I’m not writing this review to be malicious- I actually just gave one star with no review, but the owner below questioned if I had an appt- yes I was a client and I had two appointments.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Worth every single dollar spent. Jess was nothing short of amazing as was Julia who helped me book my very last minute (day of) appointment. I can’t wait to go back!

Came in last month for a balayage with Khristina, she did amazing! I showed some pics of the balayage look I wanted and at first I wasn’t sure if the look I got after getting my hair colored was bright enough. However after expressing my thoughts on the look, she was very kind and was able to make the hair lighter and style it perfectly the way I wanted. Also love khristina’s vibe, she is awesome to talk with! Please note though if you get a balayage, you may be there for 5+ hours. I regret not asking upfront, but did not expect it to take that long. Overall, I love the outcome though of my hair :)

I love this place. I’ve been going to Educe since I moved here 2 years ago and I would never go anywhere else. Phillip and his daughter Jayden are the best stylist I’ve gone to.

I have to say, it was my first time here and Bella did an amazing work on my hair. She listened to what I wanted and she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I finally found someone who can do a bob the way I want it and I will definitely be coming back. Thanks again Bella!!!

This is a beautiful salon with skilled stylists. I was however very torn about my experience. I went for the first time about a year and half ago and ultimately with the price and all around experience decided not to go back.I had an appointment before noon on a Saturday with Khristina. It was busy - but it was the weekend. She was finishing with another client when I got there, or so I thought, but they did seat me almost right away. It took at least a half hour for her to come over and talk about what I wanted and sign the contract for the price- which was new for me. I was hesitant about the cost but was okay with splurging for that time.It took quite some time for her to return to start my hair as she was still finishing her other client. It was my first time having a hair stylist with an assistant but it seemed as though they did all of the mixing and shampooing, toning, etc. She was only ever around to apply the balayage and then she disappeared and I got shuffled to the waiting table. By 2pm I was still just sitting in foils. She did do a really nice job with the balayage and cut. I did like my hair in the end. But throughout my time there, she worked on 3 other clients, who all left before me, and even had a new person come in who sat for an hour waiting for her just to find out she did not have time for her hair that day with what she was requesting.Khristina finished my cut and blow dry and then left for another client and asked an assistant to curl my hair so she could take pictures. The assistant really didn’t know how to and it was taking quite some time. Another stylist eventually came and took over to help me get out the door.By the time I was able to leave it was close to 6pm.I thought she was really nice and did do a nice job on my hair. But I paid over $500 all said and done. I would’ve expected to have her full undivided attention for my service and to be done much faster than 7 hours for what was done.I’ve been hesitant to say anything because I think she is very talented, but I always see her posting that she still has immediate availability and it seems as though she should not be able to double/triple/quadruple book clients.

I’ve been going to Chelsea Ellen at Educe Salon for about 3 years now. She’s an amazing colorist - she’s dyed my hair pink and also blonde. I also have her cut my hair, and she does an incredible job every time. She always has the best shampoo and conditioner recommendations. I would highly recommend her and this salon!

My 1 star rating is based on my 10/13/2023 appointment. I have been a client at Educe for many years. I normally see Jaden or Favi, both who are amazing with cut and color. Because they were both booked weeks in advance, I selected Khristina based on her collective work shown on Instagram. I have seem her work in-person as well and felt confident she could do my basic request. I booked a bang trim (adding long curtain bangs), a dusting of my ends and a glaze (toner) service.I arrived 20 minutes early for my 10am appointment. Khristina was 30 minutes late. We discussed that I just wanted a simple dusting of my ends, to add long side bangs and a basic glaze/toner which was to be a warm, rich brown color. I stressed that I did not want black or anything too dark and to please not cut my hair shorter, just to dust the ends. I provided several photos of the long curtain bang look I wanted along with photos of the brunette color glaze/toner that I liked. I again stressed to please don’t take me black, just a nice rich brown to help warm up my current balayage. She began to dry cut my bangs and the back of my hair. I said “please only dust the ends, don’t take much length off!” I mentioned that the next day was my 50th birthday and I was excited to go away for the weekend with my family to celebrate. In short, I now have black hair and short bangs. After the dry cut, I was sent back to the shampoo area for my toner. The assistant used permanent color on me, not the Demi permanent toner that normally washes out. She applied what I thought would be toner, let me sit for 25 minutes, came back to rinse then added another round of “toner.” I sat for another 25 minutes. She said the first round did not “take.” She did not shampoo it out either; she rinsed me then only added conditioner. I asked and was told that is normal. She would not shampoo me upon request and sent me to my chair with wet dripping hair. She did not wrap my hair in a towel . This “glaze/toner” process alone took almost an hour - this is not normal. A toner process normally sits for 20 minutes.Khristina was not at her station and I waited again. I looked in the mirror and noticed how dark my hair was. Khristina said it’s not so dark and will be lighter when she dried it. It was not.I did not leave the salon until 2:00pm. A basic end trim and gloss should be 75-80 minutes, not 4 hours. She knew I was unhappy when I saw my hair dry when she tuned my chair around to the mirror. I wanted to cry…I think I said “it’s so short and black…” She knew I was unhappy. She tried to style my now short bangs in a different way - nothing worked. That was my 50th birthday weekend. I didn’t take any pictures that weekend because I didn’t feel pretty. I know hair grows but when it’s such a special occasion and when you look in the mirror and don’t feel confident or even a little bit pretty, it’s hard. There are clearly more important things in our lives to worry about but when I ask for a certain service and I don’t get that, I’m not happy. I did give it a week to see if my feelings would change however they did not. When I called the salon, I was told to reach out to Khristina via Instagram. That’s not acceptable. I do not want her to touch my hair again. I’m not sure what can be done to make this right but if Phillip or any formal member of management would like to reach out regarding ideas to help, I am open. As I mentioned above, I have been a customer for many, many years. One bad experience can ruin that relationship and I’m afraid it has.Services: Haircut

I’m writing this on a throwaway account and this is all just my experience and I am by no means trying to say that every stylist in this salon is like this or that their service is bad. I had super thick, long wavy-curly hair. I wanted to get a short mullet style cut and somehow Jess managed to mess it up. It looks nothing like any of my reference pictures. She KNEW it was thick—she even mentioned it to me, but didn’t take the appropriate measures. While the cut it correctly, parts of it were SUPPOSED to be thinned out so it didn’t look like I was wearing a cloud on my head. Before someone says “You should’ve told her,” I had raised concerns about other things and she just dismissed them saying that I was going to be fine. I asked for bangs, and she gave me microbangs. I asked for the ends to not be straight across, she made them straight across. Stop doing what YOU THINK will look good on your client and just listen. Also, I asked for a mullet and she gave me a haircut that is definitely not one. I thought going to a queer hairdresser would take care of that problem, but clearly not. The interior of the salon is very beautiful and roomy, but it doesn’t reflect the quality of the hair stylists.

Do NOT go to Educe!! I went to Valerie for a color correction because another hairstylist put brown in my blonde hair. My hair was at my waist and had split ends. I knew she would have to cut off a couple of inches. I told her I didn't want my hair damaged. This was a concern because the stylist in the next chair was using a flat iron, and the whole area smelled like burned hair! Huge regret that I didn't get out of the char and leave. Valerie over processed and cut about 5 inches off. I lost a lot of hair every time I shampooed or brushed it. It was so dry that i decided not to go back. After 2 months, I was concerned and went somewhere else for a free consultation. There was still brown in the back of my hair (never looked at the back), and a lot of hair broke off 2-3 inches from my scalp, and the cut was uneven all around. The new stylist took pictures and asked if he could get my hair wet to look at it wet and took more pictures. I immediately went to Educe to show them pictures and my hair damage and request a refund (I spent almost $450). They said no because I obviously went to another salon, and the other salon did the damage and bad cut. The only person who touched my hair since Valerie at Educe was at the consultation. He looked through my hair, took pictures, got it wet and took more pictures, and I set up an appointment for a future cut. The last picture shows the condition of my hair at the consultation. I then went straight to Educe. Can't believe they would not admit their error and tried to put the blame on me! They said I went to another salon and the other salon did the damage and bad cut. Educe said the refund period passed (honestly, I could not hold a mirror and look through the back of my hair). They also said Valerie told them my hair was breaking off when I came in. If that is true, why did she do a 3 hour color correction? BEWARE, they are not in business for customer satisfaction and do not care about you or your hair! I have pictures!

This place is a ✨️ vibe ✨️. I'm used to lower end hair salons, I suppose. I decided to step up my game recently and began looking for stylists vs. entities. That's when I found Jess. However, from meeting just a few others so far, I can tell they all provide high-quality service. From the aesthetic to the smell, the cleanliness, and the little touches, everything was lovely. The sinks move up and down easily to get comfy for when they wash your hair, and they mix hair products like potions in a witches layer, and a variety of libations, just to name a few.I rarely set up the next appointment at the end of one for anything, but for once, I was excited to set the next appointment! Highly highly recommended.
