I got a new Wireless Apple CarPlay Receiver installed on my 20 year old Honda. Purchased the unit from Best Buy. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the Geek Squad automotive crew was. Super chill guys and most importantly, my receiver looks fantastic. Gianni R. installed mine and gave me a quick tutorial before I left. If you’re thinking about upgrading some tech in your old car or modifying your new one, hit up the guys here. If you’re Gianni’s boss, buy him lunch, give him a shoutout. You’ve got a good employee working for you.

I haven't shopped at Best Buy or used geek squad in a while and now I remember why. I purchased an Alienware monitor for graphics work and was skeptical bc there were reviews of dead pixels and screens going black. Well, my screen went black. My laptop was recognizing an external display but monitor screen totally black. I bought the 4 year protection plan so I brought the monitor in to geek squad and they refused to send it in under my warranty bc there was a tiny crack on the very edge of the monitor. I had never even noticed it, and probably happened while I was transporting the monitor to geek squad bc I've never moved that monitor off my desk. If that's what caused a $700 monitor to break then fine I'll take it up with Alienware. But the geeks refused to even send it in and just argued with me for an hour about how any physical damage basically negates the protection plan. Every time I've used Greek squad it's been a terrible experience. I don't think they once actually fixed anything for me.

Today I had appointment at 2pm, to have my tablet and phone checked. Mr. Leo helped me, he was very patient, courteous and helpful. This is my second great experience at this Geek Squad location. They don’t even know what they are doing yesterday they told me to bring in my computer diagnostics will covered under manufacturer warranty and if it’s something they can’t do they will send it out to manufacturers warranty. Today i brought the computer and they’re saying no we can’t do anything you gotta send it

Called in specifically asking if they do PS5 repairs. Brought it into the store to get told that they do not do PS5 repairs. Waisted time and gas.

Remote geek squad was on my computer for two hours, two different people, one a "second tier" technician. I was having trouble downloading drivers for the new Brother printer I bought from them. They finally told me my internet connection was too slow and that's why there was a problem. You'll have to have an in home technician, he said. Well I hung up and in 5 minutes I had figured out that if I got out of Firefox and accessed the Brother site through Chrome, all was well. Two hours and a high level tech. can't figure that out. Worthless..

I purchased a washer and dryer combo with installation services and when the installation crew arrived with the products, the dryer was damaged, with some dents. I was told by the crew leader that I could send it back right away or install it and then Best Buy would contact me to either offer a discount / refund or a replacement. They did contact me later on the same day and offered me these 2 options. I chose the refund as the dryer was working properly and I didn't want to go through the trouble of another installation. For my surprise, the refund never came and after numerous calls to Best Buy, they're telling me they can only offer me a gift card, which forces me to spend more money at Best Buy and is not at all what was promised to me. The whole experience was going great until I realized the refund was pure bullshit. I like the store, but if you're ever offered a refund for similar issues, don't fall for it, it's a big scam.
