A huge decline in customer service and incredibly disappointed to say we will not be back. We have been visiting Hogan's for the last 7 years on vacation, meeting Hogan himself and always making this place an essential stop on our vacation. We visited today as a couple and our 5 year old. We were the only people in the store. The lady who was managing the store at the time gave us a brief "Hi" told us its $10 for photos in the ring. After a look around at the merchandise, fair enough, we paid for photos in the ring. It was my husbands birthday and part of his birthday request was specifically to visit here as it's a bit of a tradition. From the point of paying the $10 we were treated almost like criminals, she was shouting orders at what we could and couldn't do, stressing that there was CCTV so she could see what we were doing, no shoes, no sudden movements, no shoes again, did we understand NO SHOES, the ring has sensors, she knows what we will be doing!! (We are a respectful family with a young child, not about to start reenacting wrestlemania!) My daughter and husband took a couple of photos with a belt. It was a really awkward atmosphere with the lady looking on and making us feel chastised and 'under suspicion' before we had even got in the ring. When I went to have a photo with the same belt and my daughter the lady rushed over again. "NO NO NO it's $10 PER PERSON" (this was never communicated, she said $10 for photos in the ring) and then she continued to stress about her being watched on CCTV and she can't be seen to let people not pay so couldnt allow it as people can see what we/she are doing. This was politely challenged by my husband who confirmed there was absolutely no mention of this being $10 per person and she did eventually back track and begrudgingly said go ahead and take a photo - at which point the moment was utterly spoiled and we all left promptly as we had absolutely no desire to spend a minute longer in there and did not want a photo after such an awkward and unpleasant exchange. Sorry but if you are operating on such a paranoid 'big brother' environment of suspicion and treating your customers like common criminals within seconds of them walking through the door because your policy is 'TRUST NO ONE' then you need to discuss your work environment and employment choices!! This woman was unpleasant from the start and had absolutely no customer service values. A real shame having met Hogan on multiple occasions through industry work and as a lifelong wrestling fan. Staff training seriously required.
