Beautifully landscaped grounds with golf course and jogging paths! ...Stopped by to see the hotel for a future booking on a visa points stay. Enjoyed a nice afternoon "walk- jog". I chose the A path at 1.3 miles that meanders by beautiful little lakes and Grand Oaks. There is also a B path that is over 3 miles long. I visited the hotel for lunch but all was closed except the bar and limited menue pool side restaurant. Call ahead if wish to fully dine with table service. This hotel is a nice oasis near Disney and has lots of beautiful pools and lakes as well as resort property for families to unwind. A good value compared to other hotel or resort options. Resort valet and self parking fees are very high ( $30.00 plus) so it might be better to shuttle in if you can do without a car if you plan to stay more than a few nights.Safety: Security guard with gated entrance on premises .

Nearby activities: On the resort you have paddle boats to use on the private lake, bikes for trails, pool, exercise room, basketball (half court), mini golf, regular golf, wall climbing, etc.Food & drinks: There are several restaurants at the resort: Lakehouse, Four Flamingos, On the Rocks (poolside), and the Lobby Bar for a nice drink and a little food.

The Grand Cypress Resort is underrated but so impressive. The expansive, clean pools, adorned with waterfalls, were amazing. They are surrounded by lush greenery creating a rainforest feel. The three restaurants, including one by Richard Blais, offer diverse dinner options. The colossal fitness center, accessible through enchanting grottos, was so unique. Evening fire pits and Disney firework views are available every night. But you must stay here for Merlot, the resident Macaw. He’s the Hyatt Ambassador, who sits in the lobby and eats his nuts. I love him!

The Hyatt Grand Cypress has beautiful outdoor areas including two very large lagoon-style pools and a "beach" area next to a small lake. Great for families. Some rooms have views of the park fireworks at night. It can be crowded on holiday weekends, but otherwise is very nice. I have stayed here twice.Noteworthy details: Valet and on site parking available for a fee.

Very convenient for conventions too. Fantastic location. Well maintained and friendly staff. Been going there 4 years in a row, can’t think I could find any better at similar rates. Great swimming pool too !

Conference stop, but oh so close to Disney. Staff was amazingly friendly, always ready with a smile at all levels from front door to cleaning and food service. It was amazing in contrast to so many places these days.Loved seeing Merlot, the hotel ambassador, a macaw who is perched in the lobby and a special guest at one of my conference receptions.

Everything was wonderful, and everyone was super friendly. We didn't have our kids with us, but this resort made us wish they were there. Absolutely amazing pool/hot tub area and amenities. Restaurants are so pretty, but food was just ok. Pool side cantina was the best. Beds are extremely hard, and I had to buy something just to get sleep. Ended up needing to move suites because of a wasp infestation (stuff happens), but we ended up with less of a view and floor and room with more wear and tear and never a peep from management about our pretty big midweek interruption. Still gave everything 5 star because this was a pretty awesome place with friendly people.

Grand cypress has flat out gotten so expensive. We used to fly several men in for work and were in the top 10 globalists for most spent. They have gotten so expensive in the last yr we dont even go anymore. We used to find rooms for 222$ a night sometimes even lower i remember 156$ a night before now its never under 400$ its a nice place but not that nice. Its not the ritz carlton for god sakes. Cost has lost them probably 180k a yr from us. Its sad really then we asked to joing there corporate rate program and nobody ever has called us back. I've asked the managers five times with no luck and even called the number they gave. Sad to go from top 10 globalist spending well over 100k a yr to zero in the last few yrs due to this massive rate increase that never seems to bounce back. Thats what they use to charge during spring break. Now its the norm low end price. When i sending four guys there for weeks on end totalling 24 weeks per yr per man why would any company throw that out the window or any owner. If i owned that place and found that out i would go bonkers. Thats massive money and customers who held that reputation for over 5 yrs straight. I thought for the heck of it id check because i have work there in a few weeks. I was not to amazed to see it is still 480$ night thats insanity. There times we spent 2800$ per five days per man times five men. I just wont do that anymore is used to be reasonable during so so traffic times. I'll go get a five or six bedroom air b&b thats a fraction of the price with a pool for far less. Its to bad

Noteworthy details: Make sure you pay close attention to the Resort fees & parking fees. They don’t charge for them until later. They also put $75 a day for in incidentals… can get really costly. 1/2/2024 they charge $49 a night for resort fees and $34 a night for self parking. It goes up from there if you valet. And the self park is a decent Clip away from rooms. My flight got delayed and couldn’t check in until 11pm & they wouldn’t waive first nights resort fees. Lol
