I can not recommend Sodo Vet enough! I love how the staff treated my pup with such care and they listened to all my questions and concerns as a new puppy owner.

The staff have a way of making everyone comfortable. My dog loves them all and she doesn't like most people.

Wow, I am so grateful to have found this place because I can't say enough wonderful things about Sodo Veterinary Hospital. I have a 5 year old miniature Australian shepherd (Luna) who loves to play frisbee. Last night after playing, I noticed she started limping on her right front leg. This morning she continued to limp so I called Sodo and they took us in right away which is unheard of on a Saturday at most places. Dave at the front desk is exceptional. He has a way of putting you at ease by his kind and patient demeanor. Krys was also very personable and you can tell how passionate she is about animals. Dr.Ortiz did a thorough range of motion exam and felt confident that there were no fractures or major injuries. He recommended rest and anti-inflammatory medication first before proceeding with any potential unnecessary and costly tests such as x-rays and etc. I work in healthcare and I can't tell you how much I appreciate this step-by-step conservative approach in medicine. This just goes to show you how highly skilled and noble of a doctor Dr. Ortiz is. Sometimes doctors will order every test under the sun because they are either trying to nickle-and-dime you or because they simply don't feel confident in their diagnosis. That's not the case with Dr. Ortiz. He is both confident and humble, a true rarity now days. I should also add that Luna had her teeth cleaning done here several months ago and the whole team did an outstanding job.Trust me when I say your pet is in good hands with Sodo Vet. I can't recommend them enough!

Dr Ortiz at SODO VET is the most amazing Dr for my fur babies. His heart is filled with love for animals and also for the family. He helped us get thru a hardship and truly showed compassion in his heart. We will always be a SODO VET family! ?

They over vaccinated my 12 week old puppy gave him 2 sets of shots I told them he already got from the breeder. They went against my wishes & vaccinated him again & again. I called the other day to express concern that my pup has had diarrhea since the last visit, & they never returned my callEDIT: called again today & they gaslit me saying the excess vaccines wouldn’t be causing the diarrhea yet, we all know how puppy’s are after one dose (diarrhea lethargy) Now I have to spend 200$ on detox supplements for my boy to hopefully detox him. He’s been acting different since his last visit & they refuse to take accountability. Avoid this place at all cost. They are money hungry to the core & do not have the patients best interest at heart. I regret coming to this place. Now I can only hope they didn’t cause any damage neurological etc to my young puppy. They will also offer you toxic flea & heartworm prevention that is known to kill pets. UPDATE: the supplements worked wonders he no longer has diarrhea or inconsistent stools. if you’d like to detox your pet from the poison these abusers push out visit LOUISE’S PET CONNECTION IN LAKE MARY. Holistic & all natural remedies. They also have a recommended vet.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My vet I usually go to is not participating in day boarding. My husband and I need to work so we found this vet. My dog has hookworms, he’s only 3 months old, and has no rabies shot due to being sick and needing healing time. I called and spoke with Victor (Client Service Specialist) he said it’s okay that our dog goes to their boarding. Once Victor said they will accept my dog for day boarding and keep him isolated, we scheduled an appointment (it is a requirement prior to day boarding). At the appointment we met with Dr. Juan Patino on Friday. We told him our situation with our dog and showed him all of the previous vet exam results and he insisted on taking a fecal exam and waiting until Monday to receive fecal results as well as medication for my puppy (although we’ve already told him that we noticed blood in my puppy’s stool.) We were already required to pay $72 for the exam and then the additional $48.99 for the fecal exam. Monday morning I go to drop off my puppy and when I get there, the receptionist stated that my dog needed a rabies shot prior to boarding and that they will keep him “for now” until the vet comes and they will let us know if our puppy can stay. The rabies shot requirement was not mentioned on the phone nor at the exam on Friday. I left my dog due to having to go to work and I receive a call 2 hour later saying that they can’t keep my dog because he doesn’t have a rabies shot. I let them know that my husband nor I are able to pick up my dog so the vet said they’d keep my dog for the day but moving forward they were unable to keep my dog without the rabies shot. I also want to mention that THEY DID NOT FEED MY PUPPY LUNCH while he was there, I’m assuming out of spite. Also, my dog was also covered in his feces when I picked him up. Safe to say we will not be returning to this vet. They are greedy, money hungry, unprofessional, and this staff lacks communication not only within their office but with their clients as well. If you can save yourself the money, save your pet from torture, and find a vet that actually cares for them! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.*update* I asked them for my dog’s fecal results and the REFUSED to give them to me and stated that they’ll only email the results to my dog’s vet.

The staff here is amazing. After seeing several vets after moving to the area and always feeling defeated and like every other vet did not take any of my concerns seriously, i found sodo hospital. They are so sweet with my senior girl and take their time with her at every visit. which is always so reassuring. This staff truly loves animals, and it shows. Visits can be pricey, but it is worth it to know my girl is in good hands. Thank you, sodo vets!

I stood at the entrance counter for awhile until two people came from the back...there was no one at the front desk when i walked in. It looked like a nurse and a doctor. The nurse ignored me and got on the phone...the doctor asked me what I was there for then asked me to sit down without asking for our information. We are new here and have been here twice now...I am not sure there will be a 3rd time. Doesn't feel welcoming and we've been charged quite a bit of money for the two visits so far. The doctor we saw the first time was nice, but the staff/nurses treat you like you are bothering them.

Went there for emergency at 4pm without appointment cause my new puppy won’t stop throwing up and was not eating.I was panicking and was very happy that Dr. Ortiz took my pup and run test immediately after getting rejected at our regular vet.Her test came back all good so she got anti-nausea shot and appetite booster. She was all better the next day and turned out her stomach was upset because I gave her pepto (for throwing up bile in the morning - breeder instruction).Really happy with the staffs and the Dr!The bill is pretty steep but it’s worth it. And thank God I have insurance, the insurance cover a little since I just enroll 5 days prior.

My dog was at the end and I knew it. Holiday weekend I called SODO right at 8am. David was so nice and accommodating he got us right in. It was hard for me but the vet and staff were so understanding and empathic it soften the blow. My dog has been going there for over a year and i am always satisfied with her care. I feel they really care and would highly recommend SODO. RIP Baby

Lovely clinic with skilled and attentive staff. They took great care of our two fur babies. I'm a difficult client because I ask a lot of questions, and they gracefully answered all of them. Thank you!!

This was Keeblers second trip to see the vet. This time for a bad belly. I’m horrible with names but the nurse today was so patient and understanding I can’t thank her enough for that considering I was feeling overwhelmed and worried etc. it goes such a long way when the nurses and doctors are patient, caring and really pay attention to what you are saying without rushing you away. Todays visit was a lot to deal with but the kindness and patience from everyone in the office especially the nurse and vet truly means a lot. Keebs is resting and I know will be better in no time.Thank you everyone!

SoDo is by far the best vet I have ever taken my pet(s) to. From the standard annual vaccines to unexpected/ emergency visits - they handle it all with grace and professionalism. Dr Patino takes his time and explains all procedures and diagnoses in great detail. The staff is happy and accommodating; Fernando always goes above and beyond and makes you feel understood when it comes to your pets needs. Thank You SoDo Vet Team for your amazing hospitality!
