Bill and the whole team are EXCELLENT! They really know their cars, and do phenomenal work. Did a bunch of work on my 69 Chevelle Malibu and couldn’t be happier!

**Don't waste your time**
My visit to Old Time Auto was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any service. Despite being highly recommended by friends, I found out it’s now under new ownership. The current owner, Bill, is incredibly disrespectful and immature.
I paid $3,000 (plus parts) for a full lowering kit installation and rear brake work. Despite their claim of $135 per hour for "great work," they incorrectly installed my tie rod, leaving my truck unable to turn and operate correctly. (An issue that could of been easy to fix or at least take ownership that it was done incorrectly, things happen) After buying new tires and bringing the truck back twice, they insisted nothing was wrong.
Frustrated, I took my truck to another shop, where they diagnosed and fixed the problem for $225 ($75 per hour). When I returned to Old Time Auto for a realignment, Bill rudely confronted me, using profanities and making a scene, claiming he was doing the realignment as a courtesy (like I owed him something) refusing to credit me for the $225 I spent to fix their mistake.
The only silver lining was Joe, a young man who has been incredibly helpful since day one. His professionalism prevented the situation from escalating further. Bill could learn a lot from Joe’s exemplary customer service. Bill, sit down and take some notes. Thanks to Joe,I was eventually paid back.
Honestly, Joe should open his own shop—he’d make millions with his outstanding service. Avoid Old Time Auto at all costs! Don't even look their way.

I have a 1930 Ford Highboy. I have been looking for a hotrod shop that treats my car like it is their own and I found it with L & J. What a great experience. They were honest and replaced what was needed and did not try and upsell. I will never take my hotrods anywhere else.Service: Engine repair

The owner, Lee, is a down to earth guy who is up front and honest about being able to fix your car's problem. I took my 1938 Plymouth coupe to his shop with distributor trouble and Lee and his guys were able to track down the problem and fix what others were unable to do. HIs rates were reasonable and he took the time to explain what he found and what it took to fix it. He also works on new stuff as well. I highly recommend Lee and his staff. Where do I begin…I checked out all the reviews on here and they were 100% on point. I wanted a shop that cared as much about my car as our family has (bought off the showroom in ‘93).Lee was all that and then some! Personable, knowledgeable and genuine. Took her in for an engine tune expecting the worst and turns out she is “clean” (as Lee said). Just needed some plug/distributor and fuel filter work…all done while we were out of town for a few days.Gonna schedule a preventative engine lift/reseal next month (much needed after 30 years) and I honestly can’t wait. Peggy is running better than ever. Maybe my 7 year will get her in another 30 years…haha. Thanks Lee!Service: Auto engine tuning

These are the right people to work on your classic. Their approach is simple and effective and they won’t waste your time feeding you BS you don’t need.I installed a 383 stroker/700R4 in my truck and they had a dialed in and no time. Taking it back soon for a brake upgrade.

Called to speak to Lee , asked if it was a good time to talk was told yes. In the meantime he was talking with someone else into the phone while speaking with me at the same time. Asked several questions and was told he couldn't answer some of my questions without seeing what I have. I then asked if he was available this Friday to view the vehicle to which he hung up on me. Outgoing message says "God Bless" I called back and of course it went to his VM which I left a message asking what I said to offend him enough to hang up on me. Yeah real professional.

Lee and his team were absolutely amazing. I had them work on my 1964 Thunderbird. Lee made the process easy and kept me informed with updates on the progress. I will definitely be using this business for all of my future classic vehicles.Services: Brakes

I chose to go there because the good reviews, and proudly tryin to explain what I accomplished even not being a professional, but unfortunately he didn't had enough interest and patience to let me explain what I need of a professional to find the problem and fix.Sorry but I can't recommend a place that I won't trust.

I must say Lee and his whole team of mechanics are amazing. They do what they say they are going to do. They are an honest group of guys turning wrenches because they love to. You can see that every time you walk into the shop or talk to them on the phone. I brought my ‘69 Chevy C10 pickup in for a complete engine replacement. They installed a Jasper 350 in the truck and it runs amazing. I had a few other concerns and they handled everything perfectly and timely without trying to sell me something I didn’t need. I absolutely love this truck and it won’t be visiting any other shop. L&J Street Rods is the Real Deal. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.
