I went looking for furniture with my husband. We are planning a big move and are considering replacing all our furniture. We were greeted by a nice gentleman. He asked what we were in for, I answered that we were just looking. He may as well have become my husband’s shadow. He wouldn’t leave us alone. He always had something to say about any piece of furniture we commented on, look at or sat on. Would follow us around the store making me feel very uncomfortable, it’s not like we could shoplift a chair or couch!! He only ever addressed my husband. We will NEVER return to this store. We had a much better shopping experience at the Ashley furniture store in Davenport where the sales person introduced himself, explained the layout of the store and left us to our own devices. So unless you want a sales person on your heels at all times harassing you I suggest finding a different store

Had a fantastic experience with Ben and Dan at this location. I am a repeat Lazy boy customer and these guys were great. They helped us match up everything based on pictures of our room. That was very helpful. They also honored a coupon from a Lazy boy store in another state (they didn't have too). We will be back.

This is my story about 3 guys for a very simple sale:Tim Butler, Max and Ben, all 3 sales people at SOBT showroomMy name is Constance Linhares, active salesperson for 45 years full-time. I needed new furniture...comfortable but within a specific width, heighth and depth. I searched online several months. Now I know there is no way I could buy online without viewing in person, touching and physically sitting or stretching out with my huge dog at my feet.Let me state that I believe in loyalty. I need it; I give it. After going many places...I came back to Tim Butler at SOBT. He has a sales sense with integrity and kindness and understanding without pressure. I met Max...what a good guy with the soft backing of the salespeople helping me. He gave information about the pet-friendly solution for the fabric I chose. He was very mellow and non-interfering. He was not overwhelming; but made me comfortable like Tim Butler. Character, kindness and knowledge of the product sold me.However I was on my way to SOBT showroom to make a deal; but Tim was not there. I wanted to turn around; but called and got Ben. Ben is a closer. One of the best closers I have met as it sneaked up on me and got me! He was calm; no other customers there. Max was helping in background. Ben knows how to close. I went away signing up for more than I expected. I went for a sofa; ended up with an additional chair and ottoman. Ben is not overbearing; but I wanted the deal to be credited to Tim Butler. I have learned that this type of selling is more like teamwork than in real estate with which I have sold since 1978. In real estate it usually feels like the old saying" dog-eat-dog" world. With the Lazy Boy team (even the experience with the East Colonial office), there is teamwork, friendship, uplifting of others. They support each other. The small fee they might make had nothing to do with their trying to help me in my mission. Their goal was to satisfy my needs. THEY ACCOMPLISHED THEIR GOAL AS A TEAM! I AM NOT YELLING; BUT EMPHASIZING MY GRATEFULNESS. I NEED MORE FURNITURE. I WILL BE BACK.Oh, yes. I must give a thanks to Darius ("D") and Brock. These two men came to my home to deliver my furniture on time!!! I was ready. I interacted with them; and they responded with smiles and kindness. I felt like I wanted them to stay for dinner; but this was their last job of the day. I want you to know I trusted them immediately. They were onspot with their job. It is more than delivery. It is making sure the furniture is what I expected; right color; right size; soft protectors for the bottom of legs of furniture to insure my hardwood floors were not scratched. I wish they were my close friends; but instead I was touched by their gracious personalities to place in my home furniture for which I was anxiously awaiting. I want thjem to know that I really likethem; but I am sure they know I felt they did me right.Thank you, Tim, Ben, Max, Darius, and Brock with Lazy-Boy.Sincerely, Constance Linhares From me to you. We spent the last few months looking around both in stores and online for a quality nursing chair. After coming up empty-handed, we decided to just look for a quality recliner that would fit our needs. Went to a rooms 2 go and sat in a few lazy boys, but the selection was very limited. So the next day, we headed in the actual Lazy Boy showroom to take a look. We were greeted by Gabriela (Gabby), she asked us what we were looking for and started showing us options. Normally, I just want to be left alone and not have my hand held, but Gabby was great! She showed us the different options in regards to features and price. There was no "pressure" to buy a more expensive chair. She explained different protection plans, warranty, and delivery options. Total time was about 30-45 min, and we left with an amazing chair that fits our needs. 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a nice recliner, go and talk to Gabby. And Gabby, if you ever see this, thank you again for all your help.

Tim is unbelievable and is such an asset to the company. He made me and my wife feel comfortable from day 1. Even when I didn't buy anything and I returned months later. He still remembered me and my wife and gave us an excellent experience to remember. The entire staff at this location is amazing.I will be doing business with this location and with Tim many times throughout the years as me and my family continue to grow.

My wife and I came into the store just to look for one chair. Salesman Tim took the time to listen to us and showed us other pieces that might address our needs. As our conversation evolved, he suggested the use of their interior designer, Clint. Clint came to our home and was very patient in listening to us while also incorporating the notes that Tim had taken during our discussion. He came up with outstanding ideas and helped understand what was best to meet our wishes. We ended up buying five pieces of furniture, two bookcases and two rugs and couldn’t be happier with the process or treatment by Tim and Clint.

We walked in to see if we could find a chair to match a chair that we love and purchased at the same location. We ended up purchasing a sofa and love seat on sale. What a deal and we are excited about are new sofa and love seat.

Daniel took great care of my wife & I, with Robert's support as well. Daniel paid great attention to what we were trying to accomplish with our room and configuration restrictions, sat and took the time to lay out a number of options and ideas to what fit our need and available budget, then put together a great package that met both needs. We have been using Laz-y-boy products for many years and it's great, quality product. But, it's high level customer and sales service representatives like Daniel and Robert that bring us back into the stores.

Greeted warmly by Tim who was both professional and engaging. His knowledge of the product (sleeper sofa) we were looking for was extensive and he presented us the many options available. With his help we made our selection and eagerly await delivery.

Furniture is great...the service is APPALLING! After waiting 6 months for our furniture with no communication unless we called them even after getting a thank you note asking how we were enjoying our furniture came BEFORE waiting another 3 months for the furniture. Only for them to blame the salesperson who no longer worked there for the note. $8000 sale. We simply asked some compensation on the delivery fee for our longer than normal receiving of the furniture, to which Danny treated and talked to us like a used car salesman. And of course talking over us every opportunity he could so when I became upset, he told me I was "agressive" and would no longer discuss. Manager just as bad when said he would look into this and get back to me with a decision on any compensation. Which I am still waiting. My advice, if you only buy stock from the floor, this may be your place to go. But not if you spend good money for the roomful.
