I started working towards the idea of purchasing a home in August 2024 but was having difficulty with the down payment and the final cost. My sister recommended that I look into the NACA program as a first time buyer and since I had previous paperwork I had no difficulty completing the necessary task. I started the NACA program in April 2025. Although the process can take a lot of time even with these tasks completed there are a number of resources and benefits with NACA. I just hope it's enough to finally have my own home.

I went into the NACA program because I was having difficulty meeting the down payment requirements. I first started with the idea of getting my own home August 2024 but as time progressed and I spoke with a lender and realtor it seemed less realistic the idea of moving out even though I have been putting money into my savings. So, I looked for programs that could help me as a first-time home buyer and was recommended to look into NACA by a family member. So far, NACA has provided me with many resources and information. Even though I fulfilled the first 10 steps within two weeks, it took a while to make an appointment with a counselor. Even though NACA does provide good opportunities, it can take a lot of time before finally getting to the appointment. I really hope this will be the year I finally have my own home.

Found out about a homebuyer workshop in my area, attended the workshop and left with so much knowledge regarding this program. I am happy to say my intake meeting with my NACA counselor went way better than expected.

I have been working with NACA (Specifically the Orlando Office) for the past couple of months. Coming in, the home ownership process seemed extremely overwhelming but my counselor broke everything down step by step to help alleviate the complexity of the home buying process. I can't say thank you enough

I found out about NACA through a realtor friend of mine and was skeptical at first because it sounded too good to be true. We decided to start the process and trust our friend and it has been beyond amazing so far. Our counselor has answered all of our questions and explained everything to the best of his ability and not once have I felt in over my head. Highly suggest ESPECIALLY for first time home buyers!

March 13, 2024Today I had a very productive experience with a realtor from NACA. Gladene Washington walked me through the paper work that is needed online to purchase a home with NACA assistance. She went over my file as well as what the next steps in the process are. I should be in my new home shortly and I feel blessed and appreciative. Thank you God, thank you Gladene and thank you NACA.

I'm so excited to be apart of the program and we finally got an appointment to speak with one of the many young professionals. They have been in touch with us every step of the way so far.

On Feb 15th I had my first interview with my NACA counselor, Augustine Mathias. I was very clear with what I needed to happen and by when. Of course, how fast do you get through this program really depends on oneself. It is now March 11th and all of my documents are ready to be submitted for review and approval. Realistically, I can start shopping for a home by March 15th. INSANE! This has been such a great experience so far, and I have such an incredible counselor that is working with me. I told him that I was about my business and he demonstrated to me that he was about his business. I'm excited for what's to come.

NACA has been efficient in assisting with the home buyer process. The assigned Mortgage Counselor has been diligent in ensuring all action items are completed and submitted in a timely manner. There is clear communication and the portal allows for easy access to upload all documents. As long as you are consistent with timelines, this process can be effective. The value added are the great benefits of NO down payment, closing costs or PMI.

I am pleased to have to opportunity to purchase as home. I’m ecstatic to be on this with the support of NACA. The step by step plan, guidance and follow up has relieved un surmountable stress and anxiety . Ms. Washington has been a delight to work with. I look forward to continuing the community work of making homeownership possible for people who would otherwise miss out on the American Dream.

So far I have had a great experience with the the program. My counselor was great during my counseling session. I learned so much during that session about the home purchasing process in general. I would recommend anyone to look into this program.
