I just read the September 5th article by Scott Maxwell about Jimmy Buffett and Florida schools. What he said about Jimmy Buffett is memorable to the Nth degree. I also agree with what he said about slavery! It's political insanity! Florida schools need to focus on the facts about slavery, not on those so-called myths! Scott Maxwell is a very impressive Orlando Sentinel columnist! I have read his articles for more than 20 years now! Ciao, John S., retired Professor of Fine Arts and Humanities at Valencia College's West Campus for 32 years!

I have been a customer for 25+ years and finally had to cancel, the delivery person never gets the paper here anywhere near on time and often doesn't throw it at all. I have been complaining for months and just receive lip service saying how sorry they are and will correct the problem, nothing ever happens, they let him/her do as they please with no regard what so ever for their customers.I am done

I can't believe the poor service that this paper has. They immediately take your money, but take their sweet time getting you a physical paper. I've called several times only to be lied to about when my paper is coming. Not surprised that everyone is giving them 1 star and even that is too much. Will never consider using them again.

Since June 2023 I have tried to have a 7 day subscription. The Sentinel was quick to charge my credit card for the promotional rate of $95, but now over 6 weeks and I had not gotten the paper. After calling customer service which is in the Philippines, 5 times with a promise to find out and let me know why. Only after I got my CC company involved did someone call me back. They then explained that they do not deliver to my address in Sanford. 6 weeks to find that out?? Thanks to my CC company, they have credited the amount charged. I recommend staying away from the Orlando Sentinel until they get rid of Philippines customer service. If I were an advertiser paying the Sentinel to promote my product I would find another means to advertise.

Always read the fine print. The $17.76 offer seemed too good to be true. Your agreement is subject to: All subscriptions may include up to 14 premium issues at 9.99/ issue. That potentially hits you up for a possible addition $139.00 dollars. Full disclosure or crafty way to tag your wallet.

My father-in-law pays over $1,000 a year to get his paper delivered. At least every 10 days a paper is undelivered, or two papers are delivered the next day... that day's and the one that should have been delivered yesterday. Today he got yesterday's Sunday paper along with today's. If I spent over one thousand dollars in your business year over year, how might you treat me as a customer? I would hope you would take your responsibilities more seriously. I don't read the Sentinel because it's OPED's are a touch too conservative, but even if they weren't I'm not stupid enough to throw money at a contractor who can't deliver the product.

Delivery sucks! I only get the paper on Thursdays and Sundays. At least that's the way it supposed to work. I haven't gotten the paper delivered successfully on either of those days since the first of the year I called to complain, and they offer me redelivery or credit. at least that's the way it's supposed to work. I haven't gotten a paper delivered successfully on either of those days since the first of the year. I call to complain, and they offer me redelivery or credit. redelivery is never successful. It's frustrating and cumbersome. I see a lot of complaints. They need to figure this out.

The newspaper has not been delivered for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. Also, last Sunday's paper did not show up until late afternoon.

Sad to see our local paper's subscription service so poorly run. They keep telling me I am getting charged every eight weeks but continue to charge every four, which means I'm paying twice as much. They say they'll credit my account, but continue to charge my credit card every month, despite my calls. When I called to cancel, they said my subscription will expire in two weeks. Where did all my credit go? Goodbye, OS. Guess Orlando will be without a local paper soon.

Goodbye Orlando Sentinel. You are terminated! The Orlando Sentinel customer service and delivery are a disaster. The service has been regressing for years and now it is gone. Don't waste your time, money and energy looking for a paper delivery every morning because you will be disappointed. The delivery people, call center and supervisors do not care if you receive your paper and will tell you to just read the digital version. The only option is the digital version, however it is just not the same and is awkward to try and read online. Best wishes to all the reporters, journalists and photographers who have done an excellent job.

Can't reach a real person -- tried calling multiple times during "open business hours". Grossly overcharged, as well!
