VAMC Lake Nona in Florida is regarded as a facility that provides generally good care, with a dedicated staff that often goes above and beyond for patients. Visitors have expressed appreciation for the excellent pharmacy staff and the cleanliness of the hospital. Many have had positive experiences, including those who have undergone significant medical procedures, like liver transplants. However, there are some concerns regarding navigation within the hospital and the efficiency of certain departments. Some patients have reported difficulties with long waits and issues with check-in processes, particularly in the radiology department. Additionally, challenges with access, such as the lack of wheelchairs for patients needing assistance, have been highlighted. Despite these issues, many patients commend the staff in the emergency room and express gratitude for the respectful and professional manner in which they were treated. Overall, VAMC Lake Nona is recognized for its quality medical care, though there are areas identified for improvement in patient experience and operational efficiency.
I've been here several times and have received pretty good care.I wish more military people worked there. Some of the staff treats you like they're doing you a favor. The pharmacy staff is excellent.
