Ongoing issue. Dropped car off yesterday. Got a list of parts they needed.... YESTERDAY which included a thermostat.....today they said the work was in progress ....... I didn't get a call until just now telling me they discovered TODAY and needed to order a part....they are liars and holding my car hostage

Team needs work on diagnosing issues. They are very polite but not knowledgeable. They don’t have the experience to proactively find the fix for simple problems.
My tire was leaking air so I brought it in. They told me they didn’t find a nail in the tire and it doesn’t leak. I told them that it does leak and asked did they check the valve stem or the rim. They said no and didn’t offer to do the test.
So i took my car to another company and it was the valve stem.

terrible service. every time i come to a pep boys ironically I now have a new problem to fix. makes me want to stop business with this company altogether.. BOTH times at this location specifically the same problem was caused by their mechanics

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service and the handling of the battery replacement for my vehicle, carried out on January 16, 2025.
I was initially informed that the procedure would be simple and quick. However, after the battery replacement on January 16, the Start/Stop system light turned on in my car’s dashboard, which had not happened before the service.
I returned to the workshop on February 2, 2025, around 1:00 PM, and waited until 3:00 PM when I was informed that the battery for the Start/Stop system would also need to be replaced. However, no clear estimate or quote was provided at that time.
I was then instructed to return later, with the promise that the service would be completed between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. However, I did not receive any update during the day, which resulted in an unnecessary wait. When I returned to the workshop around 6:00 PM, I was told that the service would not be performed because the required battery was unavailable. Up to that point, I had not received any clear explanation regarding the situation, nor was I informed about costs or timelines.
The lack of communication, coupled with excessive delays and the absence of clarity regarding the service and the quote, led to a significant waste of my time and caused me to lose trust in the quality of the service provided by the workshop. As a result, I have decided not to use your company’s services again, nor will I recommend the establishment to other customers.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION!!! Believe the 1-star reviews, because they are real.
This service is awful. The representative was rude and he ignored me. He looked at me and did not acknowledge that I was there at all. I stood in line for about 10 minutes, with no one else the counter before he waited on me. I took my car to this location at 1030 am, for an inspection and oil change. When he finally called me to the counter, I told him what services I needed for my car. I asked him how long would it take for them to service the car. He told me 1.5 hour. So I agreed and asked can I get a Uber to go home. He said yes, and they would call me when the car is ready. I left my car at 10:30 am, I never received a call, so after 3-hours I called the store and the same person answered the phone and said my car was not done yet, the mechanic was finishing up another car and I would be next. At 4:30 p.m. I still had not received a call from the store to tell me about my car. I called the store and the same representative picked up again this time he placed me on hold for 30-minutes, before he came back to the phone. When he got back on the phone, I asked about my car and he said the car was not done. I told him not to service the car I’ll come and pick up my car. This was a waste of my time. The car never got serviced. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION! This place is awful.

I visited the store on a Monday January 13th at noon for an oil change. The first thing I asked was about the estimated time for service, as I didn’t have an appointment, and the guy said that my car was the next one to go so around 1 to 1.5 hours. I went home and received a text with a link to see the progression of the service, however this link did not work, so I waited. Three hours later I still hadn’t received any notification so I called to check on my car. The person who answered put me in hold for 5 minutes just to tell me that my car was going to be ready in 2 hours, then they realized how many other cars they had and asked if I needed my car for the same day… I immediately cancelled the service and picked up my car. At the store, I didn’t receive any apologies and no one seemed concerned at the terrible customer service received. I understand that sometimes there are issues or not enough workers, I totally understand that, BUT they asked for my phone number for a reason. I don’t mind waiting for a service as long as I’m informed about what’s going on. Just inform your clients instead of making them waste their time.

Don’t take your vehicle here. Made the mistake twice. Scheduled oil change and tire rotation. Took all day to complete. Scheduled tire install. Once again took all day to complete. This is just the way they do business and think nothing of it.

I waited over four hours to be served, even though I had an appointment scheduled. When I arrived, it took them more than two hours just to get my car on the lift. In total, I ended up waiting four hours. After the alignment was done, my car is still pulling to the right, meaning it’s not properly aligned.

Terrible service.. I had come in because pirelli tires sent me to this location as an authorized partner. My car got a bubble on the side wall and Pirelli offers a courtesy discount but the location has to call and work with them. It takes less than 2 min. Pirelli immediately picks up the one with option 2 and does not require any inconvenience. Discount Tire didn’t blink an eye with this request and as I said above it took the service advisor a couple min hung up the phone told me how much I get off the tires.. The gentleman at this location also mentioned he had spoke to me yesterday in a condescending way because it has nothing to do with the moment but thank you for pointing that out as if I’m stupid. He went on to say he has never done this before and to go to another location. If this is the level of problem that causes your associates to give up the owner should really question how much money they are letting walk out the door.
