I signed up for monthly pool service a few months ago. The service was $125 for weekly service. The first month, no one showed up the first 3 weeks, but I wasn’t charged so I didn’t think much of it. The next 2 months someone showed up a few times a month but never weekly. However, wasn’t charged for these months either so again, I thought nothing of but I started to grow suspicious and then I received 4 different charges of 4 different amounts- everything over $125. And by this time the pool services have stopped; our pool was green because it had not been cleaned for 4-5 weeks. We called the shop multiple times a day until we finally got someone on the phone. They claimed they’ve been busy and had an emergency for the reason they didn’t answer the phone. However, someone showed up that week told us our pool was green because I wear makeup, told us we needed a new filter and took zero accountability for the pool being green. 2 weeks later the owner comes to our house- replaces the filter, told us we would be reimbursed for the previous month and asked us to stay with company and they were going fix things moving forward. Well, again people stopped showing up to clean the pool, we were never reimbursed so we reached out again. The owner said he felt bad so he wasn’t going to charge us for the month and he was going to work on the refund he promised.It’s now a week before Christmas, I have been charged $423. I still haven’t received the $125 reimbursement. I reach out to the owner and I have been told the company was sold and the new owners are stealing money and to dispute the charge with my bank.If you are considering a pool company- do yourself a favor and stay away from this pinch a penny location. I have gone to other locations and they said they heard about bad business taking place here so it’s no secret.

If I can put zero stars I would. This place is the worse. The previous owner took my money and provided poor service. Then they stopped showing up after I paid them. Now he sold it to someone else and they also suck. They want me to cut down my tree so that they can tend to my pool. Stay away from this place. You’ve been warn.

In June 2023 I made the mistake of walking into this store. I went in for a water analysis and after speaking with them they seemed very nice and willing to help me with the replacement of my pool pump and filter. Later I was called by one of the employees to give my credit card so they could purchase the equipment needed for the pump and filter. They also automatically charged 3.5 labor hours. After 4 phone calls and 3 texts requesting a copy of my receipt be sent to me, the finally emailed it to me 8 days later.There are many details I will leave out in an effort to make a long story short, but I will not be surprised if when they respond to this review (though I DON’T expect they will respond), they will say all sorts of untruths.The installation was rescheduled numerous times (more than 4x) because of no shows on their part. I received all types of different excuses from Raj (the owner and installer) and conflicting stories between him and employees. Raj was extremely unprofessional and his approach even childish at one point. He even texted me at 1:00AM with language consistent of a ”scolded child”. After 2 weeks of this I requested a refund. I called many times, but no one answered. I went by the store one Saturday morning only to find it closed with no sign or reason. I returned another day, and Raj claimed they had a new POS system, and he didn’t know how to use it to refund me. He actually handed it to me and told me to figure it out!! After a half hour of this back and forth with his “new POV” system, he gave me a check for the refund. The bank would not cash this check as they were no longer with that bank.I called Pinch a Penny corporate office in Clearwater and left seven messages for supervisor (Tommy) . He did not have the courtesy to respond either. TO THIS DAY RAJ HAS NOT REFUNDED MY $2,707.83 PAID for equipment and labor hours never received or effected. In my experience with him he is a liar and a thief. Anyone supporting this business should go in knowing there is nothing truthful to be expected from them.After help from another pool company, I came to find out charging the customer for the equipment and labor hours up front is not standard.Words cannot express what an awful experience this was with Raj Kanhai. After reporting him to the Better Business Bureau and 2 other agencies, I leave this in our higher power’s hands.

Horribly run business, beware. They charged my credit card three times for pool service that was never provided. They even changed their merchant name and charged a fraudulent different amount to my credit card. Good luck getting them to answer their business phone number. The owners Son who is running it into the ground literally told me to file a chargeback on my credit card for the charges since he didn't feel like following through with a refund. If you want your pool neglected and empty promises/commitments this is the place. I will be steering clear.

This company was great the first year I used them. The last four months, all of summer, they have been horrific. They wont always come once a week like promised. They will spend 10min at ur pool max. They do not properly treat the pool when they do show up. The front desk person is impossible to reach. They will tell you for days and days that they will come out tomorrow and never show. I will be switching pool services. I attached pictures so everyone can see how they left my pool for months.

It’s official, we need to break up! I’ve called hundreds of times, I’ve left messages when the service actually LET me leave one, and I’ve knocked on your actual door. Since I can’t get a hold of you, this is all I have. CANCEL MY SERVICE! I’ve found someone else, someone better, someone who actually picks up their phone.I really like Raj & his dad as people but as business owners they’re horrible. Here’s all the things:I started using them in January 2023 since the store is around the corner from my house and when I went in to the store to inquire, they were so nice and helpful. And service at the beginning was fine…for a few weeks.They wouldn’t show up every week…for the first 2 months it was more like every other week. I was told that they were having trouble with their workers. I understand having trouble keeping employees in this market, but I have only had the same pool person twice in the 7 months I’ve used them! And at some point that is just an excuse.They almost let my pool get green once before but we caught it in time after they didn’t show up for 3 weeks. But this last time, as you can see from the photos here, they totally lost it. The first picture is from a week ago and I had already been trying to get ahold of them for 2 weeks and no one ever picks up the phone! I seriously have SO many calls on record to this place. So last week when that color started, I tried going in person multiple times and they’re always closed when the store hours posted say they should be open.I even went one day and there was a handwritten sign saying they’d be back at noon…it was 1:30pm! I’ve called hundreds of times, I’ve left messages when the service actually LET me leave one, and I’ve knocked on your actual door. Since I can’t get a hold of you, this is all I have. Again, CANCEL MY SERVICE!!!

Love the new owner/management. Best chlorine I've purchased in over 15 years. Always fresh and strong. A 2.5g jug filled for about $8.50 can"t be beat. Pool is crystal clear.

The story goes like this:1) First time the person comes I find them in my back yard, no knocking, no calling prior to. They are rude and make a mess, leave my skimmer by the side of the pool not where I keep it.2) Second week, they never show up. I call to cancel service and no one picks up the phone.3) I drive to the place and no one is at the store. I go home. I come back the next day at hour of opening, no one is at the store again.4) I get somebody's phone number from the door of the place and the guy on the phone texts me apologetically, says he won't charge me anything at all. I say okay, mistakes happen.5) Today I get a charge for $125 for NO SERVICES RENDERED.I am sick of having to deal with you. Get your act together, refund me my $125, and delete my information from my system!

The website never updates it says they are open on Sunday 9 to 5 so I drove 45 minutes just to get here and see they are closed, very unprofessional company would not recommend

I hired these guys to service my pool 4 times a month. They never showed up. I called for service up date and got hung up on. They came a total of 2 times in 3 months.I do not recommend this location for pool service.

After being a part of their company for a few months I realized that this family is nothing but cheats,liars and thieves! They talk a good game but actions speak louder than words ever could! Take my advice from experience dealing with this family, do not waste your time or money on such evil souls!!! I wouldn't have given even one star but I can't leave a review without it!

I want to shout out to an OWNER who works at his store and drives amazing customer service to his customers. RAJ went OUT of his way to help service the property I had listed that had a nasty algae bloom. He communicated with me throughout the process and really proved to me what legendary customer service looks like.Thank you so much RAJ. I will be calling you for any and all pool issues for my future listings!

Return a pool filter cartridge that didn't fit in my pool filter the center to small. I was told by Cellin the only worker in the store that he didn't know how to refund my credit card but when the owner gets back he will do it. That was October 20, 2022. After several phone calls Each one of them telling me the same thing when the owner gets in he'll contact me, oh he must have gotten busy if he haven't refund you yet. Well yesterday I got lucky the owner pick up the phone and said " I gave you your refund on October 20" I said it doesn't show on my bank account, the owner said our text you the confirmation so you can get with your bank and I'll call you back. No call no text no refund. Called back 1hr later again told by Cellin he not there and they would call me back. STILL NO CALL AND NO REFUND. Consumer protection Attorney General, FDACS and FCC is next!
