Renter Beware! Deceptive Rate practices.
I had a rate on a single 5x10 unit at $126.63/ month. When I opened a second unit, that unit rate was set at $176.85. The same unit type. I was also promised a second month free which I did not receive.
Then they immediately bumped the original unit to $153.28.
Calls to the location manager directed me to call customer service who directed me back to the location manager who directed to a district manager. She was on vacation and I was instead routed to a backup district manager.
They definitely cheated me once my stuff was there.
A neighboring competitor offered me two units at a lower price than this place. But now that means me having to relocate two full units in 95 degree heat.
Do not rent here. They are dishonest on setup and you find out how bad they are once you’ve moved in.
Apparently this happens a lot because the location manager Jose said he has no power to fix anything when directing to the DM. But he reminded me I’m month to month, so he advised just moving out to the other location to fix the situation.
Unreal. I need two more units in LA and New York for my business and will avoid Public Storage going further due to the apathy an inability of anyone at any level to address. All companies can have hiccups, but this is really bad when no one is empowered to fix. Ps the customer service line is terrible.

We have been long time customers of this storage space and don’t have any plans of changing!! Jose is always there to help us and is so accommodating. He has the best customer service in town and the reason we stay where we are.
