For over a week, we were told that my husband’s prescription for self-administered testosterone was not in stock and were advised to call other pharmacies. We followed instructions, waited patiently, and trusted this location to follow through.
Then, after all that, we were suddenly told the pharmacy “does not feel comfortable filling it.”
We understand that testosterone is a controlled substance and that pharmacists have a responsibility to use good judgment. But this situation was handled with poor communication and what felt like bias. It felt discriminatory not only toward us, but also toward our physician, who was never contacted directly by the pharmacy. No one reached out to him to share concerns or request clarification. Instead, we were told to find another pharmacy near his office, as if that would solve the problem they were unwilling to explain.
This Publix serves our entire family. We have trusted this location for prescriptions and groceries because it’s just eight minutes from our home. My husband serves this country. He was preparing to return to base and needed this medication beforehand. To be delayed for over a week and then dismissed at the last minute without clarity, communication, or professionalism was completely unacceptable.

Worst pharmacy and pharmacist I have ever experienced. They treat you like a drug addict and question all your medications. I have missed multiple doses because they’re incompetent and have had to deal with immense amount of pain due to them delaying my prescriptions unnecessarily.

I've unfortunately needed a lot prescriptions filled over the last few years. Even when they're incredibly busy, everyone has always been wonderful. Are they the fastest? No, but that's only because people have questions, and they're thorough and helpful. I love the online system and they refill and/or order quickly. Stay awesome y'all!

I called the Publix pharmacy at 12:05 PM to confirm that my prescription would be ready for pickup. They assured me that it would be ready within an hour. Fast forward to 4:58 PM, when I finally arrived to pick it up, only to be told that my medication was now on a waitlist! Had they informed me earlier that they didn’t have the medication in stock, I would have contacted my doctor and arranged to have it sent to another pharmacy.
The pharmacist's response was extremely frustrating – they claimed that they don’t know how much medication they have until they start filling orders. My question is, why did they tell me it would be ready within an hour if they weren’t even sure? If they had communicated properly, I could have taken action to ensure I had my medication in time, especially since I have to travel tomorrow. Now, thanks to their lack of transparency, the doctor’s office is closed and I’m left without my prescription.
This level of miscommunication is unacceptable. It’s frustrating to be told something that’s completely inaccurate, only to be met with excuses when they fail to deliver. If I had known earlier, I could have avoided this entire mess. Now I’m traveling without my medication, and it’s entirely due to their poor handling of the situation.

Pharmacy seems poorly managed. Routine refills are never ready on time - according to their own automated messages.

This place is amazing! I love going here, everyone is so friendly and work hard in meeting your medication needs. They go above and beyond every single time. Best pharmacy I’ve been to.

I was just trying to see if they had my prescription I’m stock and the tech was so rude. I’d say I was pretty nice too. You could literally hear her rolling her eyes. Her tone was just terrible. Like I was stupid for asking if they had it.

We moved to Publix Lake Nona fromWalgreens and so glad that we did. They have always gone above and beyond to get my daughter access to her diabetes meds and CGM supplies. They are always kind and helpful and have even gone out of their way to make sure we are taking advantage of any discounts from the pharma companies. Keep it up!

I want to give Kudos to Izza Khalil, the Pharmacist in Charge of the Publix 1430 Pharmacy. He is always going the extra mile and making their pharmacy technicians better every day. I was able to continue my treatment thanks to Izza. We need more pharmacists like him. Thanks.

Pharmacy representative at the counter is not welcoming and seems off. I won’t mention his name but he needs a lot of training

The pharmacy rep was extremely rude on the phone today 7/22/22. I periodically fill my scripts there. Recently after filling my script for Linzess at CVS, it somehow got transferred to a mail order script provider. I called Publix and asked that it be transferred to them, they called me back and said that my insurance would not cover it unless it is filled at CVS, (at which point I didn’t know the script was officially transferred to Publix). When I called the mail order service they stated that it had already been transferred to Publix. I then called Publix once more and asked that it be transferred to CVS due to non coverage. The pharmacy rep became so rude, she didn’t give me an opportunity to explain the situation before raising her voice and repeating over and over that I had made the request, and that now I needed to call CVS. I informed her that she had no phone etiquette and I hung up the phone. How a pharmacy staff can be so rude is beyond my knowledge and comprehension. I felt as though I was a child being chastised.

Literally one of the most unorganized, least transparent Publix pharmacies. If your life-maintaining or life-saving medications are requested a week before you run out and you call or roll up to check on them, don't expect an answer other than "we don't have it and will send you a text message when we do." OK, so what's the delay? "We don't have it and will send you a text message when we do." This feels like an attempt to get your customers out of your hair (great approach for a pharmacy, amiright), but I presume many people are like me and will want to know more information, so it ends up having the opposite outcome. The best thing about this one is the drive-thru. Honestly, the employees look like they would rather be somewhere else too. So much for the friendly faces at Publix.
