I'm giving this company 1 star for advertising a position on Indeed as remote, when in fact the position is in office! It's apparent that this company doesn't have the sense to know the difference between remote, hybrid, and in office is OR the company is being deceptive. Stop wasting candidates time!

After signing rental papers, the agent advised they do not have carts or dolly's to help me move my heavy box's into the climate controlled storage area. After seeing my back Doctor the next morning, he told me no lifting of any kind, until I have surgery. I did not move into the storage area. They advised me they will not refund my $132.60 Not good for an 80 year old Handicapped Senior

Horrible customer service. 1st month, I went to pay my bill online it said no such account with this phone # I called the office and made sure they had correct #. They said it was fixed .2nd month I go to to pay my bill online and it said there is no account with this #, again I call and they said it will be fixed. Go to uhaul...

Absolutely worst place ever..Paid a month in advance. .When I moved out I asked about a refund for the month not used,Was told they do not give back a refund for time not used..

I totally agree with the former employee's poor review of this company. If I could give it no stars I would as well. I'm having an issue with this company and have been trying for almost 3 weeks to get in touch with someone to discuss it. They charge you for what they call "insurance" and say it's mandatory even when you're covered by your homeowner/renter's insurance. Plus, you are not allowed to choose your own carrier or coverage. For all we know, Simply Self Storage owns the insurance company and is pocketing the money. I had a unit at a different location for nearly 3 years and they gave you a choice to go with their insurance or use your own and it was not mandatory. However, since I've moved to a different location, they refuse to waive it even though I have outside coverage. Therefore, I'm paying twice to insure the same items. With the rising costs of the units, the mandatory fees, and me being on a fixed income, if I cannot come to an amicable solution, I may not be able to continue as a customer and would be greatly inconvenienced because this unit is the closest to my home. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Unfortunately this is the only storage area in Ormond that offers a covered option for our boat, otherwise this would have not continued as long as it has. Our boat is stored in their "carport" bays, supposed to be secured and camera monitored. The office staff will insist that their security is top notch, but in the last eight weeks there have been four reported burglaries at the location according to the local police department. Our neighbor's boat was also ransacked, items stolen. Our boat has had the covers ripped off, rivets ripped from fiberglass, been used as a homeless shelter, has had the seats ripped apart, in a filthy condition with footprints and garbage left in the boat. We cannot reach anyone at the corporate offices, the onsite staff refuses to allow access to the security footage if it even exists and the last time we reported an incident, the staffer actually found it humorous.
