PLEASE HEED MY WARNING! You absolutely can not get in touch with this company. I hired them to store two units for me. I accidentally left my passport in one of the units and had to stress myself by calling and emailing them to try to contact someone. NOBODY answers the phones. Their online chat does not work. Ive sent tens of emails to every contact I could find online and no one replies. I ended up waiting three months to hear back from anyone. Mind you- all this to simply set up an appointment to access my units which I am entitled to as part of our contract. (I can not imagine them being responsible for transport). I recently changed my credit card and emailed/called them for three weeks to update it. SAME EXACT STORY. No answer/reply for weeks! I later received an email that they will be "charging me a fee since I didn't update my information".... I would have preferred to hire a company that charges double what they are charging to just have the most basic amount of customer service. PLEASE look up on facebook "Bring Down Smartbox LLC!". It is a facebook group filled with people in a similar or worse situation as me. Imagine moving and hiring a company like this to transport your life... You will regret it.

I have been a customer since 2013 and lately customer service hold times are horrendous. I can hardly ever get through. Right now, as I write this, I am on hold on both my cell phone and using my google voice number. I have been on hold for 30 minutes. What and the flying f***??? SERIOUSLY! This is unacceptable!

My long distance move went well considering what some friends of mine went through, although they went with the typical moving truck route. Moving from CA our stuff arrived 4 days past schedule but that was workable. All in all, to have 4 boxes delivered intact and complete, from start to finish only 21 days, that is not too bad considering. Juan and Tony parked the stuff on my driveway nicely, and the only drawback was the hiccup with their forklift having issues with the throttle. But they got the job done, in spite of.

I went with this place because it was the cheapest. The boxes were delivered with broken latches. After travel I had to call them a couple times to get my stuff and leaving messages. No-one picked up, of course. Now they keep trying charge me a monthly storage fee and racking up a bill when I already have my stuff and boxes returned. SCAM, I would not go with these people.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Othertimes you regret not spending the couple extra bucks on a company that knows what its doing. That doesnt damage your stuff, or that might delivery the correct boxes.This company is a mess. Run!

This is the one and only unprofessional , rude , unworkable group of administrators which reached clear up to the Manager in Charge in which I have ever had the 'pleasure' of trying to work with in my 62 years of life. i had been I reliable paying client of 10 years in Chicago dealing with wonderful administrators. Corporate Public Storage employed two [2] semis to truck all my P.Stored Containers to the Orlando P. Stg Facility for me unload in 5 hours into 2 trucks in order to make it further then finally enjoy in Sarasota. What an isolated P. Stg. managed surprise of a mess I found in Orlando.

I am a mid-age mother of three in the process of a two-year bitter divorce. I choose SMARTBOX because of it perceive convenience. I used the company for three years. At the time of rental, I stored the boxes on my personal property in my front yard. Code enforcement cited my property. Portable storage containers require a permit in Orange County. One mobile unit is allowed for up to 14 days, once every six months. I had two units on the property. NOTE: In Orange County, Florida, ONLY ONE storage unit is allowed on the property at a time. However, the sales representative did provide this information. Renter Beware. Three years later, I obtained the necessary permit for Orange County to have my items delivered. I requested that SMARTBOX only place one box at a time due to the permit requirements. My point of contact, who later self-identified herself as Lauren McNeil (Manager), advised the permit is only required for units off personally property, such as the road. I explained what I encountered and provided directions for storage delivery to comply with Orange County permit. Lauren advised there would be an additional $99 fee for delivery. I expressed my concern with paying the extra cost and she stated did not have the authority to waive the $99 fee for double delivery. Un-empathically, Lauran advised despite the ordinance the fee was required. She further stated that is the customer responsibility to be aware of the permitting requirements and encouraged that delivery both and empty them before code enforcement becomes aware. I requested a manager; at this time, Lauran identified herself as a manager and stated, "the one you contact because of your non-payment." I was appalled. As a customer, with hardships, I have paid over $3000 in rental fees and late fees. Nevertheless, I paid for them. For this reason, I would recommend that you do not use this company for the following reasons: Lack of disclosure Unprofessionalism Inflexibility to long-standing customers

Just tried to ask a question and was disconnected 3 times. Last time ask to speak to a real person and was told to wait and wait and wait wait. Decided after reading the bad review and my experience trying to ask a few questions I will go with a different company.
