The manager does not have leadership qualities and the branch provides bad and unprofessional service.

I thought the Truist on 436 and Lake Margaret was the worst in Orlando, I was wrong.
First of all, the wayfinding to the drive thru is awful. Once I found it, I put my checks in, sent them over, and heard... nothing. After a minute or two I hit the call button just to find out if they even got them. Thankfully they had, but it would have been nice to hear a "Welcome we're working on your deposit" in the meantime.
A whopping 15 minutes later I received my receipt, mind you I was the only one in the drive thru when I arrived and only one other car pulled up in this time.
It gets better, immediately I could see the deposit amount is wrong, so I have to call again and have them fix it. Another 5 minutes...
Needless to say I will be avoiding this branch like the plague.

Tried twice to open an account on the website and it glitched out. I then called the number the website said to call (844-487-8478) and it gave the 1920s phone busy signal after multiple tries. I then called the E. Colonial Dr. branch and a manager told me he had to check to see if they had appointments. After 22 minutes on hold, I hung up. An overall bad experience when trying to be a customer so why would I bank here when they've made me jump through hoops and hurdles right off the bat. 🤡

Both Martin and Alex have been absolutely awesome to work with. Their customer service is top notch and best in class. Even the teller who I was helping me had a wonderful personality and honestly just showed that this team here is amazing. Thank you, I will continue to come to this branch.

From my personal experience, Truist Bank is the worst financial institution in the country. I was a customer of SunTrust for over 20 years when I decided to move most of my accounts to a new bank with the merger of SunTrust and BB&T. I was set up since the year 2000 with 'mail only' correspondence. I had a $65 bill in Dec of 2022 that was supposedly late. Out of nowhere Truist claims that my bill was 'delinquent' without notice or a phone call. I found out because of a Credit Alert that was sent by Capital One and Truist itself. I paid the bill within 2 hours of being notified. I was traveling out of state at the time for the Holidays. After many mailings, conversations and pleading with personnel at Truist and many promises that the problem would be corrected nothing was corrected in my records. Truist personnel apologized profusely in every conversation. My Credit Score that had averaged 830 for the past 10 years dropped by 100 points. I appealed to Experian, Equifax and Transunion. Truist refused to back off on their 'delinquent' allegations. I did eventually emailed Steve Fisher - Regional President of Central Florida at Truist. He surprisingly contacted me immediately. He apologized in behalf of Truist for my troubles and advised me to go to my local branch in Winter Garden, Fl. FINALLY...I was getting some movement from Truist.I scheduled a meeting with the GM of the branch Alex Dicaro for May 5th, 2022. The day before I dropped off information with Reid (her assistant) that pertained to my problem with what Truist was reporting. Alex Dicaro called me later that day to tell me that there was no reason to meet with me because I was wrong. She stated that she didn't know who Steve Fisher was and that she could care less of what he thought! She did not report to him and he was a 'nobody' in her eyes. I kept my cool and told her the real problems I was facing credit-wise because of Truist mistake. She didn't care and even screamed out 'Whaaa, Whaaa Whaaa!!!' Mocking me for even bringing up the matter. I swear in my life I have never dealt with an individual that held such a responsible position to act so immaturely and disrespectful to a person who had been a customer of that location for 20+ years in good standing. Truist should be embarrassed to have someone like this working for their Company and how they have handled my entire matter. Keep in mind....this was over $65.!!James (Jim) Mallonee

I opened an account and found out less than 24 hours later they had a $400 promotion and then they refused to give it to me. I called corporate, I called the branch, I called everyone. These people are sooooooooooooooooooo deceptive. I can't wait to close my account here and tell everyone to go get $400 and then pull their money out. I'm a single mom tryin to find a place for my kids to live and this would've help me so much. Ok can't believe how evil this bank is. I was a faithful SunTrust account holder for about 8 years. I recently went back and man do I wish I never did. Can't wait to close my account tomorrow and tell everyone I know how too get free $400 and close out their accounts and everyone I know who has investments and mortgages to switch over. They make Wells Fargo look good. I hope you guys go down in flames. This review will be in every website I can find about banks.

Your money is not safe at Truist... writing on behalf of my 80 year old mother who is legally blind. There was fraud on her account which she reported by phone mid September and again by me 9/27 and in person by her 9/27 and both of us 10/14 and 10/27. The fraud started in June and continued until the end of September. I reported both the fraud (in detail) and the lack of Truist response to the manager Tania Ault who acted as if it was a huge imposition to look into it. Then we finally heard from Truist fraud via letter denying her claim because it was past the 60 day limit. Some of the charges were past the 60 day limit and some were past because Truist was dismissive and most were not past the 60 day limit. Most of the charges were small and for restaurants in Chicago-and should have been flagged. When you add them up- they total nearly $3,000. This is the only bank I've ever heard that did not reimburse for charges not made by the account owner. Your money is not safe here -it feels like it's their "MO".

Let's talk about Truist and their customer service or the lack of. I deposited a check today, larger than normal since it was monthly bonus. I was told at the window a portion would be held back. I said just deposit check. I'm still waiting for auto deposit to register. So that being said when I get home I look at the slip and it says my entire deposit will be held for seven (7) days. I now call the bank to get someone who can't really speak to me because their English is so non existent ( don't care what language you speak but for telephone customer service you must be able to communicate in English). That being said I was left on hold for o e(1) hour for a manger named Rachel who said it was legal and their was nothing she could do. She did not ask my name or the size of the deposit or even look at my account. I now have thousands of dollars on hold do to Truist bank. I can assure you on 1/31/23 I will be closing my account and going to a real bank Wells Fargo. Should have gone there to start with.If you here the word Truist RUN!!!

Your money is not safe at Truist... writing on behalf of my 80 year old mother who is legally blind. There was fraud on her account which went undetected by her because when Truist took over, they stopped sending her paper statements (which she used a special device to read). She reported fraud activity by phone mid September and when they did nothing. I called 9/27 and my mom went in person same day. The Truist rep was dismissive and when my mom pressed she looked into her account and said "it looks fine". When mom brought up the multiple restaurant charges in Chicago the lady said in a rude not comforting way "don't worry you'll get your money back". She was wrong, they did nothing so we went to the Colonial Branch 10/14 and 10/27 - still no response to I spoke to the manager in person 10/28 who seemed irritated by having to assist. We were finally given a case number and a week later mom got a rejection letter citing the claim is outside the 60 days. A fraction of the charges were outside the 60 days but most were not so we went back to Michigan branch where the manager was actually helpful and agreed that these charges should have been flagged (multiple small charges from June- September in out of state restaurants, many on the same day. My mom has not left Orlando in 15 years. He tired to help but the claim was still denied. Long story short- your money is not safe at Truist... if their is fraud on your card- you will not get reimbursed like you would at any other bank. If Truist does the right thing, I will be happy to with drawl the review.
