I've been using Truist bank long before they changed ownership from Sun Trust more than 20 years in fact. Truist was smart in keeping my local branch's employees who have consistently looked after my interests. Not limited to Laura and J.J. Majeski. Recently, I had someone intercept a paper check from the payee's mail, altered it and cashed it. Truist immediately launched an investigation and put the funds back into my account. Their online banking is simple to use and very reliable. I can't say enough about this bank (and the Orlando branch in College Park in particular) and urge you to place your funds and trust in Truist too.

I’ve been a member of suntrust for almost 18 years. Never had an issue with them, in fact, I’ve felt they’ve always been extremely courteous and helpful whenever I’ve needed their assistance. Unfortunately since they have become Truist this is no longer the case. I talked my gf into moving her business accounts over to Truist at the beginning of the year. The process was outdated and required my gf to visit the branch multiple times to get the accounts properly transferred. Once she dealt with this fiasco it took them an additional 3 MONTHS and several more trips to the college park branch to get the accounts added to her Truist app. Absolutely ridiculous. I wish this was the end of our troubles but there’s more. A few months after she transferred her business accounts we decided to open a joint account. While opening the account the banker we had been dealing with offered me a credit card that I was preapproved for. I declined on that visit but came back a few weeks later asking if the offer was still available. It was, so I applied. In the next 6 weeks I went back to the branch to inquire about my application and whether or not I would be receiving the card 6 DIFFERENT times. Each time I went, the bank staff including the branch manager could offer me no answers or help in securing this card or about the status of my application even though Truist reps at the 1800 number stated it would only take two weeks to process the application(reps referred me to the branch I applied at each time I called). Each time I went to the branch I was assured I would receive a call by the end of the week with an update on my status and the situation. NOT ONCE DID I GET A CALL BACK. Instead each week I would have to go back to the branch just to be told they had no idea what was goin on and to expect a call back. Finally on my 6th visit and after waiting 45 min to speak to the branch manager I was told they had lost my application (it was done online so it definitely exists somewhere on the great World Wide Web) and the only option was to reapply and hit my credit again. No thanks Truist. You guys failed miserably at what I consider to be basic services offered by a bank. I really hope Truist and the college park branch get their act together but I can assure you I won’t be sticking around to find out if they do. If you can’t get these simple tasks right how can I trust you to handle my money?

SunTrust Bank are COMPLETE scam artist. After speaking to multiple Representatives a reference to a mistake on my account speaking with the branch manager him reassuring me that my account was just fine and all will be well I deposited all the money I had on hand and to my SunTrust bank account only to find out what the less than 10 minutes that had closed out my account and refused to give me back my money is deposited it will take five days of not activity of my account along with 7 to 10 business days to close out my account with additional 7 to 10 days to cut me a check for my money's leaving me to have $0.75 to my name because SunTrust Bank refused to give me any money that I put into my own bank account this is a warning do not place your hard-earned money into SunTrust Bank pants I repeat they are scam artists

They've always treated me decent and given me loans and accounts where other banks wouldn't. The only negative aspect with this particular branch is the parking and the frequent long waits at the drive up teller.

Don't trust SunTrust with your money. The employees don't care about you they are just happy to have a job. They want your money and that's it. They have terrible customer service and have proven to hold your money, not secure it safely. Watch your back. Any bank option is better than this one.

If it weren't for the inconvenience of changing both personal and business accounts, I would have bounced from SunTrust long ago. Aside from the long time teller, Laura, there is no customer service...particularly at the College Park branch. Ironically, I started banking with SunTrust against my better judgement because of the great experience I had with a former branch manager. He is gone and I have found no one within the company to replace him. Fees? Just another typical big bank. If you mention it to anyone, they'll badger you into buying other products. The fees don't go away.
