All the reviews are accurate, THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THE LIABILITY INSURANCE even if you say no. I knew going into this rental that they would ask and upon my research, website said optional. The lady at the counter was pushing me to purchase and I said I don't want it. She insisted that I would have to pay for the damages on the vehicle if I didn't purchase and I said that's fine I will pay for damages and that I didn't want the insurance. Low and behold, I was charged for it. All reviews about Thrifty in Orlando airport have the same experience stating they charge you for the insurance. Review your receipt before leaving the counter. I'm going through BBB for this unethical way of business they're running.

I'm highly disappointed in the treatment of my family and my family experience from a thrifty rental car company. My vehicle was infested with roaches. The roaches were crawling all over my daughter, myself, and my husband. Once we saw these roaches we immediately started to panic, I was forced to pull on the side of the highway at night and my husband and I used our lights on our phone to see where the roaches was coming from, that's when we discovered dead roaches all over the car and under the seat. I immediately tried calling customer service on 12/21/23 and was having a really hard time getting through to anyone. I then tried calling again on 12/22/23 and was successful, I spoke to a very nice young man at about 9:34am he gave me a case #20704623 and told me that he took note of everything I said and I should talk to the representative at the counter once I return the vehicle. Once I arrived at the MCO airport Thrifty location and checked the vehicle in, I spoke with the young lady who I dropped the care off with and told her the situation, she wrote "bug infested" on the car window in blue and directed me to speak with the Thrifty representatives at the counters because that's where I would be able to speak with a manager. I finally arrived at the Thrifty counter on the 4th floor of terminal C, and there was NO manager. I spoke with a representative there, and he told me there was NO manager available and he's just a representative and isn't authorized to override anything in regard to this matter. He also told me I could contact customer relations for help. I then became very frustrated because no one was listening or even cared about what's going on. I THEN called customer relations again and spoke with a lady named Elizabeth at 3:21 pm omgeeeee she just made things even WORSE, she told me there's nothing she can do because I didn't call roadside assistance to help with this matter. I was so confused, I didn't know that roadside assistance is now pest control. She told me I should have called pest control and not customer service. I was like, WHAT are you kidding me? She said "yes, I'm sorry I can't help you" I said I need to speak with a manager or someone who can help me. She said "you can send an email to Customer
[email protected]" I said ok thank you! So basically I got no where, I then confirmed with the representative at the Thrifty counter that there was no manager around to help me and he said yes, so there's no one that can help you here but here's the email to contact customer relations
[email protected] [email protected] 18008474389 So, I would like someone to contact me in regards to the matter, I have been unsuccessful with getting this matter resolved.

Do not use Thrifty Car Renal. I was charged for services I did not request and was charged twice, once for the car rental in a airline package and once at the desk. The service agent at the Orlando Airport added Damage waiver and Liability Insurance to my rental, which I did not request. DO NOT USE.

Be aware! This company is underhanded and deceitful. We rented a car from them mid November and were all booked and ready to go for a reasonable price. When we were doing the final paperwork the lady at the counter asked us if we wanted "standard" coverage or to upgrade to a better coverage. The way she presented it made us think that it just came with the car. NO cost was discussed. When we were signing the paperwork the only charge that was on the paperwork was the $40 for tolls which was fine. We then noticed as we were almost to our destination that the price had gone up by $110. My wife called them and they refused to refund us the money. We feel as if the company stole from us and refuse to make it right. If you want to be ripped off and have your money stolen go here. They will lie, not show you full documation, omit details and upcharge you without telling you. Taking advantage of people to make a quick buck is a horrible business practice. DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE. Go somewhere else!!

After 6 tries I don't feeling frustrated. This is Thrifty Car rental national -Charged 2x for "free" upgrade -Horrible Online customer service options -worthless rewards program - Charge for refueling, which was not necessary and had to fight to get the money back. - three month fight for mischarges on credit card bill with credit card company on my side and receipts. They tried to wear you down. -

Communication Communication Communication Let's begin. I booked with Priceline to pickup A midsize SUV from the thrifty rental car in Orlando Florida. I called to verify my rental and that, a 12 AM Saturday morning pick up was ok. Mind you I had already paid. The receptionist on the phone apologized and stated the Priceline rep told me the thrifty location was closed at that time and did not open until 8:00 am. How could you accept a payment knowing the location was closed. She just kept saying I'm sorry I'm sorry have I helped you? No. I wasn't satisfied so I called thrifty and it connected me to hertz. This receptionist did a little more homework she assured me that the airport location was 24hrs and someone Hertz or Thrifty would be able to get me my vehicle. I arrive Orlando airport 12:30 car pickup I'm at the desk of Dollar rentals next to thrifty. I explain I'm there for pickup for some reason he tries to up sale me on a transponder for the toll road. I don't need it. Then he tries to get me to purchase another extra insurance claiming the one I had purchased already didn't show up in their database. No,no,no. Now I get out to the parking garage the lady there seems nice for a lol sales person. She goes into this spill " we don't have any SUV will you take this nice electric car for no extra charge and you only have to bring it back at 30% charge. I asked how long does it take to charge she tells me 1 hr. Me being ignorant bought this hook line and sinker. The car was at 90% when I got it. I drove from Orlando down to Winter haven 50% Did some site seeing liked the ride how it handled smooth quiet. Then it dropped to 43% I looked for a charging station in the area. I took it paid my $20 sat there an hour and it went up to 50% Now if I drove back to Orlando I could still make the 30% But I should not be put in this position while on vacation . Stay away from electric cars on vacation you will use lots of time at charging stations you have to pay for, I did not like this experience at all Thrifty. My request for a vehicle was not last minute you had plenty of time to provide a vehicle.

I rented with Thrifty in Orlando. When I arrived, I had to wait in line for 45 min while one of the employees kept walking off to talk on his phone. Then when I got to the counter I noticed they changed my return time from 8pm to 9am. When I asked about it they said I would have to pay for an additional day. But she was unable to make the change, I would have to make the change on the website. So I used the website which charged me an additional $201 when my daily rate was $67 a day. No other rental agencies had a line at all and I have never had someone argue with me when I declined an uncharge. Stay far away from Thrifty/Dollar. They are the same company and rent from anywhere else. There are plenty to choose from at the airport.

Worst customer service EVER. I lost my keys in their rental car. I called to confirm everything I filled out in the form was correct and the lady who I spoke to was SO RUDE and said she couldn't give any help since I'd filled the form. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I'M 100% SURE I LOST MY KEYS THERE AND THEY HAVEN'T FOUND + NO ONE CARES! 0 STARS!

It's fine, as car rental hubs go, but there seems to be no logical reason for the length of time it takes to get here from the terminal. Shuttles run regularly, (though not frequently) and thanks to the byzantine layout of the airport, it's a solid 10-minute ride to get to the rental car center.

BUYER Beware- I rented a car at orlando airport the agent added a 356 dollar charge without discussing or sharing that she was adding a insurance charge. They add charges deceptively and on purpose. THEY ARE horrible and liars. i even mentioned not having my glasses and was told no worries jist sign here. LIARS AND THIEVES. WATCH THEM
