Read the reviews before you use this place. They FORCE you to use their insurance, non negotiable. Have the best insurance coverage in the world, nope have to show us documentation. Not just insurance cards, they want a statement of liability. But they don't tell you that until you get here. It adds $100 to the bull at minimum. Car not filled up in gas. Told us its because they picked us up. Excuse me, you are not locates at the airport (they are located at a strip mall)so how else did you you expect us to get here? On top of that, they were an HOUR late picking us up, even though they confirmed with us 3 hours before our flight. Joke company that I hope goes out of business with the way they handle things. Go with a big name company for car rental This one is sketch.

Really bad service. The price was higher then planned. Force to add insurances even if we have one. It took more then 2 hours just to pickup the car. Worst car rental experience ever on all points.

Long waits and sketchy. I rented from this location in December 2020. My credit card information was hacked not long after renting here. I'd recommend staying far, far away.

I highly recommend you go elsewhere. It's worth going to a major car company and paying more than to go through this experience. Couple things that took place: to charge me $27 more than the price I signed up for online and gave me a reason if addtl fees. That's bogus. Was going to charge me for collusion insurance which I had declined unless I produced my insurance declaration. Luckily my insurance agent answered the phone when I called from the rental office and emailed them to me right away otherwise it would have cost another $100+. Lastly they charge $300 additional on my credit card to hold as a deposit. I'm now waiting for the credit. That is the most unethical practice any car rental company should be doing. Next time I go to a major rental company and I pay the difference for the peace of mind. I didn't even mention the quality of the car.

Do not rent from here. They literally cancelled our car rental while we were in mid flight. I called for pickup and this is how I found out. They stated that they were overbooked and they we booked from a 3rd party sight, which I did not and regardless if we did they should have told me that they were going to cancel when I called to confirm everything the day before. In their paperwork it states we have to give 48hrs notice or be charged a $35 cancellation fee. Well they only gave us a 30 minute notice (via email which I did not see til later that day) while leaving my family of 5 scrambling to figure out what we were going to do in a state we dont live in.

I can only pray that people read the reviews before renting a car from this company. RUN! Do not walk and stay away from this place. I thought I was getting one the best deals around and I ended up paying double for the car. They had all these fees pop up outta nowhere that were nowhere in the website when I reserved the car. Please please please rent from anywhere else, Alamo has thus far been the best car company I have rented from. Value was absolute trash.

If I could give them a NEGATIVE rating I would. TOTALLY DISREPUTABLE!!! I reserved a vehicle for May 26th on March 11th. I arrived at Orlando Airport on May 26th only to learn that Value Car Rental had CANCELED my reservation on THE PREVIOUS DAY with no explanation. The weekly rate I had reserved was for roughly $450 after taxes. The cheapest replacement 7 passenger vehicle I could rent was $1100. I found a competitor that rented a comparable vehicle for roughly $750 for the week. NEVER TRUST VALUE CAR RENTAL!!!!

Shuttle driver was cool, but how they gonna charge us over 300 for insurance? We have our own insurance but they wouldn't take that! This place rips you off! Do not use they fake advertisements prices!

We rented the car through DiscoverCars.com. We prepaid for our rental. After arriving at the airport, we called Value Car Rental and were told our rental was given away. We were told we only had 2 hours after our reservation time to pick up the vehicle, and we could not get a refund. So we were stuck at the airport. We had to rent a vehicle at the terminal for almost twice what we had paid.

Stay away!! Reserved a van in February for a family vacation in May. Two day before the trip I was emailed that my reservation was cancelled due to system problems. Try finding a van in Orlando with 48 hours notice! Lady at the office was ignorant and hung up on us! This company is nothing but a scam. (I'm sure they rented my vehicle at a higher price to somebody else.) Terrible customer service, even worse employees, avoid at all costs. Won't waste my time filing a complaint as they will be out of business soon enough.

Do NOT rent from Value— an unethical business.1.Ask for “Declaration of auto insurance” when insurance certificate is accepted everywhere else.2. my flight was delayed by 90 minutes: the clerk states my reservation is no longer honored.3. Only 1 clerk working and takes more than hour and half wait to process.Stay Away!Andy C.

I couldn't figure out where to go at airport to get to my rental car shuttle. I was already getting frustrated. I called and the lady gave me perfect instructions on how to get to my shuttle. Ten minutes later the guy shows up. He is very nice and gets me to the rental office. It inside a Holiday Inn. A little office with a cheap sign in front of it. Nervous I go in and the girl working is very nice. She asked for my voucher and I had no idea what she was talking about. I booked through hooper! I started getting freaked out and she took my phone and 15 minutes later it was all good. The same guy that brought me there took me to my car and we both did a very thorough inspection. He marked things I didn't even notice. Oh and the toll tag is 8.95 per day. Great deal seeing just today I went through the toll 7 times. I will remember these peoples name soon and add it to the post. Thank you for making my mistake go away. Will use them again. Also the car is clean and in good condition with 30k on it. Drove great.

One important rule of thumb people, when you are preparing do go on a trip and you're looking for a car company to rent from, ALWAYS read the reviews first! I made the mistake of not doing that when I attempted to rent from Value Car and instantly regretted it. A few months ago I went online to their website and booked a car for a weekend trip to visit family. I received a confirmation number for my order and got a confirmation email saying I was all good to go. As I got closer to the leave date, I realized my card was never charged and wondered that the order wasn't processed, but when I re read the email, it said I'll be charged when I picked up the car. Cool, I'm still taking I'm good. I finally get to the airport and head to the shuttle area to wait for the bus to pick me up. After about 15 mins I decide to call the company to see when the shuttle was coming. The guy says they should be there in the next 10 mins. I wait another 40 MINUTES and still no body. I tried calling back multiple times but no one would pick up then phone. Finally after a hundred try's the same dude from before picks up and acts surprised when I tell him the shuttle still didn't come. He asked for my information to confirm my order then proceeds to tell me that i NEVER had a order to begin with. Their system "booked" me a car by mistake but didn't have any cars available to rent out to me. He told me he could still send a shuttle out to get me and he could review some options they had for me in person, but I was honestly so upset I just hung up the phone. Afterwards I went to look at the reviews and sure enough everyone before me were saying the same thing I just experienced. I'm happy I still wasn't charged for the car I was "supposed" to get. But the whole experience just left a sour taste in my mouth. So take my word for it, whatever you do, don't rent from this place!

The bait and switch bs as described by everyone else here made me cry in frustration. I travel the world solo and have never had an experience like this.

Absolute dog water.... the lady behind the counter has a smooth brain. She made up some bogus thing about how I needed to produce some insurance papers. Nowhere on the booking did it say I needed to bring this piece of paper. She tried to then force me to buy their insurance for an extra $200. There was another customer there who had been waiting for her car for 3+ hours when they finally told her they'd sold it to someone else and she wasn't going to get a car. She probably won't get her money back either. Total absolute scam artists. Smooth brains . Dog water .
