handy site for East Orlando areaafter exiting the far east end of the (toll) east west expy. (FL408) some 6/10 mile 1 Km on the right is this Store. easy in/out. a great selection of merch. store brands are great. the friendly staff is quite helpful. this store is less crowded than other locales nearby. a plus for rapid shopping. the site has other operations there. nearby is the light at Lake Picket road... easy access to FL 50, E. Colonial drive, and on to the east coast and beyond.

This Winn-Dixie is the worst the cashiers have an attitude they don't greet the customers when they come to the register. His reply was well I'm giving you a discount . When you ask the stock person Where the item is located within the store they have an attitude like you're bothering them this is why I shop at Publix with shopping is a pleasure I'll never go to this Winn-Dixie or any Winn-Dixie for that matter ever again And this is the Winn-Dixie on Bridgewater at 13200 E. Colonial Dr.

I've been shopping at this Winn-Dixie for years! It had some minor renovations recently and is nicer than back when I first started shopping here. I'm still afraid to see if the bathrooms are in the same shape because those were just downright nasty, but the outside and produce section got a facelift. I've generally shop by whatever the weekly specials are and they've usually got some good bogos and deals. When I bought meats, I used to get great deals. It's not the fanciest of stores by any stretch, but I haven't run into issues with buying expired or rotten foods like I've had at my local Wally World so it's a step up from that for sure.

Customers beware!!Winn-Dixie has changed there return and exchange policy. Employee Vernon told me that they no longer take returns or exchanges because they don't want us to make them sick by bringing back infected groceries. So if they sell you something bad and you can't return it.Publix still takes returns and exchanges

This is a huge Winn Dixie with a ton of options. I typically stop here when they are having a good sale on items. They have a nice variety of produce and pre-packages salads. Their deli is friendly and helpful. Their meat section is pretty big and they keep up with demand when there's a sale. I like this store as there's a middle aisle that bifurcates the normal long aisles in the store, so you can walk across the front, the back, or the middle to find the aisle you're looking for. The checkout lines can get long and it can take a while for them to open another register or two. I have seen it done and everyone is usually pretty friendly here too. Check the weekly circular and check out the deals here. Some things are cheaper than Publix and Walmart if you play the deals. And the fried chicken is pretty darn good, especially if you get it fresh.

This location perfectly exemplifies what has plagued Winn-Dixie in recent years and has had them in a downward spiral. Inconsistent pricing, poor quality control especially when peeling with food items past the expiration date staying on the shelves, inadequate staffing are all major contributing factors to a supermarket that has lost its footing while other brands have stolen a significant portion of their customer base. For a company that once promoted themselves as "The Beef People" it is particularly disheartening to see their meat department disintegrate as it did. Far too often the meat is tough of just substandard.

So unlike the people posting below about their once a year pop-in's. I live in the neighborhood and Winn Dixie Always Beats the prices on the Publix a block away. I go to WD because I think Steve is very friendly including Andy the Store Manager. Chad the customer service guy, and Gus the Deli Manager and his friendly team of ladies back there! The only thing I would request for the building, is an upgrade! Don't change a thing guys. We'll continue to shop at our favorite store.

Like another reviewer mentioned, I come here only in an emergency. If the prices here were lower then I might go, but don't understand why the prices are actually higher here. For example, prices are higher at Publix in part to pay for the better salary and benefits employees are given, which leads to friendlier employees, and you get great customer service like offering to help you out with your groceries. Prices are higher at Winn Dixie with no benefit for it- either for the customer or the employee. I price compared my receipt at this store to prices at our local Walmart and almost every single item I purchased was priced $1.00 higher! Only the sale items are priced fairly. What's more, you have to watch and make sure that food items are not expired. More than once I have gotten expired hot dogs or crescent rolls, etc. I also have strong suspicion they did not throw out all perishable food items when power was out for 2 days after Hurricane Irma passed through, because I bought a pack of frozen waffles shortly after that event and one side of them was covered in frost and they were completely soggy when you tried to toast them. I called to complain and was allowed to come back and get another box (no additional offers in the interest of good customer service) and guess what? Same thing! All stock should have been BRAND new right after the hurricane but it wasn't, so I have reason to believe they only threw out dairy and meats but kept things they thought wouldn't be hurt by thawing like the frozen vegetables and breads. Yeah the waffles didn't kill us (especially since they were too soggy to actually eat), but it's gross, and cheap.

The only reason I gave them a one star is because there's nothing lower! I just left there the only thing that is worse than their bad produce and their lack of selection is the piss - poor attitude of their staff. They are the rudest customer service people I have ever dealt with. This includes their management! The guy named Steve doesn't even acknowledge people!!! I was in Publix down the street yesterday and it's like night and day. I live less than 1/4 mile from this Winn Dixie and will not return. Hopefully they'll close their doors so another professional grocery store can open.
