Wilderness Lodge Mercantile is a well themed souvenir and convenience shop inside the Wilderness Lodge. It provides sundries, edibles and apparel, allowing guests to rough it in relative comfort and snag souvenirs like totem poles and coon skin caps. The shop offers a decent selection including t-shirts, pins, kid jewelry, journals, swimwear, pool toys, snacks, and a pretty good selection of Mickey ears. It also sells breakfast foods, dinner foods, milk, juice, soft drinks, wine, and beer. The space features a magnificent Christmas tree and a restful, delightful working fireplace nook. A unique feature is the character, Humphrey the Bear, featured on the totem decoration outside, with a small version available for purchase. The staff is very polite, helpful, and friendly. A noted issue is the non-existent airflow, making the shop excessively hot and hard to breathe in at times. The resort also offers boat transportation to Magic Kingdom and character sightings have occurred.
My family and I are on vacation from Puerto Rico. Octavius went above and beyond for my family to make sure we had the best time on our vacation and we are immensely grateful. 5 stars easily!
