My wife loves to cook, and she is a terrific cook. Her specialties are not just limited to contemporary American dishes, but she is very well versed in Chinese style cooking too. If you have not tasted many traditional Chinese dishes, you probably didn't know that most of Chinese cousines are cooked in a Wok, and there most dishes creates a lot of smoke when stir-frying. Obviously a powerful range hood is very important to us with Chinese cooking. We arrived at this particular location after seeing one of their ads in Chinese newspapers. When we first walked in, we weren't quite sure what kinds of products they are selling. Yes, I do see a few hoods in display, but most of the store is displaying something else which are not associated with home appliances. The store staff was very friendly ad polite. We explained to her what we are looking for and she immediately brought our attention to one of the product which she said is on sale, but it ends today. The product she showed us seemed like a very well made hood. She made a demonstration on how powerful the hood is able to remove the smokes and orders. It all sounded great until we found out it costs over $1k before installation. We love to cook, but not that much. Even the products looks great and apparently can do the job, but we are just not ready to fork over $1K unless we are ready to open a home Japanese hibachi place. We started walking over to Lowe's next door thinking, does a range hood cost that much these days. Even thought the store staff was very friendly and helpful, and I am sure that product on sales is a very good product, that's just a little bit out of our league.
