Now, thank God, I had already decided that in case of an emergency or any new development in Peter's health, I was going to go to Dr. Moreno and so it was. Peter had some discomfort, he was not breathing well and his eye was extremely irritated. I immediately went and they took care of me without any problem. “Just another amazing reminder why I go to the small hometown animal hospital, and not the corporate chain. My dog just got seen approximately a week ago for treatment. He was having filming at the mouth and the doctor saw him right away. Luckily, my dog was okay and he had no issues. The doctor was so nice that he waved the visit fee. “I can’t say enough wonderful things about Valerie. My nine-year-old Pomeranian needed a new groomer because he can be a bit reactive during grooming. Our previous groomer, who we loved, recommended Valerie since her grooming space is quieter and more suitable for him.

I was honestly very nervous about trying someone new. In the past, my little boy had a stroke after being groomed by a mobile groomer, so finding someone gentle, patient, and attentive was incredibly important to me.

From the very first phone call, VCA staff and Valerie were kind, understanding, and truly attentive to my dog’s specific needs. She asked thoughtful questions and took the time to understand his history and temperament. When I look for a groomer, I look for someone who genuinely cares about the small details and Valerie absolutely does.

She is one of the sweetest people you’ll meet, and it’s clear she truly loves and respects animals. As a protective pet owner, I’ve often felt like I’d rather give my Pomeranian a choppy at-home haircut than risk bringing him somewhere he might be stressed or mishandled. With Valerie, I feel completely comfortable and confident that he’s in caring hands.

“VCA Pines West has been so loving and caring with our pets. I truly have no preference with the doctors because they've all been awesome and focused on getting our pets healthy and happy! CareClub has also been a huge boon for us in spreading out the cost of routine care and vaccines. No, they're not the cheapest, but you won't worry about the quality of their care and as someone who utilized them until the end with my most beloved dog, that's damn near priceless. I will be forever grateful to them for their compassionate care with our sweet girl, squeezing us in for her last appointment after hours on New Year's Eve.”

“Dr Machado Achong is an awesome veterinarian. During my first visit with my cat (Misty) he answered all my questions and concerns. He did an excellent job for Misty’s spaying surgery. She healed beautifully. Ms. Alexis Green (front desk) is so pleasant and kind. I was nervous dropping Misty off for her surgery but Alexis took time out to talk to me and gave me the reassurance that Misty was in good hands. I recommend this location.”
