Rented car for a week. Asked about toll pass and should I purchase my own Sunpass for $5.99 and not get charged a crazy fee for using the one that came with the car. Counter person said Florida would just send me a bill and I could pay online or by check. Looked at credit card statement and saw Dollar rental charged $39.95 plus the $7 in tolls. I was lied to. Just another way to cheat a customer

Absolute horror show!!So if you want an unsafe car that can kill you, be dismissed and ignored by 8 different people and be left on the side of the road for 4+ hours only to be told we cant help you, your on your own, than Hertz/Dollar is the company for youBack story, tire tread ripped away from the wheel on a five lane highway. After I grabbed the tread I realized one half of the wheel had no tread and was way past its serviceable life. (See photos). After 4 hours on the side of the road and multiple phone calls with Hertz/Dollar we were told they were unable to secure a tow ....And we were on our own!! We were able to secure the tow all on our own in 23 minutes. Furthermore we were continually dismissed and told we would have to pay for the tow and the damage caused to the bumper and the fender because we didn't get the "extra insurance". Um you put a tire on the car that was bound to fail, why is this my problem.To make matters worse they had 3 different manufacturers tires on the car of different treads and wear.... which is a no, no. I've included a picture of the wear on the tire that blew. It should have never been on the car. It was an accident waiting to happen. It was from 2019 the car was a 2020.I googled the tire it can be purchased for right around 110 dollars. I expect I am renting a safe car and I shouldn't have to risk my life to rent a car. So I figure Hertz/Dollar values our life at about $55 a person between my girlfriend and I.Go Team Hertz. I'm so glad that fouth quarter net profits for 2022 was 116 million on 2 billion of revenue, yet you could risk our lives over the cost of a tire. I think there is an expressed contract you won't kill me when I rent a car from you. But hey if you care I still have the tread and multiple pictures. Keep up the great work. ?And thank your staff for their snotty attitude and lack of caring. Who leaves two customers stranded on the side of the road for 4+ hours?When you put all the factors together this isn't a mistake. It is gross negligence to put profit before safety. Clearly multiple people saw the mismanagement of tires on the car and the tire that blew was overlooked time and time again.Should I contact the FTC or the Attorney General in Florida? Maybe they will be more interested on how you maintain you vehicles and actually reach out to me instead of being ignored by your regional manager.

The rental car itself was fine but the company tacks on shady charges after the bill is closed out without any amplifying info. Tried calling to understand the charge, you can't get through to a human and are told the system is under maintenance. Be ready for shady business practices and having to dispute charges through your credit card company since you will never reach anyone at this location or company.

Latisha is phenomenal, she was doing her too busy with us. However unfortunately the individuals on the phone were absolutely horrific with their customer service but Leticia still said her ground and never attempts to try and assist despite the issues I was experiencing. She is a phenomenal individual and if you run into any trouble, know that she was your corner! But the company sucks.

They are pathetic, my husband and I rented a car for the labor day weekend on Friday September 1st 2023 around 12.30pm. First there was no one at the Dollar counter to help so my husband had to go Hertz.This the highlight of the whole trip. We pick up the car and leave with for our planned weekend, after driving from Pensacola, FL 2hrs the rented cars windshield wiper just flys off. We were in the middle of the storm and the drivers side windshield wiper just flies off and the metal is scrapping the whindshield. We immediately call dollar customer service for the issue the lady on the customer servive said you can drive to a repair service and put on a windshield wiper, she opened a case no and told us while returning the car give them the case no and they should be able to refund you the money for the new windshield wiper.So we go to the the rental car return on Monday September 4th, 2023 tell them the issue and give them tge case no the manger at the Pensacola airport for Dollar rental literally said we cannot do anything its your responsibility that the windshield wiper flue off. We were stunned by that statement because its their car which we rented and withing renting and driving the windshield wiper flue off. She said its the coustomers resposibility of the damages when we had all our trip covered and insured, and we literally paid for the wiper of their car which they should have been responsible for the safety check as it was not checked by them before handing it to us. The manager was not helpful how is the coustomer responsible for the windshield wiper flying off while driving

I rented through Expedia. I checked to make sure I could use my debit card when I picked it up and their policy say that’s fine. When I went. To pick up the car they refused to rent to me because I’m local and had a debit card. Now I’m missing a day of work to try and get a car so go out of town in. After rechecking their website it says nothing about locals not able to use a debit card.

Yes I was quoted 300. Was charged over $500. They ran out of cars and despite my pleading they gave me and everyone else in line, Teslas. I get one mile from Pensacola Airport rental and tiny spiders start crawling out of vents. See posted pictures. I turned around and by the time I reached airport to return Tesla. They were crawling on me. Guy at rental desk was rude and acted like he didn’t remember me. Asked how many days did I have vehicle …” 5 minutes”. Questioning me about there really being spiders and how many. Didn’t want to see pics or videos. I will never rent from Dollar/Hertz again. I have contacted customer service and all I get is an apology. Where is my money?! (Have videos too)

This was one of the most frustrating experiences at a car rental place and that is saying something. I was second in line and it took over an hour to get my car. But the time I was done there was a line of 20 people. The other person next to me was in line over 30 minutes. I had a reservation and they had a car but the lady just sat there. I could barely understand her and she said my car was coming. Every ten minutes I asked her if there was an issue and she said no my car was coming and seemed annoyed I was asking. Eventually another lady went to get my car and never came back. Then this lady after 40 minutes went to get my car and was gone 15 minutes. She finally said my car was ready and said nothing else. I asked where to go and she said the Dollar booth in the garage. And pointed in a general direction. We found a the garage but the Dollar booth was closed. So we walked around for 10 minutes hitting the lock button until we heard a horn honk and found out car.The car got us places but had a transmission issue and it got worse and worse. The touch screen usually didn't work either.

If I could give a zero I would. Literally use ANY other rental company. The line is (no exaggeration) 10x longer than any other line and moving at a snail's pace.

0.0 stars, You truly get what you pay for! By far the worst experience with a rental car company. The line was long and I waited for 2 HOURS to be assisted. The customer service rep was very sweet and doing the best she could. That's the only good thing I can say about this experience. 45 mins into my drive the flat tire light came on, I was holding on by a wing and a prayer hoping I can make it to my hotel. When I arrived, I immediately contacted customer service and the rep. mentioned that I would have to drive 2 hours away to the nearest Dollar Rental location to receive another vehicle. I couldn't do that on a Friday night at 5pm! I had an event to go to. I had to use Lyft to get to my events instead of my rental car because I was worried about the tire. My entire trip was ruined because I was not able to use the rental car the first day of my trip. Even on the survey after I turned in my vehicle I requested a call back from corporate and No One reached out to me. I will NEVER use this rental service again!

My employer booked me a rental car through PNS airport Dollar. I was a little worried due to the poor reviews I had seen on Google. However I had a great experience. I landed around 4pm, and walked straight to baggage claim. The baggage claim is within eye sight of the rental car counters. I noticed only one person in line for Dollar, so I decided to try and get my car before my bags were on the carousel. Needless to say within 3 minutes at the counter I had my paperwork for the rental done before the baggage carousel started turning. Also, maybe I got lucky but my rental agreement said I was suppose to be in a “Chevy Spark or similar” (sub-compact), but they gave me a brand new Nissan “Kicks” SUV.I was driving out of the airport at 4:32pm.

I will never again rent with dollar car rental. I booked a month in advance for my car, and decided to go with enterprise rental due to their lack of communication and many 'complications' with payment. Their call center team was also very rude, and pretty much useless with getting any help. I had to call 3 times to get even a simple call back from the supervisor, whom I never heard back from. Do not rent here if you want to save money, time, and yourself from the stress!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I will never rent from this company again. I waited over 2 hours to pick up my rental from an understaffed counter who didn't seem to give any care about providing good customer service. I then spent 7 phone calls over that weeks rental with customer service trying to change the method of payment with 7 different explanations of why they couldn't. After being assured it would get charged to the correct card during my 7th call I found out after returning the vehicle that it wasn't. On my 8th call I had to ask to speak to a supervisor because the initial customer service rep said "there's nothing I can do". The supervisor came up with a quick solution but the fact that I was given the run around so many times is unacceptable. I don't typically write strong reviews like this and I like to think that I'm a pretty agreeable person but this company was a nightmare from start to finish.

I'd like to thank Latisha, the manager of this facility.The 3 stars goes to her, not to the company.She was able to solve the issue I had with my car reservation.Her communication skills to speak with the call center were the game changer.Also, I'd like to thank Mikalya.The call center is useless and they tried to overcharge me $600 for the same car size. What a shame!

We waited over an hour for a car. 20 minutes just to get to the counter and then another 50 minutes to get the car. Our representative left us at the counter to "check on" the car and came back 20 minutes later with 3 dominos pizzas!
