Stored our household for almost a year with PODS while we moved out of state and had a house built.
Our stuff arrived in perfect condition…drivers were friendly and helpful … not one issue!!

If I could separate this review from the delivery and pickup guys, I would. Pedro was an absolute ninja in placing and extracting this pod. A+ But I won’t use Pods again and if it weren’t for Pedro, they would get a zero.
The administrative side of getting the pod, paying for the pod, and communication is an absolute poop show. I needed an onsite storage solution for my elderly father during a renovation project.
My dad’s card expired and they probably tried to call him to say they weren’t getting paid. He wouldn’t hear a dump truck going through a nitro-glycerin plant, so they called me as second on the account.
But it wasn’t PODS, it was some foreign collections outfit. I said, whoops. Let me fix this, I will pay you right now and get his card sorted out. But……. Nooooo, it’s at collections now. I can’t just pay the bill. It had to go one more month past due?
PODS, if you are reading this, I get it. Plenty of people with moving or storage problems are that way because they are down on their luck. But this collections process treated me like I was some homeless guy trying to skip rent on my new 10x20 apartment.
I have plenty of money, even tried to apologize and give it to you. PODS, just know that the credit hit you gave to my dad, a 78 year old Vietnam Vet wasn’t necessary and you lost me for life. Even if I was homeless, I might use your pod but I would cover up the name.

Save your self some money, time and a headache. They charged me everything in 2-3 days which was the opposite of what I was told. Now that didn't affect me but I can see how that could financially bind someone else. The 16ft cost me $3,358.58 i couldn't even fit a one bedroom apartment. I had to shell out another 1,400 for a U-Haul and yes the pod was stacked to the top we were very methodical with the way we packed it, using every square inch.This ain't my first rodeo...Now the drop off time came the day of it said between 4pm-7pm but ended up coming at 8am no call we just happened to look outside as they were pulling up. We had to buy are own locks even though we paid to rent theirs. Here's where it gets worse it was scheduled for pick up on the 22nd at 6pm-8pm so I had a dumpster dropped off the morning so I could get a jumpstart on gutting the living room floors and ceilings. I had a crew coming early morning on 23rd to start construction. The pod was placed in front blocking the dumpster. I get a email no call the day of, changing the pickup date from the 22nd to the 23rd time 7pm-10pm. ''Time is money''and when I called them they didn't give a damn, very rude and condescending promised me they would get a truck out here early morning. 6am...Well here we are 23rd I get a email stating pickup time between 7pm-10pm I rented the dumpster for two weeks so that's a day and a half wasted and now I be missing a day of from the crew. They offered me $100 refund. I could have rented a U-Haul with movers and saved myself money and time. The move was from Ohio to Florida 936 miles. Pic is of pod 7:13am lol

Access to pod is not anytime you desire. They are never too busy, but they limit access to only a certain amount of renters.

This is a great way to move your household goods and it's a lot less expensive than a full-service moving company. It's a lot more work but it's worth it. Everybody I spoke with was courteous and they were understanding and I had to make some changes and they were okay with that as well. The drivers were great!
