Peanut Island Park is an absolutely beautiful and dog-friendly island with stunning scenery, crystal clear warm water, and very nice beaches. It is a true treasure ideal for swimming, snorkeling, walking the trails, and discovering quiet spots. The relaxed atmosphere invites enjoyment with family or friends for picnics, camping, or simply relaxing while watching the sea. The camping experience can be awesome, with clean restrooms and showers, though the facilities could use a little update. Campers should note there is no electricity at the campsites and only one tent is allowed per lot. The island gets very packed, so arriving early is recommended. Visitors must bring their own food and drinks, as none are provided. Access to the island requires a ferry ride. While generally friendly, staff enforcement of rules, such as keeping dogs on a leash, can sometimes be perceived as rude. The park closes at 5 PM.
