Peanut Island Shuttle Boat offers regular boat trips to Peanut Island, with departures every 25 minutes. Visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches, some of the best snorkeling in Florida, scenic nature trails, and fishing piers. The service is dog-friendly, allowing guests to bring their pets for a fun day. Day trips cost $20 per person, while camping is $25 per person, with the last boat leaving the island at 3:00 PM and the last boat off at 5:00 PM. Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached, but online booking is recommended on weekends and holidays to secure a spot, especially during busy summer months. No alcohol is permitted on the island, and all coolers and cargo are subject to search. The boat staff is friendly and accommodating, even helping elderly guests. However, some reviews mention that prices have increased significantly, raising concerns about affordability. Visitors advise bringing only essential gear like coolers, chairs, and snorkel equipment, and note the importance of water shoes due to sharp rocks. Overall, the boat service provides a convenient way to enjoy Peanut Island’s natural beauty and amenities.
I’ve been to Peanut Island multiple times and the ferry employees have always been so gracious. Today on our way back, one of the kiddos in our group was hurt and one of the boat employees gave us alcohol pads and bandaids to clean him up and on top of that he gave our kids free drinks. The absolute best service.

We have been to Peanut Island several times and always a good experience. The ferry ticket is a bit pricey for a short ride but it’s easy to get there and the captains are pretty nice

Very cool place. Great for a day trip. Lots of secluded places that you could set up your chairs for a nice beach day. Traveled with a person in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating.
