We stayed at the Beach House Suites for three nights. Overall, the room was nice. Having a kitchenette was great, and I loved having a washer / dryer in my room. The hotel is in a great location with the beach just steps away, and plenty of options for dinning close by. The pool is a decent size, and there is a hot tub as well, which is right outside the rooms. The main hotel is 1/2 mile up the road, which we did walk to several times. The pool at the main hotel is much larger, and we did enjoy the bar and live music over there. Both hotels are old, but well maintained. The parking can be a challenge as the lot is small. I think this would be great for families / young kids because it's easy to access the beach without having to walk far and everything is right there. The beach is absolutely beautiful and clean. The food truck they have on the property was expensive and the food was just OK. $16 for a hotdog is ridiculous. The two fire pits on the outside area, as well as the turf with the soccer nets are a nice bonus.Nearby activities: Bush Gardens

Would def come back! Perfect for families that don't want to get caught up in tourist acts. Only downfall was the electrical on one wall that all the appliances were on including the fridge. Lost $100 worth of groceries & the housekeepers not shutting the doors properly and knocking when do not disturb was on the door. We went to RRU and needed our sleep the next morning(s)! ?

My husband and I recently stayed at the Don Cesar Beach Suites for a weekend. We booked a Grand King Suite which offered breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico. Our suite was conveniently located on the first floor, allowing us easy access to the pool area and the beach. We found the location to be kid-friendly but not romantic or quiet. The pool was not heated, but there was a hot tub next to it. We were impressed with the outdoor bar service and drinks, and our bartender Tasha was awesome. They had fantastic live music on Saturday, but none on Sunday. We did not dine out nor use the shuttle service. Four days before our arrival, I contacted the spa to book couples massage and mani/pedi appointments, but they didn't return my call until the day of travel, and we were unable to secure spa service because they were all filled. While we enjoyed our stay, we will not be returning.Rooms: We were disappointed with the state of the bedroom's carpet which was old and stained. Additionally, the furniture, baseboards, floors and walls were dirty.Food & drinks: We were impressed with the outdoor bar service and drinks, and our bartender Tasha was awesome. They also had a food truck that offered a limited selection of meal options and room service delivery with a limited and expensive food selection. We did not dine out nor use the shuttle.

Beautiful location, a bit pricey. There is a shuttle providing rides around the area. Full access to the original Don Cesar hotel and amenities.

This is a nice resort. My only complaint is that after exchanging RCI points AND paying $1k, we still had an "amenities" fee of $40/day plus $28/day parking. Just be prepared to pay for things you may not use.Rooms: We were in the condo units and ours was beautiful and had plenty of space.

Fabian that services the beach chairs and cabanas was absolutely amazing. We're not the biggest world travelers, but do we get around a bit and he probably provided service as good as anywhere we have had in the world. He never stopped hustling all day, and constantly checked back to make sure we had everything we needed. The guy was amazing, and he made us want to come back to the hotel just to enjoy his friendly service again. Great spot and GREAT service from Fabian, a true legend of St. Pete Beach!

We took a 1-night New Year’s celebration. They had a room for us right away, early morning! We checked in at 10AM, granted it was the handicap room but we didn’t mind because it had a great view! Full kitchen, pull out couch, washer and dryer, and lots of space!

Clean rooms, beautiful view! will be back. Okay, location, but It's best to have your own vehicle to get places. Everything is around 15 to 45 min away. Still amazing beach vacation!

I found out about the beach house suites from the Goop website. My husband and I thought this would be a great way to spread out with our four children while still enjoying the amenities and beauty of the historic Don Cesar. When we pulled into the parking lot we were a bit hesitant because it looks like an old motel from the roadside. The two bedroom suite was spacious and we had a washer/dryer and a full kitchen but we also were sharing one bathroom amongst the six of us. The unit was clean and well furnished but housekeeping only came by once a day usually in the morning before we’d leave to go outside so we would just get extra towels. The beds were comfortable but our unit had a lot of outside noise that would keep you up at night if you aren’t accustomed to that so I’d recommend some type of white noise. Road noise and noises around the complex are very loud inside. There is also a lot of artificial light from the outside walkway that leaks into the bedroom we stayed in and the curtains they use don’t block it out completely. Our children enjoyed the pool and soccer but preferred the pool at the Don Cesar hotel so we walked over there most days. We really didn’t interact much with any staff but it was the week before Christmas. This place is a great fit for large families, I just wish more care and attention had been put into the amenities here as well as taking care of simple things like making sure the curtains in the bedrooms next to the outdoor walkways are blackout curtains that drape and don’t leak. If we visit the Don Cesar hotel again we would just stay at the hotel itself. The main thing is to realize that the Beach House Suites are nothing like the hotel, it’s a half a mile down the beach and staying there would be a significantly different experience.
