My family and a group of other families have been clients of Royal Shell for many years. As a group of over 35, we have been renting summers at Coquina Beach on Sanibel since the 1990's. We have not been able to return, first due to Covid, then due to the total destruction of Coquina and Sanibel by hurricane Ian. We were finally notified on Feb 1 that units were starting to be available in Coquina for summer 2025, and there was a mad scramble to get units for our summer dates. Vicky, Julia and Mat went out of their way to try and secure the units we wanted on the dates we wanted. We really apprciate their patience in dealing with a very excited group of Salibel Lovers!! Kudos to Royal Shell, Vicky,Julia and Mat!!!!

I had to cancel a reservation. I was told by phone and in writing that I’d get a refund of my deposit (if unit rebooked.) The unit did rebook yet Royal Shell will not honor their word and provide the refund. I do not recommend this rental company.

We have rented large homes for about the last 10 years for our family - now consisting of 18 people. “Otter Banks” was by far, the best we’ve ever rented. The design of the main house plus a guest house fit our group perfectly. Having the waterway in the back, a large pool area with plenty of seating & short(ish) walk to the beach was great. Spacious common areas & a well-equipped kitchen helped make our vacation one of the best! We will be back!

We love the location and Accomodations. It’s an amazing family fun getaway. Lots to do and all within safe walking distance. We’ll be back Sunset Captiva 28.Also loved Sunset Captiva 30 and 47! Perfect and charming setting. Loved the wrap around back porch on 47, the location to restaurants and shopping and beach. The extra queen bed in downstairs TV room was great too. The only concern in 47 was that the dryer would not turn off on its own once we started it. We felt like that would be dangerous if not fixed. 30 was beautiful and very well stocked in Kitchen. We were disappointed the tennis courts weren’t ready to be used after being told they were but all in all we loved everything. The beach toys chairs etc. helped make our stay perfect in all the houses.

Since our condo on Sanibel is shut down due to the hurricane, we stayed in Captiva,Sunset Captiva. Very nice little community. Beach was steps away. Went to the Farmers Market and ate at the local restaurants. Many businesses are still closed but we all need to give our business to the places open. Progress is being made so be patient. Loved seeing the wildlife getting back to normal. Thanks for another great week.

Clean house, great location, easy walk to beach. Rented a golf cart from Yolo and enjoyed rides around the island and able to park it and all beach items under the house.

We had a wonderful week at Sunset Captiva #12. The house was clean, roomy and very well stocked. We loved the fact that it had the same Xfinity package as we do at home and a beautiful television to go with it.Being right across from the pool, it was noisy at times with children screaming, but guess that is to be expected.The proximity to the beach was very good and the beach was beautiful.We spend a lot of time on Boca Grande and this was very close in comparison.Wishing all the Island folks the very best as they recover from Ian. We will be back!!Lynne & Dave

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK YOUR VACATIONS. Do not confuse the beautiful breathtaking location with the quality of the service of this company. THERE ARE OTHERS such as SANIBEL SIESTA, KINGFISHER, even Airbnb THAT ARE MUCH MUCH BETTER FOR SANIBEL AND CAPTIVA.

My family and I did a family day trip to Captiva where we had the pleasure to meet Nancy DeBruce-Sisson. Nancy was very polite and went the extra mile for us to explain the area for us since it was our first time on the Island. Nancy also recommended a few local restaurants that we should eat at.

I was extremely happy with my condo vacation rental at Compass Point from Royal Shell. The condo was clean and the pictures on there website provided an accurate representation of the unit.
