What a joke of a place,ordered parts yesterday got the email saying ready to pickup, get there no parts in stock got to order from another store but they sure charged my card,looked today charge is still on my card so go back again, employee says he canceled charges, I said that's what you all said yesterday, things got heated I'm walking out tough guy blows me a kiss real professional. 17th st autozone has the worse customer service I've ever seen, won't be getting my business anymore

BEWARE, THIS AUTOZONE IS NOT TRUSTWORTY!!
My daughter went to this Autozone to get a new battery on 11/16/2024 at 12:04pm. Fernando sold her the most expensive battery, I get it. He then went to install the battery. He finally got it in 3 hours later. No exaggeration I have texts with times. My daughter went to leave and had no power steering. Fernando tells her he will call his mechanic friend to look at it. Fernando starts reading the Owner's Manual at 3:32pm. He then checks the fuses. Another worker, we think, comes and runs diagnostics at 4:40pm. Then tells her she needs a Transmission Control Module a $800 part. Granted she may need that, but that has nothing to do with the power steering. Mechanic arrives looks at diagnostics and agrees. 5:45pm her husband arrives and drives car with no power steering to their mechanic that is close by. She spent almost 6 hours at Autozone to get a new battery installed.
Next day, their mechanic ran diagnostics. Transmission Control Module came up as no fault. He said that they left a wire disconnected. Which my daughter said she specifically told Fernando to make sure he reconnects it. And they also cut the wire looms. She lost 6 hours of her weekend and $180 to pay a real mechanic.
I personally feel this is some sort of scam they must pull on people with no knowledge of car mechanics. Tell her she needs $800 part. She buys it. They act like they put it on but actually just plug the wire in. Car is fixed she is happy and drives off. They then sell or return the part and fatten their wallets. That is just my theory, but this situation definitely is shady.

I had never been to this store before. The store was busy and it took me awhile to find the items I wanted. Store personnel were all occupied with other customers but I finally found what I needed. Some of the shelves were very low on various items I needed and in fact I took the last car spray wax I was looking for. After I selected my items there were 3 open registers and all were occupied with customers being serviced so I waited in line to get serviced. One of the registers did not take cash and only took credit cards. The lady at the credit card register was kind and friendly. Customer service personnel were insufficient for the number of weekend customers.

I tried to return a battery in warranty that went dead. They told me it wasn’t the battery but another part. So, I took my jeep to 2 other mechanics including the Jeep dealership. Both of them told me it was the battery. After all that they basically told me sorry they would or honor my warranty cuz the battery according to them was fine. The battery wasn’t just a cheap battery either. It was a $250 battery. I had no other choice but to buy a battery. This time from batteries plus. Have not had a single issue since. DO NOT BUY A BATTERY HERE!!! They will cheat not honor their warranty when you need them too.

Amazing Service and staff are very helpful. Especially Donnie B he always goes out of his way to give you the best service. He helps you out to the best of his ability and is very polite and has been to me every single time I have come in and have seen him do the same to others. I had to write a Survey. I was a little disappointed because I came in today to get windshield wipers for my car, I was charged the most expensive set but I wasn't told I had cheaper options and when I got home my dad and boyfriend were shocked I paid 45 dollars for windshield wipers so I decided to go back and get my money back and get the cheaper ones Tonya who was LOVELY, helped me out and told me she was disappointed at whoever rung me up because as a customer service representative it is their job to inform customers like me of their options and not just charge the most expensive ones (I don't know if they make commission or something ) But I rate Tonya a 5/5 but whoever the guy was that did that I am upset
