For some reason you cannot call this branch directly to speak with someone. You have to call the main office, then they email the branch, and someone is supposed to call you back. Im from out of state, trying to contact someone about my grandmother's accounts for three weeks now with not a single call back. She has dementia, and im her poa. Customers service at its worst.

I have been very impressed with BankUnited. Peter Anderson is my banker and he even made a house call for me to make it easier to make a deposit. I would say that is going above and beyond the call of duty. I believe their interest rates are the best in town.

Peter Anderson and the staff at Bank United in Sarasota are true professionals. I highly recommend them for commercial bank services as well as personal. It is rare to get such great personal customer service these days, especially at a bank.

The best business banking experience I have ever had is with Bank United, particularly this branch! The branch manager (Peter Anderson) and all of the other bankers go above and beyond every time I need anything, especially things that are out of the ordinary. From wire transfers to deposits, drive up service to counter service, phone calls to emails, and interest rates to fund availability turnaround, this bank exceeds all of my expectations! Every experience here is better than the last, always treating me with the highest level of respect and professionalism.

I recently started banking with Bank United in Sarasota. I have nothing but glowing recommendations for the staff at Bank United, especially Peter Anderson and Joann Robinson. After arriving in Florida several years ago after the recession I opened a new business using a large bank and an SBA loan. Unfortunately when it came time to provide a commercial mortgage and LOC the other bank wanted bigger fish. Peter Anderson at BU got the job done, opened our LOC, secured us a commercial fixed rate mortgage and we moved our relationship. They are a conservative, community bank with interest paid on checking accounts and good products for the small business.

The longer I bank here the more useless they are. They close early never open on weekends and they don't have 24/7 customer support. If you're looking for a bank don't go with bank united

I feel that I was treated like a criminal almost the entire 8 months of having a business account here. I was asked to provide receipts showing how my debit withdrawals were being spent. I provided all requested documents, only to receive a letter that my account would be closed within one week. The letter gave no explanation whatsoever. The bank manager was pleasant, but no clear reason was ever given for closing my account, nor was I given contact information for whom specifically made that decision and/or how to contact them to dispute the matter. I was told that it was a corporate/B.S.A. decision. This was an upsetting and unfair experience.
