I love shopping local! This is such a fun store for all ages! Beautiful clothing, jewelry and excellent customer service and a plus in my book is that they are open late. So if you are shopping after dinner you can stop in until 10:00. P.m.! Located in the pink quadrant and be sure to pay the park, in between the daiquiri deck & the store everything but water.

I am a local to Sarasota and live just off the circle. This weekend it was my brother's birthday so we walked from the house for a stroll around the circle. While doing so my husband and brother grabbed a drink next store while my brother's girlfriend and I popped in to Binjara to shop! I tried on some pieces and as I was getting ready to check out, my husband walked in to come pay and was immedietly berated by a red headed employee (didn't catch her name) to leave because he had a drink in his hand. There was no "sir can you kindly step outside with your drink, we don't allow them in the store." Instead she scolded him from the other side of the store saying, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE, YOU CAN'T HAVE DRINKS IN HERE." To make matters worse the red headed employee didn't realize I was behind her and she turned to her coworker and started whispering about me and my family. I heard her clearly say "what are they doing in here, rediculous, they need to go back to daquiri deck where they belong" -talking about my husband and brother. Keep in mind we are completely sober, and not causing a scene by any means. I've worked in retail for 10+ years for a very well known company and this is the type of situation I would get written up/fired for. This was extremely inaproproate and immature behavior...especially coming from grown women. I couldn't believe she sat there and talked about me, and my family like that. I can't imagine the other things she says about customers behind their backs. I will NEVER step foot in this store ever again. It seems this store has no respect for it's customers. I was about to drop $100+ dollars but this store has lost my business and respect.

The prices are extremely high. $40 hour a tee shirt that you can get for like $5 from h&m. They had cute trendy dresses in the display window to come in. I did not see those dresses in the store. The clothes in the store cater to smaller, skinnier people. If you're really curvy and or on a budget I do not recommend this store. But the dresses in the window are cute you might be able to order those online.

I want to like this place so much they have great fabrics and my favorite jeans. They didn't have the dress I really wanted in my size and the owner (I'm assuming) asked the sales associate why she didn't check the back for my size and she said "she didn't ask me to". I did ask for it in my size.. also the moment I came in I was the only one there under 50 and they kept saying young girl steals I'm calling the police over and over again and kept saying fitting room 1 (I was in fitting room 1!). Even when I went up to the counter to buy my $80 jeans the owner goes I'm calling the police now. So weird! I was treating myself that day since I was on a much needed vaca and I may have looked weathered I started coming down with a cold that afternoon and I just left the beach. Msg to the owner: not all "young" people steal, you're all probably just salty when 30 somethings come into their stuffy old lady shop. I would of bought more things despite them not doing the 15% off for womens day like all the other boutiques in armands circle were except I was too uncomfortable to keep looking around.

Went into this store yesterday before noon with a friend. I guess I didn’t look like the perfect customer? I was totally ignored, and my friend was waited on. We were the only two people in the store. I wasn’t asked if I needed help a single time? The customer service is really disappointing for such a gorgeous store!

I love this store and the sister stores of Ivory Coast and Sahara. The clothes and jewelry are unique, fairly priced and of great quality. Most important the staff are pleasant and helpful. This is a not to be missed shopping experience on St. Armand's Circle. I’ve found many favorite clothes here!

I just had the most fabulous customer service experience. While shopping at Ivory Coast last week (one of their stores on St. Armand Circle), the salesperson and I got chatting and one of my necklaces didn't make into the bag. Here I am, a week later, and I get a call at work from the store, apologizing for forgetting the necklace and asking for a mailing address to ship it to me! Amazing. I assumed I had lost it while traveling. The clothes are beautiful, too -- I've already gotten multiple compliments on the two shirts I bought. I will be back as often as I can.

It’s like they don’t realize that poor service is something that consumers don’t really appreciate. That and the fact that we have outlets to rate our experiences on. Sometimes it’s not about right/wrong, but, about respect and empathy.

It is always great to get away and go to Florida. By far, our favorite place is Sarasota, and more so, Saint Armands Circle. We have gone so many times, but this is the first time I stumbled into Binjari Traders. What a great store with some incredible items. I absolutely love global inspired fashion and Binjari does not disappoint. There was an outstanding sale here and I ended up purchasing some beautiful cotton gauze dresses handmade in India for basically a song. In addition, they had some lovely silk palazzo pants made in Nepal and these two were so well priced. Accessories galore, I loved some wooden bangles, but they did not fit. However, I was able to score the perfect jute bag for this summer. This is a great place to shop if you love the casual global vibe. The staff is so kind and the store is wonderful. Roomy, earthy, spacious, tidy. Great experience at Binjari.

Tried to return two dresses a day after I bought them. BOTH times the sales assistants were rude and aggressive towards me. Telling me off for being so dense to ask for a return.
