Customer service is nice
But they price gouge me and stole my money from my account
But my bank is fighting for my money ?
I will never rent a car from them again
And I would not recommend them to anyone....... and this was during hurricane Milton in Sarasota, Florida ???

Horrible experience, I was discriminated by this Cuban lady that really didn’t care about my car rental after she found out my rental was going to be only for 24 hours, I did the reservation through Costco travel and never had a problem until this time at this horrible place, but hertz down the street came to pick me up for free to take me to their location and rented the car to me in a breeze, go with hertz down the street if you’re reading this, they are more professional,

Went into this location to get a moving truck, got the truck and after everything was loaded the tire sensor light went off and we realized the tire was bald and there was a nail in the tire that had been there so long the head was warn off. Due to the fact we were driving all the way to Pennsylvania the issue had to be addressed but instead of giving us the number to road side assistance they ask us to drive back and switch trucks. So everything we loaded had to be reloaded into another truck. After we got back we called to voice our displeasure and they called that location and the woman at the location lied and said no one would tell you to do that. I hope you think twice before going to this location. I know I will never

I would like to thank the staff of the Budget Rental in Sarasota While visiting Sarasota from Canada i came out from a restaurant and found my rental had been sideswiped and had a lot of damage. I picked the car up in Tampa but called this Budget as it was closed to my vacation spot at the time. First thing Sunday morning they answered my call. Walked me through returning my rental and trading it for another suitable rental. They were friendly and made me relaxed that everything would be fine. The office was very busy with many other people coming and going but the continued to support me while I filled out my personal insurance documents so they could complete there paperwork and exchange the smashed up car with a replacement rental. Thank you. !!! Your customer service was amazing and greatly appreciated. And you were correct it was simple to return the rental back to Tampa even though it was not the original one.Your support and friendly manner as well as your knowledge of the process was greatly appreciated!!!

Had a rental on Wednesday, arrived and there was a half hour wait for my vehicle despite making the reservation well in advance. I could not wait because I needed to get to the hospital, so I suggested coming back the next day to avoid the wait. Called because we are a few minutes (literally 10) late arriving due to traffic. The woman said there is a 30 minute wait because there are a lot of rentals and they “can’t hold cars” even though I have a reservation for today and told them I am on my way, still within 10 minutes of my reservation time. This is the worst rental car place I’ve ever been to. I have rented cars at small Enterprise rentals in Alaska and had a much better experience. Avoid this place.

Friendly staff here. However, when booking online, I had to pre-pay. I've never had to do this before. I needed to return the vehicle to another drop-off location. Budget wanted more money than the entire rental to do this! Never again. Won't use Budget!

Pick up in Sarasota went smoothly. Drop off in Kissimee was a little messy. Traffic was awful and I got there right at closing time. Tried calling ahead nobody answered. Got there and they were gone. Customer service said no after hours drop-off. Come back in the morning. Got back at opening time and lady proceeds to tell me how you can leave keys at the front desk of the hotel. All worked out. But could gave gone a little smoother.

I they'll never do Budget rental. I waited in line from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. Then when I went to get my vehicle they didn't have it. So I had to drive a Dodge ram on my vacation around Florida. I made a phone call to ask if I can switch vehicles they said I can change it at any budget because I wasn't going back to the airport waiting a line again. So I went to a different budget and they told me to go back to the airport because they couldn't trade it in for me

We received a banged up and nearly broken down car at the Sarasota town site (not airport). We were asked if we’d accept an upgrade to an SUV from a full sized car, not knowing what exactly we were about to get. Once on the lot and saw the car, I went back in and was told I could not change the car I had ‘accepted’.Not only did this car reek of cigarette smoke, the upholstery was extremely stained, the mileage was over 61,000 miles and the body was pretty banged up.As we drove the car to the west coast of Florida the very next day, we had all kinds of dashboard messages flash and the tire symbol also lit up. We called the 800 number to get advice on how to exchange the vehicle and was advised to go to the Boca Raton office - no problem the 800 customer service person said. We called the office before going over and was told ‘DO NOT bring it over’ as they only had a lot full of broken cars there, nothing to exchange this car with. Afraid to drive this car, we essentially parked this car until we had to leave.On the last day of our rental, we drove very slowly to the Palm Beach airport to drop it off and was very relieved we made it there safely.Something is very wrong with the Budget brand and I certainly can’t recommend them to others.
