I was given the contract and vehicle that was booked by someone else and was charged wrongfully on my credit card.They were not able to resolve my issues despite going there and was still given the wrong vehicle with different vehicle listed on the agreement.They charged my credit card twice and the manager did not fulfill the compensation promise.Neither did anyone reply to my email complaint.I am working with my credit card provider to fight back for my wrong multiple charges.I will never rent from Budget in the future.There were few customers with similar experience while I was standing in line at the Sarasota airport.

Everything went smoothly except the in airport check in to get the rental car. Seems like you could make it much faster by automating the process like flying for business has done. I just picked up the keys and verified my identity when I traveled for IBM. Please automate the process.

Effortless transaction receiving and returning the rental car. Car was impeccably clean (2023 Charger). Gentleman at the counter who assisted with my transaction was nice!

Arrived somewhat late at SRQ airport but Budget was open so a pretty quick check in was done. We didn’t have a walk thru on the convertible, but we figured everything out ok and had a nice time every time we drove around Sarasota with the top down. Good clean car and plenty of room for our luggage and beach stuff when we did that. The return was fast They were quite busy when we took it back and they whisked right thru. We were done in no time. Enjoyed the car so much we added a couple more days to the rental period. Will recommend Budget and use them again ourselves.

Watch your bill. Overcharged 80$ for car 1 hour late. It was there on time, staff was busy and checked my car in 30 min late and I got charged for it. Have also been charged for gas when returning full tank...Take pictures. Annoying to have to call and waste time for these consistent overcharging of bills.

This was the worst experience I ever had renting a car. It took 2 hours just to get a vehicle that I had prepaid for. The people behind the dest had no idea what they were doing. It took 2 of them to get my paperwork done. I was told by one that I couldn't add a driver to my contract if the other person is also renting a car. He said you can't have your name on two contracts. After calling there manager we found out you can. But they never told me that they added the other person back on. There for I didn't use the other driver. So I wasn't a bunch of money adding a driver I didn't know was on there. It was unbelievable how long it took to get and car and how much the workers didn't know. The workers also were rude and talked down to me even though they were wrong about my contract. The car i was given was very nice and clean inside. The vehicle was the only good thing i can say happened. Besides that It was horrible experience and will never recommend any one to use this company.

Was charged bogus charges; said I was late a day but early. Paid for the fuel program but charge $100 fee and unlimited miles but charged miles. Even showed my military ID as I was given military discount. Went from $238 to $564.

Sarasota is an easy airport to pick up and drop off your car. The only thing is wait time to pick up but that is not the employees fault. Drop off is super simple and easy. Never a problem with budget and always get nice vehicles.

2021 Mustang convertible. Car was dirty inside and out. No floor mats front or back in car. Back windows on both sides would not shut when top was closed. Had to literally pull into place so car was closed properly. 40-50 during week rental. Had to carry towel to use while pulling to keep black grime off hands. Car needed front alignment, pulled to the right during driving and braking Scratches galore. some dents trim parts falling off. Also something on exhaust loose, rattled at hot idle.

Rented a Suburban for vacation. There was a Suburban in the lot, but someone else, who was not there, had also rented a Suburban. We had to take a totally different class of vehicle (minivan) and we’re told we could check other locations. We called ahead to Orlando airport (kind of on our way) they had one but wouldn’t reserve it. When we got there it was gone. I was supposed to get a call from the Sarasota manager to adjust the price (Suburban to Minivan) . We returned the vehicle today at 9:30 AM it’s now 5:30 PM and nada. But wait, it gets better - we got a clear invoice, no damage, full of fuel, $0.00 balance. Now I get a $215.00 charge to my credit card. No one locally has a phone - except for personal cell phones. Avoid Budget like the plague.

Pick and location easy, drop off easy as well The problem was oil change light was on, low washer fluid light was on, all tires low in pressure, left front unrepairable flat tire, rear wiper was broken, GPS screen kept going blank, purchased roadside assistance, was told to take car to repair facility and pay for repair. During my VACATION. Disappointed car was not prechecked before releasing it.

I only use Budget/Avis when I travel! They train their staff (customer service agents) well! When I was stranded (Dec) ny the airline in Kansas City (13 hours past home) I was able to get a car with no problem to drive home! The agent entered the information incorrectly that I would be returning the car to Kansas City. I called because of the charge to my credit card, it was corrected immediately and I was given a heart felt apology. I strongly recommend BUDGET/AVIS for your rental needs! Thank you guys for always making the rental process smooth sailing!

After arrived at the airport it took over an hr to get some kind of service. Budget did not have standard SUV available I reserved. What is the point of reserving if cars might or might not be available. Instead of reserved standard SUV I was given small SUV Mazda CX-30. Very interesting Tag on the key was wrong as it said said mazda 5. Key fob was missing one side and missing manual key normally sits In it and metal cover from gas tank was missing not to mention there was some network msg on dashboard. Horrible experience.

While not typical of Budget at Sarasota airport, I was disappointed with the service this time. Inside airport clerk was inefficient, waited excessive amount of time for car, tank not full, and windshield dirty as though the car was not cleaned. I do not think I will be renting from Budget at this location again.

I prepaid for a luxury SUV. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle at the airport, I was informed that they had no such vehicles available. I was provided a much smaller and inferior vehicle that made my family's trip uncomfortable for the 10-day rental period. Sarasota manager, Taylor Cole, did not respond to my email despite the fact that I was told to contact her. Finally after contacting customer service, they agreed to refund my credit card the difference between the luxury SUV and the inferior vehicle I got. Well, if course! Otherwise they are stealing from me. No compensation for the inconvenience or discomfort. Poorly ran company, and it apparently starts in management.
