I took my antique watch in for a clasp repair, after not hearing from them for 10 days, I called only to be told they couldn't identify the gold. They actually said they don't even think it's gold, they think it's possibly stainless steel. Therefore they won't work on my watch. This surprised me and let me know this is not the place for my fine jewelry as I have an appraisal describing this watch in great detail and the type of metal as 14k pink gold. This jewelry store can't identify the gold? Or doesn't have the knowledge to identify it? With no call to pick up my watch and inability to identify the gold I find the lack of professional appalling and would give 0 stars if I could.

I brought my wedding ring in for side stone tightening and center stone re-set as the prong was slightly shifted and would catch fibers and hairs. I was quoted and given an estimate of "ready by mid-week" of the following week for pick up. They even offered to take a look at all other side stones, I was thinking this was a great situation so far. I was sent an invoice the same day and paid it in full (I will not do that again). When I called to ask if it was ready for pick up by the estimated time provided, I was told it was "on the bench and would be ready next week." I told them they gave me that same information when I originally dropped it off five days earlier. This is now pushing into week two for this repair. Giving the benefit of doubt, I waited another week for the repair to be completed. When I called the second time to get a confirmation that the ring was ready, I was told it was "on his bench and should be done by end of day or first thing tomorrow morning." At this point it was clear to me that this was a back burner item for the company and was not being handled professionally in a timely manner. After coming in the next day, it was apparent that all they did was clean the ring. The center stone was not re-set and the side stone was clearly not tightened. Upon asking them to take a second look, the side stone was tightened and some of the fibers/hairs were pulled out giving the appearance of the repair being completed. I had concerns at this point but in frustration decided to take my ring home with me. Once taking a closer look at home it was clear that the center stone was not re-set as there were still fibers/hairs stuck deep in the chair of the prong indicating they did not accurately complete the agreed upon task. Not trusting them to correct the issue with a third opportunity and also considering the length of time and previously over-extended promises with a poor execution of work, I will not be using their services moving forward.

This is not the original Coffrins. New owners who want to charge outrageous fees for sizing rings. Looking for a new jeweler

I’d definitely recommend.

I would give this place more stars if I could. I could not be happier with the service we received here at Coffrin’s! Right out of the gate we were greeted by the lovely Joann and she made this whole experience unforgettable! To add to that, the jeweler they have in store not only exceeded expectations with the quality of the work, but also did what was supposed to be a 2 week job, in less than 2 hours. I would recommend this shop to absolutely anyone looking!!!

I brought my Tiffany clock in for a repair in December. For $140 I expected the internal clock work to be replaced. It was not and the repair lasted less than a month. I have no idea about their jewelry services but if you need a clock repair, they are the worst.

If I could give zero stars I would.Terrible communication and customer service! Two months after commissioning a custom necklace I finally just took my diamonds back because they literally did nothing and never communicated that there was a problem.

I am so angry. My daughter brought her diamond solitaire necklace in for a repair. The repair guy did a fine repair of the bit that had broken, but he added jump rings to the clasp and reattached the clasp on the wrong side of the necklace. My daughter brought it back in to get the clasp put on the correct side and have the extra jump rings removed. When he did that he left the extra jump ring he put on and removed the thick original connector to the clasp stamped with “14k” gold. What kind of professional jewelry repair person takes off the original stamped bit?!?!?! I was furious. He then had to solder that back on. He did it, but now the chain isn’t centered and it looks soldered. I am so angry and disappointed. We want to Coffrin expecting the best professionalism. This was a hack job. The chain alone, without the diamond, cost $350 and he basically ruined it. I will remove this review if the owner of Coffrin’s will make this right and replace the chain with a new one.

Can you give zero stars? Coffrin Jewelers has terrible customer service!I dropped off an unmounted Diamond and a drawing of a necklace I wanted them to custom make. After giving them a deposit and picking out a chain they were supposed to send me a CAD drawing of the final design, which I never received. After 4 weeks when I went to the store to check on my piece, they told me there was an issue getting the chain I wanted and said it would be Monday. Needless to say I didn't hear anything that Monday, and why wasn't I notified when it became apparent that particular chain wasn't available? Then I was told it would be 6 weeks and I asked again for the CAD design to be sent to me via e mail. Three weeks later I still did not receive even so much as an e mail or a phone call. I only had any communication when I would stop at the store asking questions. After 2 months I went by the store yet again and asked for my Diamond to be returned to me as well as my deposit. There was some mumbling about a new jeweler coming in sometime???Why wasn't I told they didn't have a jeweler on-site all that time?!?!Also when I asked to to get my deposit returned, I was told the employee couldn't get into the system because they had changed their point of sale system. I am supposed to receive a phone call today about my deposit being returned to me but over 2 hours later I haven't heard from them, so there will be further action taken to ensure I get my money back.I don't understand how a store can stay in business with such poor communication. Save your self some headache and heartache, DONOT do business with Coffrin Jewelers!

If you experience anything similar to my experience below, I highly recommend filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney General, BBB, and disputing with your credit card company.Edit: I was told to bring in the platinum setting this week and I would be issued a refund (see image of text message). I went in this morning 12/10 and the appraiser Dan said he could not issue the refund as he promised via text. I then told Dan that I would unfortunately have to dispute the purchase with my credit card company. Dan said OK and then attempted to keep the platinum setting that I was trying to exchange for my refund. I had to tell Dan twice to give me my property back since he would not be issuing a refund. In my opinion Daniel should not be responsible for handling large amount of money or expensive jewelry. There is no place in a jewelry store or in the jewelry industry for Daniel’s “grabby” behavior or believing items are his to keep when they are obviously not his property. Based on my first hand experience, I recommend using caution when exchanging money or expensive items with this worker.Dan also immaturely “thanked” me for my Google review via text message (also see image below). This behavior is consistent with this companies responses to others negative reviews so it does not come as a surprise. This is unprofessional on so many levels. The dishonesty combined with sketchy business practices are honestly appalling. I have a given dedicated effort to work through this issue with the business but unfortunately am now forced to dispute with my credit card and explore my legal options to recover what is owed to me.Proceed with caution when trusting these people with your hard earned money.initial:Paid over $1800 to have an oval diamond (provided by me) set in a simple solitaire setting. The first time I picked up the ring the diamond was NOT centered in the setting. How can a professional jeweler let something like this leave their shop? I took the ring back to be centered and it was returned 3 days before my engagement with a totally different stock head that was full of metal and not in the “petit claw prong” setting I requested and paid almost $2000 for. The woman in the store told me nothing could be done and sarcastically said “congratulations” as I walked out unhappy a second time. I am very disappointed in the quality and lack of detail by this jeweler. The jeweler should have never taken the job if he knew he was not capable of providing the requested service. I took my diamond to Jared and had it reset perfectly in 24hrs and my fiancé is in love with the ring! It has been two weeks and I have still heard nothing from the manager on my request for a refund.

5 stars! I recently visited Coffrin Jewelers and let me tell you what an amazing experience I had! I was greeted with a warm welcome and staff eager to help as soon as I entered. Bruce in particular immediately jumped in and assisted with any questions I had and was very knowledgeable about the products in store. All of the services were handled in a timely manner and with accuracy, along with a smile! I would highly recommend Coffrin's for all of your jewelry needs!!

My son wanted to give his great grandmother’s ring to his fiancé for her engagement. They took this 100 year old ring, a very unique stylized one, and sized it down from 8 1/2 to 6. It is beautiful!! I didn’t think it could be done because of the ring’s intricate style, but they did it and we’re so very pleased and happy! Incredible artists!
