Never a fan of many card games, but I am intrigued by a game called cutting ? Similar to bingo but cards? Chime in if you are privy to those great ?.. #support local business #VA”
“An absolute gem! You feel like you’re in an enchanted forest. There are all these different structures and setups for kids to use their imaginations. Well worth our lengthy drive to come here!”
“Great place to go if looking to adopt, or just visit the animals. The employees are very kind, and all the animals seem well cared for & comfortable. We were able to sit in a room and interact with 2 disabled cats who are treated like royalty. Love going here just to visit the animals.”

5201 Richardson Rd, Sarasota“Went here for a Celebration of Life for a family member and had a GREAT TIME! The bar staff were very friendly and outgoing and the live Band the "NayBurz" were OUT OF THIS WORLD! They were fantastic!!!! The drink prices were a *little* on the high side, but just like everything else that's to be expected, as prices are rising these days. I would definitely recommend the American legion for an event birthday party anniversary or anything in between! They have pool tables darts a jukebox (for days that there isn't a live band) You won't regret it!!!”

1610 67th Ave E, Sarasota“Small service area. Could benefit from more sanitizer items on the customer tables. Hard to social distance in the small room. Food was ok and typical of this type of organization.”
“The mission of Vintage Paws is "Saving senior dogs...four paws at a time by providing a sanctuary for displaced senior dogs to live out their lives with dignity surrounded by the loving care they deserve," and the team fulfills it beautifully. Jennifer and the volunteer board put it so much time to rescue, treat, care for, and find homes for these sweet senior dogs. I have volunteered a couple of times so far - walking/cuddling the dogs. There are loads of volunteer opportunities - delivering food to shut-ins with pets, driving the senior dogs to vet appointments, events, and much more. It is clear the folks here sincerely care for the wellbeing of these dogs. Kathy Wells is volunteer coordinator and she's fantastic - she's at the facility nearly every day! Great place to adopt or foster a doggo in the area. And if you're looking for a place to donate volunteer hours, I hope you consider Vintage Paws Sanctuary!”
“I’m very happy for the service. By being a senior on social security Meals on Wheels makes it possible for me to have a couple of dollars to put towards other things. Thank You very much for being there. ????”
“I'm on disability and my rent just increased and they were able to help me with my electric bill. Very nice and friendly I got the help that I needed and I greatly appreciate it. They're doing the Lord's work.”

“After a brief waiting period, I had the opportunity to transfer my mother to The Pines Memory Care Facility from another institution, and the disparity in quality and care between the two establishments is remarkably profound. The professionalism and attentiveness of the staff at The Pines are commendable. They promptly respond to requests, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and dedication. It has been heartening to witness staff members across various roles exhibiting genuine compassion and care towards all residents.I am particularly grateful for the open communication maintained by the nursing staff and other caregivers. They proactively contact me with updates regarding any changes in my mother's behavior or well-being, ensuring I am fully informed and involved in her care. The administration has been incredibly accommodating, extending invitations to care planning meetings and willingly adjusting schedules to suit my availability, which has significantly enhanced the collaborative approach to my mother's care plan.Observing my mother transition from a state of confusion and discomfort to feeling settled and at home within her room has been profoundly reassuring. The cleanliness of her living space and the facility's communal areas is consistently impeccable, further reflecting the high standards upheld by The Pines. The previous facility where my mother resided temporarily pales in comparison to The Pines in every conceivable aspect. I am profoundly thankful for the opportunity to have my mother reside at The Pines, and I highly recommend this facility for their exceptional care, professionalism, and dedication to residents' well-being.”
