Made a hair appointment with Taylor a few weeks ago. The week of my appointment I received no reminder call or text, so I reached out to confirm my appointment date and time. It’s now been over 24 hours since I called and I still have not had any communication from the salon. Terrible customer service.

Taylor is great. My long layered wavy hair is cut in well. As good a cut as the high end spa salons but way less.

I’ve had numerous wonderful experiences with Tamera and her staff. From corrective color to keratin treatments and cuts. They’re all knowledgeable and best part is Tamera is a color expert. I highly recommend the salon to anyone that asks for hair experts!

Such a friendly group of people at this salon! Helpful and VERY knowledgeable. The owner clearly has been doing this for a while. She did such an amazing job on my hair and I couldn’t think of anyone better to be doing what she does! I will definitely continue to go to this salon and would highly recommend anyone to use this salon for their hair needs. Everyone was so friendly and it felt like a family there!

I decided to come to this salon after over 2 years of getting partial highlights at another salon. My second time here was last week when I saw Tamera to get a partial highlight and trim, which had looked great the first time. I explained I wanted to brighten up the ends a bit without getting a full highlight (because I have naturally brown hair) and she looked very confused and unsure what to do. She even said that she can only do that if I get a full highlight, but then told me that she can do what I wanted after explained at least 3 times I just wanted to brighten the ends and blend out the color with my natural. She said “that’s a balayage,” which I was confused about but just trusted her skills and years of experience doing hair. After finishing my hair, half of it was orange and I asked her why it looks like this and if there’s a way to fix it. She said the only thing she can do is bleach it again (which will kill it) or I can go home and use purple shampoo… Was very unsatisfied with that. Went home and used purple shampoo and, as you can imagine, that did not work. Not to mention, the next day was my birthday and I had to go in and see another stylist to “fix it,” who was much nicer about the situation, but still didn’t fix the orange tone to the hair. I’ve attached a picture where you can clearly see the orange and it’s absolutely not fixed. I am super disappointed in my experience here and will be going elsewhere to get it fixed, not to mention will be spending more money because they could not do it right here.

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. Very unorganized establishment lacking cleanliness, respect and skills. I will not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I met Taylor ,I think it was 2018 when my daughter was attending skin care school locally . I had been looking for a local hair stylist because it was a long drive to St Pete to see my stylist when I lived there.I just never found a good one in Sarasota that wasn’t expensive and you had to work around “ their” schedule not when “ you” needed your hair done. Taylor was getting her “ Florida” license. My daughter told me she needed clients for her hands on clinicals and said she was always busy and the clients hair looked great leaving.My first visit was a success. She has a great personality. She listens to your wants, makes suggestions and listens to feedback on any concerms .She soon became an instructor of the school . That should tell you something.Fast forward , we became great friends and she has now found her home with Details Hair Salon. Its a lovely shop. All the ladies there are very nice, they all help each other out. Taylor always finds a way to fit me in diring my return home from traveling. I almost dont want to give the secret away how great she is , but I dont want anyone else to miss their opportunity of finding a wonderful and talented hair stylist.

Lisa has been cutting my hair since I came to Sarasota about 3 years ago .Never have I had a better haircut.It grows so perfectly nice until I see her again .

I had a WONDERFUL experience at this salon. They squeezed me in at the last minute and stylist Rose was super sweet and talented. She got my rainbow hair to be a wonderful copper blonde just like I wanted! The whole staff was friendly and welcoming! Would definitely recommend to friends and family for a wonderful experience.

Taylor is the real deal .. A fast lane throwback transplanted new yorker herself ... shes my go to queen when it comes to amazing color, fab cuts, and locally informed recs for all things gulf coast yummy!!! Taylor Details is the best salon... welcoming, reasonable, and a pleasure to be there regularly!! I love theres no pressure to spend up as ive encountered in so many other salons! Details
