Be aware that Dillard’s no longer recognizes a receipt as proof of purchase. If you don’t have a special little sticker on the clothing tag then you can not exchange (or I assume return) your purchase. I spent $800 on Tommy Bahama clothes and wanted to exchange a pair of Tommy Bahama pants because the crotch was an 1” longer than the other color I bought. I brought the good pair with me for reference and all the tags from my purchase, but I didn’t have the super special sticker so I was shut down instantly. She didn’t even look at the receipt. I’d recommend buying directly from the manufacturers stores if possible or purchase online from the manufacturer so there are no questions as to where you purchased your clothes.

They charge for shipping a order . Not a good policy !
Doesn’t matter if it’s in stock or not or the amount you spend . Shipping should be free - not good customer service to do that sort of thing ..

They sold me a toddler trike that wasn’t what was in the box and upon me returning it made me feel like I was a criminal that swapped it out. Had security toofless Jerry follow me around the mall. Dimitri came darting towards me with the box as I was literally walking back to the store heading back to my vehicle and proceeded to ask me to follow them to their back room- with my 1 1/2 year old son… Do better Dillards- after decades of a loyal customer I will never return again. Never took accountability for sending the security guard after me. How about you trace the purchase and find who returned it last.

Dillards always have brands I like. Quality is good. Staff is so so.

Dillard staff overwhelmed poorly trained chargers for shipping (even to store if not in stock. Sales staff kept telling me go online. Very disappointed

I’ve never felt more uncomfortable. I was in the store Maybe 5 minutes, I tried on two pairs of Polo pants which I did not like so I folded them and put them back. I began to exit the store when I noticed a bald man with no name badge walking circles around me, he was very Hyper and aggressive the entire encounter. then started following me very closely while speaking about me to someone on the phone. I stopped and asked the man if there was something I could help him with when he told me “no I’ll see you in a little bit” he then continued to follow me so I asked what was wrong. He then told me I had stolen a t-shirt and it was in my right pocket. I stopped at the front and spoke to the security guard and asked the guard if she had any questions for me because this man is accusing me of stealing. She said no. I then asked to speak to the store Manager when the same man said it’s me. I insisted he speak to someone from the asset protection team to see if he’s been mistaken but it seemed much easier for him to accuse me in front of people and Humiliate me. I asked if the store manager was in the store and if I could speak to them. He told me that he was the manager for the day. I then asked for his name when he laughed and walked away.. I Cannot express how uncomfortable and unprofessional this encounter was. I will absolutely not be returning to the store and I hope a supervisor of this man watches the video of our encounter and can explain to this man how unprofessional and wrong his actions were. I believe I was absolutely discriminated by him from the moment I walked in to the men’s section. Very disappointed in my experience and the level of professionalism this man had especially considering he was in charge of the entire store. Very aggressive.

Horrible experience today stood waiting for nearly an hour just trying to return a couple things. Was asked for ID then system suddenly wouldn’t work. Dillards makes it nearly hopeless to do business with let alone returns.

I was there couple days ago at the men's shoe department, I was served by 3 men, one more uninformed and rude than the other, poor quality of service.

I just want to say shame on Dillards at UTC mall for making their employees go to work when hurricane Helene is approaching. They may be the only store open at the mall too. I hope they are at least paying these employees double time. Greedy Corporate Company

Fish mall by farand especially the perfume counter at Dillard's Has got to be one of the most annoying places I have ever shopped. The perfume counter sales girl accosted me the second I picked up a bottle of perfume to smell it. Did she think I was gonna run out of the store and not pay for it. I hate annoying sales people. I was gonna buy some cologne for myself but I will get it somewhere else. Dillard's should rethink their sales tactics. Let a customer have some timetable look before accosted them. It's very annoying salespractice they got. I left the store completely and will NEVER RETURN TO DILLARDS AT UTC SARASOTA

Sometimes hard to find a clerk to pay for your items. When you do, they complain about being understaffed.

My wife and I visited Dillard's at UTC to buy a suit for my grandmother’s funeral and our oldest daughter’s wedding. We met Mr. Roland, a savvy, fast-talking salesman, who showed us photos of satisfied customers and shared personal anecdotes. After two hours of trying on various items within our budget, Mr. Roland informed us that the suits I tried on were actually double our budget. He assured us the only difference between the more expensive and cheaper suits was the material.
When I asked about the return policy, he said returns were possible, but the area manager, Demetri, clarified that custom suits could not be returned and left without resolving the issue. We were left with Mr. Roland and another salesman, David, who continued to insist that the only difference was the material, which felt misleading.
The bait-and-switch tactics and the unhelpful response from management wasted our time and left us very disappointed. Be cautious of Dillard’s sales and management practices when shopping for men's suits.
