I’m at the signing of the contract stage of a master bathroom redesign. Have been working with their designer Katie, who’s been doing a great job. She zeroed in on my likes and preferences and was a big help with picking out all my materials, always keeping my budget in mind. I wanted a particular faucet design and she was able to get it for me, which to my surprise, was excellent! Every step so far has been done with total professionalism and I expect it will continue as the job progresses. So far, so good.

I tackled a top to bottom remodel of a 1990 villa and i couldn't have done it without Gilbert Design. Mark Bayliss was my project manager and he sent me photos and remarks almost daily. It was a pleasure working with such a professional and personable crew. Top notch from design appointments, flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing - any part of a remodel we don't think of - they do!

Excellent work. Replaced an old shower with magnificent marble walls and floor. Found exactly the color marble I wanted although it was rare. Added plumbing features, safety bars and proportional seat. Superior craftsmanship. This is a really a high end company-- professional and timely. Two years later when minor issues occurred in the normal course of wear and tear the company made fixes for no charge.

I am extremely pleased with the total remodel of the master bathroom by Gilbert Design Build. The entire process was smooth going, professional with very high quality products & workmanship. Fernando was spot on with the redesign and was very helpful in the selection process of products & was in tune with my style & preferences. Justin was a super project manager and seamlessly coordinated all workers and ensured that installation & product delivery went smooth & timely. Justin communicated with me all time & was available to answer questions & offer suggestions. He always was responsive to calls & messages. Jesse did the majority of the installation. Jesse kept me in the loop & consulted with me when an unforeseen circumstance occurred. Jesse has a positive “can-do” attitude and approaches any adjustment creatively & always got the job done. His attention to detail is impeccable.All the professionals who came to do work were polite, careful of the property and always left everything cleaned up inside & out.Services: Tile work installation

Gorgeous showroom, established dealer. You can tell alot about a kitchen dealer just by the showroom. If your dealer has broken, dirty displays... Leave. A quality dealer should look like Gilbert... Clean, creative, professional.

I contracted Gilbert Design Build for a small project to enhance the kitchen in my new-construction home. I received multiple quotes to do this project and selected Gilbert as their pricing was very fair and they have a great reputation in the community. They did a fantastic job installing a somewhat complicated backsplash and creating a solution to the extra space I had above my cabinets. It looks amazing! The work was done by Jesse, who was extremely meticulous. It's obvious he really cares about his work - the craftsmanship is excellent and he was a pleasure to have in my home. Most of the project was done while my husband and I were at work, and Jesse always kept me informed via text message with progress as well as his arrival and departure times, which was above and beyond! I also worked with Richard throughout the project and he did a great job communicating with me and keeping me updated. As an architectural designer, I am kind of (ok, VERY) picky but Gilbert Design Build exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them for projects of any size!Service: Tile work installation

If I could give them a zero rating, I would. Here is a recap of my experience in what should have been a straightforward bathroom remodel. We wanted a new tile surround, a new vanity, sink and faucet, a new mirror. We kept our tub, shower head, toilet and floor. When we signed the contract at the end of May 2022, i was very clear that i wanted the work to start in the middle of October 2022. That didn't happen. When they finally started work in November, 2022 (in the aftermath our in-person visit to complain to the owner) the vanity was incorrectly ordered, so they substituted a different one. The replacement vanity was delivered with a "scarred" side-panel. So, they had to order a new side panel, which they did. The mirror they ordered was incorrect, was reordered, supposedly in stock, and then we were told that it was back ordered, and that this would delay the job completion by several weeks. We found this out only because we called to check on what was holding things up. We ended up buying it ourselves in order to facilitate progress on the job completion. . The tile they purchased and installed was defective and had to be removed. So, we had to go out and buy satisfactory, substitute tile ourselves, which they then installed, but this added to timeline for the job completion. The countertop was installed, but the caulk started to bubble within a week, which they then remedied. The drawer pulls were ordered incorrectly, but installed. So, since the ones we had ordered had different holes, rather than another delay, we decided to live with them. During the course of the actual work, as the incorrect ordering and resultant project delays came one after another, multiple attempts were made to contact the owner, Ernest Gilbert. No response. And then the final invoice came without any of the credits due us for the tiles and grout we had purchased, nor the difference in price between the proper ones and the incorrect ones. They would not give us a line-by-line accounting for the various bathroom hardware, sink, faucet, vanity involved with this project. We had no idea what we were being charged for any single item. In sum, this was a project fraught with ordering delays, poor quality control on multiple items, and poor communication. I would never use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone As I said in the beginning, zero rating.
